Quick Take: long wearing, smudgable
I use Mambo, and it is great- lasts a long time,and blends well! I love it because it can also be used as a shadow when buffed out, and I have never seen another liner quite the same color. LOVE IT!!!

Quick Take: long wearing
I was surprised how little this pencil did for me. A fan of NARS products (esp. now discontinued "London" pencil) for some time, I found this pencil to be rough on my lids, lacking color and wearability - not sure the required base would have helped it. I made the return.

I don't hate this product, I just thought it would be better. I usually only put pencil liner on my lower lash line and i've had a hard time getting this product to even show.. it fades fast and smudges alot and makes darkness under my lids. I guess it's only great to use on the top lash line for a more sheer liner look

I was shocked how bad this eye liner was given all the great reviews and the price tag. It was hard to get on and I had to tug and pull my eyelids to get it on. Then it would smear onto my eye lids. Later in the day I found it smeared on the top of my eye lids and it faded very quickly. The color is good, but the actual formula is horrible. I am returning it.

As with all NARS products, the color is gorgeous. I purchased the Kaliste color which is a peacock teal sort of color and it looks great against very dark brown eyes. I use a thin line of black then top it off with this color. The pencil glides on and stays on. It's a must have!

I intended to order the eye pencil that you do NOT sharpen, that you just turn the end and more appears! This one did not go on well, and I returned in xchange for the one that you do not sharpen.

This pencil is the best I have ever used. It's neither too soft nor too hard, stays on and doesn't smudge, and until I found Nars my search for a good olive-y green penci (not a forest green) had been fruitless. What luck — gorgeous, hard-to-find color, stays put, and the pencil lasts a good long time.

I'll admit, I bought this eyeliner just to get the free iPhone case. But I have this problem with eyeliner smudging down my face throughout the day. I went to Sephora and they recommended eye makeup primer. Which doesn't really help. I think I have greasy eyelids or something, which says all kinds of things I don't want to think about. I'm sure it's fine. For someone without greasy eyelids.

This was the perfect eye pencil. Went on creamy smooth, stayed close to my lash line, and stayed there all day. Easily smudgeable--but not in the bad way. I will say, if you have fidget fingers, you might smear it if you rub your eye, but i think this applies to all makeup.
