Never use this if you don't want damaged hair.
-05.13.13
Quick Take: not worth the damage (hair and wallet)
I bought and returned this a while back thinking it would make layering easy, but the blade comes dull and all it did was break a lot of my hair and do terrible damage. If you think your good at cutting hair, but still are an armature like me, I recommend the tweezerman sheers, I use them all the time to trim slit ends now and they are still very sharp, clean cutting and well made. As for the thinning sheers, you shouldn't try to take shortcuts with hair, just use traditional layering techniques (like twisting) with normal sheers and NO razoring or pulling!

I have super thick hair and these thinning shears are perfect for me to do my hair.
It's so painful having to go and get haircuts an paying 25 dollars all the time to thin my hair out and now I have these and I'm saving money and time plus it's just how I like it.
I love these shears:)

Am I Missing Something?
-01.26.13
Quick Take: disappointing
I see all these reviews saying how great it is, that it gets the job done, It wouldn't cut a single thing for me! not even a single strand of hair. I'm confused, I'm pretty sure I know how to "cut" my bangs, but apparently not with these. Disappointed.

Great Shears
-09.19.12
I bought these to tream up the back of my husbands hair and I been using them to layer my Yorkies hair so that I can learn before I start cutting on his hair and my daughter. I know it sounds funny but there hair is much like humman so its great to practice. I deffenly like them and are really excited to try them out on him soon.

This shears are great for cutting mine and my kids hair. They definitely save me a trip to the salon. I can cut the hair and then follow up with these shears so as to not have the straight cut look that regular scissors leave. I find them to be very handy. I have long hair and I use these at least once a month to trim my ends.

EXCELLENT for the price
-08.28.11
Quick Take: great for cutting your man's hair, not meant to be for professionals, good at "getting the job done", easy to use, extremely cost effective
I bought these to cut my husband's hair because he is Turkish and has this wonderfully thick, dense, dark but STRAIGHT hair. It drives him nuts though because even when it's fairly short it poofs out like a pourcupine and he complains about it making him too hot. My hair stylist had offered to pick up some professional thinning shears for me at wholesale price but they were going to put me out about $150. These totally get the job done, were easy to use and made everything so much quicker, easier and painless for both me and and my husband, not to mention it saves us tons of money on haircuts. They basically don't take out length, just bulk. So they layey the hair so that it's less dense but you still get to keep the length (then you can use regular shears to trim the length to where you want it). Keep in mind these are NOT supposed to be professional, I mean jeez, ladies, look at how inexpensive they are! But they totally get the job done.

MUST have these!
-07.01.11
Quick Take: useful, must have
One day I decided to cut my own hair (because the hair stylists had been doing a very poor job with me) so I went to Sephora and got myself these thinning shears... And I have to say they really helped me cut my hair in a way that it had never been cut before. Very easy to use and must have if you like to trim/cut your own hair or bangs.

Alright
-05.31.11
This is alright because it cuts/thins my hair, but the cut leaves the thinned hair a little blunt (if that makes sense). However I'll still use and with more practice, the thinned hair will look thinned.

Love these shears for cutting my toddler's hair. She wiggles a lot and you really can't make a mistake and lop off too much.
