This is the first time that I have purchased a lip balm that I didn't like. It had a really strange smell to it and it wasn't very moisturizing . This seems like something you could get at the drug store. Soon after I tried it on I was taking it off it felt weird and the strange smell was right under my nose!

Quick Take: hydrating
I thought a bit before buying a $20 lip balm and am glad I chose to buy. I have sensitive lips that always seem to chap up and with this, my lips are in much better condition. I have literally run down to the plastic with this, a first for me.

I started using a year ago and carry one with me all the time. I use it every morning before putting on lip color and my lips are so much smoother. I use it alone in the evening and just before bed.

It smells so good!!!! Though it is not as moisture as tubes, but it doesn't melt in your pocket nor when the heat of the car is on. Smells like candy, but not tasty. Don't try to lick it coz you would disappoint at it. One of the best emergency rescue after forgetting to put on any lip protection overnight in a dry environment.

I bought this on a whim on my way to check out bc the tester smelled so amazing... I probably should have actually tried it on my lips first because- what a let down. The moisture never seems to penetrate, it sits on the surface and feels greasy, then vanishes into thin air after 15 minutes of wear. After a few days of regular use, my lips were extra chapped and irritated, and I felt pretty desperate for my rosebud salve. Not to mention I don't even particularly like the smell anymore... Pass.

Quick Take: foul tasting, melts all over your face
I can't get past the horrible taste. It goes on and seems to melt so it gets into your mouth no matter what you do (blotting, wiping etc.) So maybe it has benefits but the taste is so soapy and medicine-y and super gross but I will never know because I can't stand the taste. Pretty color though, kinda. Yuck.

Quick Take: pros: moisturizing silky non-sticky not shiny, cons: color is very subtle
This lip balm goes on like silk and feels very moistening and softening. I don't notice much of a plumping effect, but there is a definite conditioning and protection benefit. The color is pretty subtle to begin with and the balm needs to be re-applied periodically to restore the tint and moisturizing effects.

This balm was quite goopy--reminded me more of a pot style balm as opposed to a stick--it's so goopy that the stick has melted somewhat in the tube and lost its shape; While I did find it to be quite emolient rich, it did not have any staying power--it seems to wear off quite quickly (around 15 mins after application), even when just using my lips to speak; The taste was also very unappealing, so I avoided having any traces of it on my lips when I went to drink/eat. Couldn't tell if it plumped my lips. Can't see wearing it under lip color due to it being goopy.
For this much money, it should last quite a while on the lips (upwards of an hour or so in my opinion), not have any bad taste, and the product should last more than a few weeks with daily application.
