Hanae Mori HM

To distinguish its packaging, 'Hanae Mori' is engraved in platinum on each bottle. The cap's design is inspired by the Tsuka, the piece found at the extremity of antique samurai swords. Turned me into a fragrance person

I received this as a free sample. I'm extremely picky about scents and didn't expect to like it, but it blew me away! It's bright, warm, complex, and pleasantly intense without being remotely too musky. In addition to being picky, I have never been good about remembering to wear perfume, and now I often find myself wearing it at home and sniffing my wrists periodically because it's just that good. I plan to ask for a bottle for my next birthday/Christmas.
Also, I'm female and agree with other reviewers that it's totally passable as a women's perfume. It wasn't until I looked it up on the website that I found out it was a men's scent.

Quick Take: good value
Smells amazing, but it has very little lasting power.
I ordered this as a sample with a recent purchase, so I knew neither the price nor that it's classified as a masculine scent.
My initial thought was that it smells more expensive than it really is.
This does smell sharp upon first spray, but the drydown brings out spicy, warm notes. I can pick out the lemon, lavender, and chocolate but only when I'm really digging for them. The overall impression is smooth and warm with a subtle gourmand touch. I was a little surprised by the combination of notes and I think there must be something else in here pulling everything together.
My only complaint is that I wish it lasted longer; it's so strong out of the bottle that I would feel uncomfortable reapplying this anywhere but my own home, and only then if I have twenty minutes to spare so the scent can develop.

Quick Take: good value, travel-friendly, clean fragrance
Interestingly enough I purchased Hanae Mori for women for my wife, I liked the clean smell and on a lark purchased HM for men. Needless to say I was very pleased with the results, it was a very clean masculine non overbearing scent and works year round unlike other brands which tends to be seasonal. Highly recommend this scent

My girlfriend bought this for me for doing a good deed...I had my doubts because I couldn't even say the name of it...lol...but when I put it on, it was one of THE MOST refreshing aromas I have ever put on!!!...Females noses were stuck to my sweater when I walked through the restaurant.!!!..(don't tell her though...) a MUST BUY if you like a clean, citrus smell. Two thumbs way up!!

Ce parfum est un trésor rare.
Je arroser mes orteils, les oreilles et les doigts dans Hanae Mori chaque moment de libre. Garder la bouteille de platine belle, gravé dans le compartiment côté d'un camion '99 Dodge Dakota fait le bonheur course pur.

husband has been wearing this from the fragrance sampler i got his for christmas. reminds me of the bvlgari jasmin noir that i've had my heart set on for awhile now. the smell is fantastic. very sophisticated and classy. only trouble is, i can't decide who i like it better on - me or him!

Quick Take: cool, refreshing, unique
Most reviewers seem to find this sexy. I got a sample for my boyfriend with the last order, but I wound up trying it first, because I had read in several reviews that it makes an appealing unisex scent. On first sniff I found it metallic and almost medicinal, but it warmed down to something pleasant, though not terribly exciting. I did not like it on myself. When my bf tried it I got some of the sexy vibe others picked up, but overall I still found the effect cold and not really inviting.

So I was feeling a little adventurous one evening and used a sample from my husbands try and buy box. Later when we were getting 'busy' he was like that I'd amazing - what ae you wearing. Enough said - I bought HIM the full size - just so I could steal it when ever I want :)

I bought this for my teenage Son, who had been using Prada. This is more affordable and, IMO, smells phenomenal! My Son informed me that girls are flocking around him more than ever! Now, my husband is using it(he also uses Prada)and I definitely prefer this over Prada any day! And trust me,that says alot as I am a Prada girl!!!

I got a sample of this from my mom and I thought she mistakened it for a perfume, so I still tried it and fell in love with it! This scent is ultimately sexy. If I smelled a man walking by me with this on, I'd hunt him down and him home with me.

This scent is amazing. I smelled it on a guy friend and wouldn't let him get more than a foot away from me the rest of the night. I had to put some on myself, and it was so delicious I didn't want to shower. Warm and bright and so complex, it's quite versatile, and smells amazing on anyone.
I'm incredibly happy with the bottle I bought myself. It lasts all day (and night)!
