Must Have Brush if You Use Meteorites
-03.10.13
Quick Take: natural hair, harsh bristles but that's good :)
I like this brush very very very much. I have many great brushes but none of them work with meteorites pearls and compact the way this brush does. I used to not like meteories pearls because I thought that they are too invisible, turns out that other brushes simply don't pick up enough of product. This brush is on the harsher side, but it is needed in order for meteorites to be picked up.

Cute, but not very practical
-02.26.13
Quick Take: stiff
I tried this brush in the store, and it was uber soft. I could not believe the reviews saying it is too stiff. However, when I got one it was true, the bristles are hard and stiff, and when you apply blush or highlighter with it, it takes off some of the foundation and powder. I guess it was so soft in the store, because it was washed already many times and used a lot. I did not return it, because it is too cute. Now it is sitting on my vanity as a decoration. My verdict, if you want so safe extra $, do not buy this brush. Apart from the looks, it is not very practical.

Not for everyone :(
-12.24.12
Quick Take: rough
The brush felt great on the back of my hand and it picks up a the product no problem, but it was harsh against my skin. It really depends on the person i guess. My skin was just too sensitive. I wanted to love it but I will have to return it since I can't use it :(

Nearly perfect
-12.01.12
I bought this brush specifically for use with the Meteorites. I'm a big fan of quality brushes and don't mind paying for them but the two items together were expensive enough that I held off for a VIB sale to buy them.
The brush picks up just the right amount of powder--swirl in the container, then lightly over your face. I don't find it rough at all. Yes, it's goat hair, so it is a stiffer brush, but used correctly I have no problems. Others may be more sensitive or need some time to adjust to using the brush correctly; it only requires a light hand.
The little carrying case is lovely and well made, but only useful for travel, IMO. I have quite a few brushes and store them upright on the counter. This one is so wide and stubby that I'm not willing to put it in with the others, even if it would fit. I ended up just leaving it rather inelegantly on its side on my bathroom counter (I use the powder nearly every day so I'm not going to store it in a drawer or unwrap and rewrap it every time I need it). I understand why they designed it the way they did but I would have liked the option of a longer handle. That's why I detracted a star; it won't be a concern for others.

5 stars only for the meteorites
-11.30.12
I have this in the blue Pucci one. I only got it for météorites and only use for that. Some may think it's a bit stiff but it needs to be in order to pick up what you need from the little lovely balls. It comes in a fancy case. Quality is unsurpassed as I've been using my brush for months and months daily to lose nary a hair. A must have for the météorites. Would probably apply bronzer/blush or whatever too heavily. It's like a dense hard kabuki brush.

The brush is harsh on my skin. Looks pretty but the quality is not worth the price.

get this brush if you have meteorites!
-11.08.12
Quick Take: worth the price!
I received meteorites from my sister as a birthday present this year (love my sister!). I had been using a bare minerals brush with my meteorites sinc; just hadn't taken time to buy the proper brush until recently. this brush makes all the difference. it is firm enough to properly stir the minerals and holds the mineral powder for coverage on the face. great purchase! I should have bought this months ago.

Sturdy, medium-sized, adorable brush
-10.18.12
Quick Take: natural hair, travel friendly, optimal for application of meteorites, easy to clean, no-fading color, are you kidding? it's adorable., perfect blend of form and function
I debated for a long time over whether or not to get the Meteorites and the recommended brush. It’s a daunting investment. I committed to the Meteorites finally, but was still on the fence about the brush. Obviously, I decided to get it. The following is my review based on four months of using this brush with the Meteorites.
First of all, this brush does indeed come with its own little black pouch for storage. I think that’s an excellent touch, considering this brush in particular. How many times have you fretted about the bristles when packing a full-sized brush in your make-up bag? All the time—I know. The pouch has a soft, textured exterior and a sleek, smooth interior, and it clasps with a hidden magnetic clasp. Pretty smart.
The bristles are a little stiff and a little coarse, and thank goodness! It wouldn’t pick up any powder from the Meteorites if it wasn’t. If you sweep your soft, floppy brush over the Meteorites, you’re not going to be putting any product on your face from that brush because it’s not going to pull any into the brush. As someone who uses this brush every single day, I can tell you that it certainly isn’t rough enough to deter me from using it. How much pressure are you applying to your face if you think this brush is too rough to use? I’m going to say: probably too much.
I do use Sephora’s Daily Brush Cleaner on this brush every day after I’m done because no one likes a brush festering with bacteria and excess product. I have not had any issues with the pink color of the bristles bleaching or fading out, nor have I seen a single bristle come loose or fall out. It’s pretty solidly bound together and it feels substantial in your hand, despite being pretty short.
Honestly, using this brush with my Meteorites is my favorite part of my daily make-up routine—which is admittedly short: primer, liquid foundation, Meteorites, eye liner. While it’s not absolutely necessary, I find that using this brush gives me the best finish overall because it’s designed to work perfectly with its counterpart.

