this puff is my favorite. n fact, I'll use this for all my other powders. I stopped using brushes for powders because of this puff! When I use only tinted moisturizer and have very little coverage, using this puff with the mercier powder gives it a perfect matte finish.

Soft luxurious powder puff
-05.04.13
Quick Take: dual-ended, reusable
I love using brushes but when I use Laura Mercier's Invisible Loose Setting Powder, the powder puff seems to work better for me. After I use either a tinted moisturizer or a foundation I apply the setting powder by pressing the powder puff lightly all over my face. It's fabulous.

Much better than a brush
-03.11.13
I really like using this puff for my powder more than the brush I was using. The puff is soft and applies the powder evenly.

Perfect Makeup Arsenal
-03.10.13
Quick Take: durable, versatile, unique, must-have
Bought this puff 2 YEARS AGO and it still works and looks great after a million washes. Used it with LM mineral foundation. Then I used it with LM setting powder. Then with Korres Mineral Makeup. Then Bobbi Brown's Mineral foundation, Bobbi Brown's powder, Bare Escentuals..it works with everything. Loose powder or compact, mineral or not. SPF or none etc.
It simply offers a different type of application I prefer for an even, natural looking finish. And it's extremely versatile in how much makeup you want to pick up. Even if you prefer to use brushes, this is a great tool to have handy when the devil is in the details.

Love This Puff!
-01.27.13
Quick Take: reusable
I was looking for a replacement for this exact puff at a Sephora store the other day. They had nothing even comparable to this. Imagine my surprise to find it available online. This puff works with everything! It's soft, flexible, washable and downright amazing. But after three years, yes I need a new one!

Not a fan of this powder puff. It doesn't reach into all the nooks and crannies around my chin and nose. I don't feel like it distributes the powder evenly. I'm having better luck using brushes to apply the Laura Mercier powder.

Great addition
-07.11.12
Quick Take: reusable
LM leads the way in creating a flawless face, and this puff really backs up my statement. Never brush your powder on; you're only upsetting your foundation/concealer. To use this, I sprinkle powder on the puff and then bend the puff in half so that I can distribute the powder lightly by rubbing the puff together. Then I grab the ends of the puff with my middle finger and thumb and press my forefinger between them so I've created a U shape. I then roll the powder on my face and GENTLY knock of any excess with my powder brush. I've attached a tutorial from Goss (God of makeup application DUH!) if you'd like further instructions. With basic cleaning, this will last years!

Best Puff Ever
-02.08.12
I love this puff, and I'm not ashamed to say it.
I like that it has the LM "tag" that does double-duty as a handle--slip your hand under it, and you get more control over the puff (which should be rolled across the skin for best results).
It's also washable, which is a must after a while (I hand wash it with a gentle soap periodically to get all the oil and makeup out, then I let it air dry).
It's big enough to cover a lot of territory, and it's also quite soft.
But what I LOVE is that it holds powder in the fibers, essentially turning it into a portable compact. After using it to apply powder at home, you can slip the puff in it's little plastic sleeve and stick it in your purse. When you get a little shiny, just take it out and re-dab, and there will be enough powder trapped in the fibers to last for a few shine-reducing sessions.
It's brilliant!

Does what it is supposed to do, well
-01.31.12
This puff is what takes my makeup job from good to perfection. I used to use one of the little powder puffs that came with my face powder, but this works so much better and leaves a much nicer finish. You have to use it properly though. First, you tap some loose translucent powder on the back of your hand, tap the powder puff into the powder, and tap the excess powder back on your hand/wrist so you have a thin layer on the puff. You then roll the powder onto your face, not pat or rub it. For anyone having a problem with their powder being cakey, this might help. If used correctly, this is a really nice powder puff, very luxurious, well-made, and nice to use.

Great Product! In my opinion.

Quick Take: soft bristles, machine washable
It's a good product. I like it works. I also like how you can toss this into the wash with the rest of ur clothes. At least that is what the lady at the Laura Mercier counter told me. Surprisingly enough it does last a little longer when I do that.

Good for translucent powder application
-01.19.12
Quick Take: easy to use
I bought this puff to apply my Laura Mercier translucent powder as a finish on my T-zone. The application is fast and easy. I end up with a pore-free, matte look that lasts all day. If I see that my skin is starting to get shiny, I'll reapply the powder with the puff and I'm good to go, but I usually don't have to reapply.
Size: A little smaller than the palm of my hand. Texture: Very soft upon purchase, but the application side stiffened up after washing it with Johnson's Lavendar baby shampoo. Price: Good price for the number of times it will be used.

Worse Than A Kabuki!
-01.18.12
Quick Take: spongey
I really don't care for this type of application. A woman who works at the Sephora I visited recommended it to me and said that pressing the powder into my skin would work great. But it just makes the powder look caky and builds too much onto my skin and causes my face to look much darker than my neck. Wouldn't repurchase, just put it away, never to be used again.

with Mercier's puffs. I buy them all the time. I only wish we could keep them longer because you have to throw them out after consistent use.
