Bring back the other brush
-05.22.13
Quick Take: soft bristles
I don't like this arched brush. I think it is a lot more difficult to use. I like the original brush. I am back to using my old original brush. Please bring back the old brush!

Awful
-04.05.13
Quick Take: flimsy
This brush is horrible, the bristles are too long and not stiff enough for precision application.

A must have
-03.18.13
This brush is excellent for applying eyeliner. I have carpal tunnel syndrome, and this brush makes eyeliner very easy to apply. The angle makes for very easy one stroke application.

Useless after one application
-02.17.13
I picked up the Smashbox jet set liner while it was on sale and knew all I had at home in the way of brushes was an angled brush, so I decided to pick this one up while I was at it. It had been awhile since I'd last used a cream liner so I wanted to be sure I had good tools to get a nice, clean line. This brush was mediocre at best the first time I used it - I only found it useful to get the liner right into my lash line to do a sort of base line, and the corners of my eyes, then I went back in with my angled brush to build up the line to the thickness I wanted. Right away I didn't see this brush being capable of creating a smooth line on it's own. I figured it wasn't a total waste of money and I could at least use it for touch-ups. Wrong. After that first use, the bristles are bent out of shape with several sticking out to the sides (I've very careful in wiping off brushes after each use and storing them to maintain their shape), and they don't hold the tapered point needed to create a fine line. Instead, the moment I bring the brush to my lid, they just fan out and I get an uneven, messy line. Now I just use my angled brush for the entire application, using the very tip to get into smaller areas. I would never buy this brush again.

Wasted my money!
-02.10.13
The trainer for Sephora salespeople in the LA area, was in the store and she told me "I just had to have this brush" to apply my new Smashbox eyeliner. Wrong! So disappointed. A thin, straight brush does the job beautifully. This brush is clumsy to use, gets too stiff, and is too thick. Since she must have known what the drawbacks were for this brush, it would have been nice if she shared those with me.

Hard, Stiff bristles, Would not purchase again
-01.07.13
I really wanted to love this brush after reading all the rave reviews on here, but I absolutely hate it. I used it with both the Buxom Lashliner and Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner, and it is the roughest liner brush I have ever felt; it actually hurt my eyelid to apply! This may be a good brush for someone who has a lot of trouble making a straight line with their eyeliner because it is so unbelievably stiff, but it makes it extremely hard to create a nice, dark & thick line on my eyelid. The bristles also became all out of whack within 5 uses. I've since stopped using this and switched back to Sephora's brand's version of this brush, with much better results.

Brush is not very stiff
-01.01.13
Loads and applies okay but I was expecting stiffer bristles so my lines would be strong.

Great brush
-12.26.12
I purchased this brush, originally, at least five years ago! It has been a great brush that I have used on a daily basis to apply my gel liner with. I would give that brush a 5 plus rating!! My recently purchased replacement brush just arrived a couple of weeks ago, so I have had time to break in the new one and give a creditable review.
Although it is not as good in quality as my older model, it's still a good angled liner brush. My only dissatisfaction being that the brush hairs do not seem as long or soft as the 'first' 'original' version. Which is disappointing. I'm not convinced that this one will last as long as its predecessor, and for the price, I'm sure I can find a better one :( This one is going to take some adjusting to get use to. So, for now, I will use it, without return, but will continue to shop around for something better.

I don't use this brush to apply eyeliner...
I use it to apply Latisse! Works wayyy better than the Latisse applicators and saves the product also. ;) I highly recommend this brush. I have tried cheaper brands in the same shape and style, but the bristles fell out or did not keep shape. Pay a little extra and invest in this brush.

BEST EYELINER BRUSH EVER!
-10.04.12
Quick Take: soft bristles, synthetic hair, best eyeliner brush, good value
I've tried the ELF one, and other shaped eyeliner brushes. This is the best! It was used in the movie Burlesque! I've used this for years and years. My eyeliner always comes out flawlessly. It makes applying cream or gel liners so easy! MUST HAVE!

the best eyeliner
-09.11.12
Quick Take: soft bristles, synthetic hair, doesn't get better than this
I own 9 different eyeliner brushes. I have tried using other brushes as a gel liner. Never found the perfect one till now. Smashbox arched eyeliner brush is the best I have ever used, and I'm completely satisfied. It can do thin fine lines on your waterline, and also create thick cat eyes. It picks up just the right amount of gel liner. I rarely say this... but THIS IS PERFECT!

Best gel eye liner brush!
-08.20.12

This is my favorite brush to use for gel eye liner! The bent angle of the brush makes it easier to get closer to the lash line.

I love this brush!!!
-07.26.12
I love wearing liquid/cream black eyeliners almost everyday but having small lids can sometimes make that a challenge with all the tugging and pulling of the eye. This brush makes it so easy to apply! It gets right close to the lash line with ease. I use this with my Smashbox gel liner. Yes it's pricey but when you take care of your brushes they will last a long time.

I don't get all the good reviews
-04.13.12
Quick Take: soft bristles
This is not going to give you a tight line, the hairs are packed to soft, splay quickly once you start using and after trying SO many high end e/l brush products I gave Studio Gear a go and was SO happy. Firm and comes to a very tight line, which is what I want, I can always go over it again to make a thicker line. This will be in your "not using anymore" drawer in six months if you can use it that long.
