Quick Take: safe, effective
I have never tried one of these gizmos before, but I have developed pretty bad acne. Something will pop-up overnight, and will be to the point of popping if I touch it, so I decided I might as well "extract" the zit in a more professional manner. It is so simple to use, and doesn't leave gaping holes on your face or anything. I would recommend it.

Quick Take: flawed in design
The loop type extractor works far better than this one. The hole is small, and the way it's designed, you can't really tell if you are on the right spot before you press. Well made, but for blackhead extraction, go with the loop type extractor.

I have recently purchased the extractor, which works quite well on my boyfriend and I. However, I do warn people to check the extractor head completely before purchasing. The first one I had picked up (and didn't realize at the time) had incredible sharp edge; store had no problem returning for another (took a quite a few feels before I was satisfied). The lance end is VERY sharp and works great! Overall, pretty decent purchase.

Quick Take: amazing
After reading the other reviews I was a bit weary about this product. All of that was tossed out when I used it for the first time. I love this product. Gone are the days of popping pimples with dirty finger nails. Now my face looks clearer because I get rid of pimples without touching my face.

This is a product I returned. The extractor worked decently although the angle for firm pressing was odd. The lance was a disappointment as it was not sharp at all. I had been using a straight pin which does a much better job

THE BEST EXTRACTOR!

I am a licensed esthetician and I can not get through my teen facials without the use of Sephora's Complexion Extractor. I suggest to all my young clients that this tool is a must have. It is so much safer to use than other extraction tools or your dirty fingertips. The pimples just pop right out!