Meteorite Brush
-09.28.12
Quick Take: natural hair, semi-soft bristles
Bought this along with the Meteorites 01. I think the brush works fine with the product but the whole process was drying on my face. Don't know if it was the slightly rough brush, the meteorites or my skin. I really wanted to love the meteorites. Spent six months pondering the purchase. Heading to my local Sephora to discuss this with a salesperson.

Emilio Pucci-designed GUERLAIN items. WONDERFUL
-09.08.12
Quick Take: elegant, sumptuous, very beautiful, perfect size
I feel I must have the proper Meteorites brush with the brilliant Meteorites powder. Why not? This is the first offering I have seen for a brush (I do not use the sponge.) Buy it. It is excellent, first quality, and beautiful with pink, white and silver accents. It comes in a nice velvet Guerlain-emblazoned holder, just like the Emilio Pucci-designed Meteorites do, and the Emilio Pucci-designed Guerlain eyeshadow kit (Which is over the top fabulous. Colors so rich, adhere so well, so gorgeous I just stare at them! Buy all 3! One day, these Pucci-designed mini-masterpiees will be collectible and valuable. Now they are just fabulous examples of makeup at its finest. Guerlain married to Pucci. Can you get greater LUXE?

Great Brush but a little rough
-07.27.12
Great brush and it does as it says, picks up just the right amount of powder but the brush is a little harsh on my skin. I have pretty sensitive skin so this is probably only relative to a few buyers.

A good brush
-07.14.12
I only gave this brush 3 stars because, although this brush works well, I know of other brushes on the market which are of equal quality, but cheaper.

apply the meteorites perfectly
-06.06.12
This brush is under rated i think, it applies the meteorites perfectly and the handle is comfortable. My only complaint would be that it is so rough and I have to pat the powder onto my face rather than brush it on. I think the brush needs to be rough to pick up the meteorites though since the powder is so fine.

Quick Take: soft bristles, lasts a long time
I own two Guerlain brushes. One small for my purse and another large for home. They have lasted me for years. I use the Meteorites Perles in Teint Rose 01 and love it! Guerlain is amazing.

brush!
-11.23.11
Quick Take: natural hair
this is a great brush to go w/ the meteorites. since it's goat hair, it's a bit stiffer and picks up the pigment from the pearls better than a standard brush would. a bit rough across the face, but you don't need to exfoliate just gently swipe! and it's so cute -- it's pink and has a little case!

PRETTY GOOD BRUSH ALTHOUGH NOT FOR ME
-07.19.11
Quick Take: natural hair, goat hair
I was given another Guerlain Météorites Brush. I didn't like the first one because the bristles wMeteorites Illuminating Pressed Powderere a little bit stiff and uncomfortable. I didn't keep it. The second one was pretty good at applying the Meteorites Illuminating Pressed Powder, but the powder itself didn't do much for me at the time, plus the brush is goat hair, so for ethical reasons, I gave it away. I did realize that the brush needed to be a little bit stiffer to grasp the powder from the individual meteorites in the Météorites Powder For The Face. Last month, I tried Guerlain's Météorites Powder For The Face in Rose. While the powder did little for me, I was impressed by the store Guerlain Météorites Brush which was much softer than the first two I had had. In a recent makeup trade, I ended with another Météorites Brush which seemed much better than the first one. Although I'm trading it away because of the ethical issue (I don't like using animal hair), the brush seems much improved as compared to the first one I was gifted with a couple of years ago.

Well made and cute, but not the best brush.
-05.22.11
Quick Take: natural hair, pink bristles, not very soft, cute, not very functional
This brush is well made, and the pink bristles are cute, but it is not the most functional or best brush for applying Meteorites (balls or pressed) or any powder product (loose, pressed, blush, bronzer, etc.) There are so many better brushes out there for those purposes. Giving it three stars for the fact it's well made and the fact it is Guerlain. :) Save your money, however, and get a better brush.

NOT FOR ME
-10.13.10
Quick Take: rough bristles
I gave it a five star rating because I did like the idea of the brush - it made sense to me to use it with the meteorite powder which I also liked but I am a retinol user - so when I applied the powder with the goat hair brush my face started burning-the bristles were too course for my skin-I tried it again the next day and the burning was worse-okay- end of that scenario-on to other things.
