What it is: An eyebrow pencil with superb grip. What it does: This smooth, blendable pencil has a triangular shape that provides excellent grip for even, accurate application and definition.
I finally found an eyebrow pencil that goes on smoothly, not clumpy and is just the right color too. Not too dark or too light. I am happy with this product.

what happened to the old formula??!?! I have used the eyebrow pencil in Brunette for over a year, and it has been the only pencil that matches my skin & hair color. It was strangely a very brown-gray color, which I LOVED. However, this new brunette color is way to brown-I tried it in stores today and I was so disappointed that I didn't even get to evaluate whether the new formula lost the smooth and natural application the old one had. I only have maybe a thumb length left of the pencil in the old formula, so once that's gone, I don't know what I'll have to use.

HATE New Formula
-06.02.13
After my eyebrows started falling out, I searched for a couple years to find a pencil that was: a) the right color; b) a good texture; and c) lasted really well, especially in hot and humid climates. The Laura Mercier Eyebrow pencil (the triangle-shaped one) in Blonde was it and I have been using it for more than 5 years, BUT...
Recently, I bought one of the new pencils to replace one I finished and I HATE it. The new pencil formula is nothing like the old one - it's really tacky in texture, and waxy yet mushy at the same time. It does not go on evenly at all and leaves clumps and chunkier areas, which makes drawing on a full, even eyebrow incredibly difficult to do. Needless to say, I will DEFINITELY be returning it. Hopefully I can hunt down and stock up on the old one, but if not, I will be searching for a different brand...VERY disappointed.

New Formula - Completely different
-06.01.13
Quick Take: very waxy, much different from the original
I was really excited when my new brow pencil arrived and had a brush on one end! Then, I went to apply it... I have used Laura Mercier's triangular brow pencil in "blonde" for YEARS. I LOVED the color as it is so difficult to find a color to match my red hair, fair skin, and blonde eyebrows. I need a product that is soft enough with enough glide to fill in the blanks as well as color my super blonde eyebrows. ~~~This new pencil leaves much to be desired simply due to the new formula. It is made with a harder wax which just doesn't glide like the old formula. It leaves little "crumbs" of color. I am SO disappointed. So, I am now on a new quest (after having been a loyal client for years) for a brow pencil that does what I need it to do.

The blond color I chose is darker than I had hoped and will not work for me. Also, its texture is tar like. But, the spooly is very nice!

My go to eyebrow pencil
-05.29.13
Quick Take: natural, easy to use
I like this eyebrow pencil but it does rub off fairly easy. I purchased it twice before the new design with the brush. The longer length makes it too long to fit in my daily fresh-up bag, so I take one of my older, shorter ones. I don't see the need for a brush and preferred the previous design.

miss the old formula
-05.25.13
Quick Take: long lasting, natural, waxy
I recently purchased this pencil in warm brunette. The pencil in brunette no longer exists. I have dark brown hair and this pencil does the job but what I really hate is that it has a slight red tone. I wish it didn't have any auburn hues in it. It's also very waxy. The old pencil was a bit more dry. I miss the old one.

I really like this eyebrow pencil! It's soft so goes on easily and has an eyebrow brush at one end. The color works really well with my red hair. I would recommend this pencil even at the price!

Okay product
-05.18.13
Quick Take: not quite sure what to say about it, jury is still out.
So I bought this in the brunette and it matches my skin tone. Proble, It feels like a pencil and opposed to what I had before (anastasia) which felt like a felt-liner. It is thick an cumbersome and I don't like the way it feels on my hands or the way it applies...I have to be careful not to press hard so as not to have the "drawn on" look. Plus the brush doesn't erase that "'drawn on" look. Jury is still out, otherwise it is working fine. I'm not sure I would buy it again, even though I am a fan of the line :(

I don't understand why they have to change formula of something that was perfect. This new formula doesn't get on the brows so well and it breaks easily when sharpening. I am in the process of switching brand.

Quick Take: greasy and waxy
I have been buying Laura Mercier Eyebrow Pencil for about 6 years. I had finally found a decent color (Ash Blonde) and the texture was great. But now the formula has changed and it is not the same. It's too greasy/waxy and the new blonde colors are not right. I am terribly disappointed. Will have to look for another brand.

Perfection found
-05.13.13
Quick Take: water resistant, long lasting, natural
Finally found the perfect brow pencil. Color and consistency. This is part of the items I purchased after my VIB makeover. My #1item to find was an eyebrow pencil. Couldn't be happier. The color is really great. PLUS it stays on. I'm one of those women who constantly fusses with my bangs and always seemed to wipe off my brows. This even stayed on after an eye dr. Appt.

New formula isn't great..
-05.12.13
I've been using the Laura Mercier eyebrow pencil for a couple of years now, and always loved it. But this new formula is impossible! It's so waxy, and doesn't glide on at all. I'm very disappointed.

Love this pencil. Was suggested to me, though I have dark brown hair and almost black brows. Give a very natural look, and acts as a base for the Laura Mercier brow powder.

New formula not so great ...
-04.25.13
They recently reformulated this pencil and the new texture/consistency is very, very waxy. The color is still great, but it's terrible to apply and forget about any long lasting qualities.

Quick Take: laura mercier eyebrow pencil blonde color
I bought the Laura Mercier eyebrow pencil in Blonde color, even though I have dark brown eyebrows and hair because I read the recommendation in one review. It was right, that color is perfect for us. It gives you a very natural look on your eyebrows. Thanks again, reviews are very helpful.
