Unlike other brands that only has two or three different shades to choose from Laura Mercier has several shades of tint. I use the lightest one available, porcelain because I have very fair skin. Its great because it doesnt clog my skin and it provides light coverage for better complexion without caking your face, much better than your average liquid foundation. And unlike powder, it doesn't "fall off" even without primer ~! It's also spf 20 instead of 15 like other brand. Definitely worth the extra few bucks. The only down side is that its not much of a moisturizer so I would still keep my regular moisturizer

Quick Take: contains SPF, lightweight
moisturizing and has a decent amount of coverage, great for every day. This is a hassle-free way to even out skin tone, really natural looking. I touch up with a little bit of powder or concealer mid-day, but otherwise I have no complaints. Of all the stuff in my make-up bag this is one constant.

Quick Take: lightweight
Very moisturizing. Def. provides great coverage for a tinted moisturizer. After a few hours your face might look more greasy than it should :-/ I have to find an alternative.
my face has never felt so soft! It went on a little heavy but made my skin feel like silk!

too expensive & oily- 11.18.09

I know I've already written a review about this but this is the first tinted moisturizer i've tried. It's expensive and the color makes my skin look a bit dull. I purchased sand...it might be too light but the other colors are too dark. I am a light-skinned filipina with yellow undertones. My skin also gets oily from this. I will have to try it with smashbox photofinish. It does give sheer coverage tho, but it's good for people who have clear smooth skin. Overall, I would not purchase this again.
Love it !! Its very light and sheer and its what I was looking for in a coverage. Nice that it has SPF 20 also. My face feels like it can breathe too. I'll be back for more!!

Love this product. Recommended by a professional makeup artist. Really love the combination of moisturizer and color. Great to apply in a hurry, though I'd use Makeup Forever for a more polished, nighttime look.
Super sheer (a little too sheer). I can go without makeup but if I'm going to take the time to put something on I'd like a little bit of coverage! This is essentially just a moisturizing sunscreen. I prefer the Sisley tinted moisturizer. It is a thicker, creamier version that stays on longer and doesn't feel as drying.
Came back next day and traded it in for the "porcelain" shade. Would never use anything else! It's great, especially for extremely dry skin! Thank you, Laura Mercier!
This is perfect if you're looking for light coverage, if you have no visible imperfections [like acne or scaring]. I have scaring, and it doesn't hide it very well at all.
However, this makes the rest of my face look pretty even, and the Porcelain color is perfect on my very fair skin.
I also like that it has SPF, but be warned with SPF if you're going to be in pictures. SPF tends to make a white glow when there's flash photography is involved.
The Tinted Moisturizer is great for lightening up a few freckles and leaving your face looking fresh and polished. I used to buy supermarket foundation, so compared to that, it doesnt make my whole face look pink, i dont break out, and its soothing for my dry skin. The sunscreen in it doesnt burn my face either.
I've been using the tinted moisturizer for a year and would recommend it for someone with a similar skin type as me :)
Love this product. I use the tinted moisturizer in porcelain. It goes on light and stays put most of the work day. Keeps my skin feeling smooth. I have not had problems with it caking.

Natural looking coverage- 11.11.09

I have extremely dry skin, so I apply Philosophy's When Hope is Not Enough cream for dry & sensitive skin under this moisturizer. I love that this product blends into my skin even over the heavy cream and it gives me SPF 20 protection all in one step. The Nude shade matches my light Asian skin perfectly.
I use the oil free in the summer for my combination skin. This type works well in winter when skin is dry. Perfect Mate finish- great coverage without looking like makeup. Smooths on quickly- love it.
This is my favorite product ever. I keep trying other ones, but this is the best.

i'm not a big fan of foundation, so i opt for tinted moisturizer more often than not. i'm especially a fan of laura mercier because the formula is lightweight but it corrects minor skin imperfections and it matches my very pale skin.
I love this light weight tinted moustrizer. It has spf 20 and does triple duty. Sun screen, moisturizer and foundation all in one. If you feel the need for more full coverage her foundation is also wonderful stuff.
