pretty perfect black pencil

Quick Take: smudgable, long wearing
I found this pencil in a magazine--it was an Editor's pick--and I can see why! It goes on so gentle and you can smudge it just enough to not look sloppy. It's a classic black to make any lip color look good. It's just easy! Perfect for a spring and summer makeup routine.

Quick Take: a godsend, doesn't run
I've long had the problem of eyeliners running below my eye for a subtle raccoon look. I decided to splurge on this after URBAN DECAY'S 24/7 failed me. This eyeliner does not budge once you put it on. The morning after I get subtle raccoon eyes, but no so much that I can't clean it up, add a little extra and wear it a second day. No more kohl for me EVER. I'm sticking with this liner.

This pencil goes on so well and looks more beautiful than most I've used. I can get a fine point right into the lash line easily. Can be smudged..or not. Will definitely be getting more Laura Mercier products!

i bought this last minute before a party b/c i left my other eyeliners at home. figured it being Laura Mercier it would be a good quality and i could risk it without looking up reviews etc. But i was a bit disappointed with it. i don't have a ton of experience with eyeliners, but this was way too smudgable and seemed to disappear for no reason.

This pencil is a great pencil and should be in every makeup bag. If u do the cat eye on.the top lid its a wonderful pencil that will not smudge or move or crease at all however i found that putting it on the bottom waterline does make it run after only a handful of hours so now i just pencil in my bottom eyelashes and smudge it with my finger to give me a smokry look. After a few hours it does end up running but because my eyes look smokey i dont mind the running of the pencil all that much. Will definitely purchase again.

I thought I could get away using cheap eyeliner - that they were all the same. But this one is soft, goes on easily, smudges well, and I love the look/color. Just wish it stayed on a bit longer.

Wonderful color and smoothness. Goes on very easily and smudgess beautifully. My only problem is it does seem to smear a little more than other eye liners I've used, so I have to be a little more careful. Overall a great product.

This is the first eye pencil that I've found that actually works!! The pencil is super soft and goes on easily. The only downside is that because it is so soft, you can easily end up using a lot of it each time. However, it's worth every penny!!

I do love Laura Mercier but she's stunned me again with this amazing product. I work loooooong hours in the OR and have greasy lids by the end of the day. But this product hangs on tight. Nothing like a thin thin thin eyeliner right at your lashline to really open up the eyes. And this lasts all day long!

Quick Take: not durable for my skin type
I actually wanted to buy the Caviar Eye Liner (but was out of stock) so I decided to try this one in Black. I was not too happy w/the color (not dark enough for me). It's smooth to put on but then it wears off. I have combination skin, so I'm not sure if that's the reason why it does not last on me.
