Quick Take: moisturizing, terrific at hiding blemishes, long-lasting without powder touch-ups
I found this foundation to be VERY much full coverage. Have yet to perfect using it for a sheer finish.
I use it with the Makeup4Ever Microperfecting Primer, which creates a very nice finish. But it's too light. Yes, the color matched my jawline, but I look like a Goth-in-the-making when used all over.

Quick Take: neither moisturizing nor drying
I like this product. Good, buildable, coverage, and pretty finish. It has cut out my shine throughout the day, although it is winter so I am hoping it still performs as well in the summer. It does not make your skin look chalky. My only gripe is the consistency of the foundation. It spreads less like a liquid foundation and more like a paste. It does not, however, look cakey or thick once applied. Not a major con for an overall nice product.

Not good for oily skin- 02.05.10
I was eager to try this oil-free foundation after reading all the great reviews. Maybe it works for some people, but for my super-oily skin this foundation did not have enough coverage. It was also very hard to apply, even using the Laura Mercier oil-free primer and sponges. It streaked and was almost impossible to blend. By noon, most of the foundation was gone except in weird streaks/clumps. I returned it after only a few days.

This foundation is a little bit expensive for my tastes but it is absolutely worth it. I love the buildable coverage. I have very oily skin so the oil free is a must! The finish looks fantastic and lasts all day with a little finishing powder.

This was the first Laura Mercier product I tried. I have very senstive skin and this foundation doesn't bother it at all. Although I do find I need to exfoliate more or every dry patch on my skin shows through.
I do use less foundation that before and the colour is a perfect match. Dries very quick though. The oil-free aspect of it helps my combination skin, I don't get as many oily spots.
Expensive, but I think it's worth the money.

I've heard great things about Laura Mercier so I decided to try her out as my first liquid foundation. I absolutely love it. Though she doesn't have a very wide color range for darker skin, the coverage is great and the color match I found is fantastic. People have often told me my face looks flawless when I have it on. Because it's a liquid though, my recommendation is that you buy a matte powder for small touch-ups throughout the day especially if you have oily areas.

Perfect coverage with sponge- 01.28.10
I was leery of trying this as I'm a tinted moisturiser girl...but after the SA showed me how to apply this with the laura mercier sponge, I was sold. Girls, you need to apply this with a dewy sponge. Mist the sponge with some water (purified is better), dip it into alittle foundation and stipple the foundation on. Only in areas that need it, mind you. I tried it, and it looked so natural, my pores were almost invisible.
Once, I got lazy, and tried to apply with my fingers, it was too thick and I had to wash it off. So remember, for those who found it too thick, you can try with a sponge.
PS I have sensitive, acne-prone skin but my skin has not broken out once with this. This is great, I still would stick to tinted moisturiser for daily use but for special occasions, I would definitely use this. Try it out! One more thing, the oil free shades are slightly darker and alittle more yellowish than the regular kind so you might want to try it out before buying. I have olive, asian skin and the golden beige is perfect for me. FYI, I also use the oil free tinted moisturiser in Sand.

I have used this foundation for 2 years now and I never see myself changing. I have very oily/acne prone skin and this foundation helps to keep my face shine/break out free. Coverage is decent, but I do have to use a concealer at times. Overall, best makeup around.

I am new to this product line and was not sure if I wanted something as matte as it was described BUT I LOVE it. The shade that the color specialist helped me choose is perfect and the wear and finish of this foundation is perfect. No greasiness, no caked-on feeling - it's perfect, breathable and totally evens out my skin - without making me look made-up.
