Quick Take: foamy
I received a sample of this and kept it in my travel bag. After taking two trips in a row and using this morning and night while traveling, I was amazed at how my face looked. My skin tone is more even, and my acne scars are less noticeable. I did not find it drying at all, but I have combination skin and was visiting more humid areas. I am reordering in full size!

Quick Take: tingly, refreshing, tones skin, helps with discoloration
I ADORE this cleanser. Great tingly feel- I look forward to using it every day. I do agree with some of the comments about inital dryness as I experienced it as well- even with oily skin. However, my skin balanced out after only about a week of use. It definitely has helped my skin tone dramatically as well as with oil production and break-outs. I highly recommend it!

Quick Take: great for adult acne
I have started having problems with adult acne. I used to use Clinique three step religiously, but it stopped being effective when I started breaking out. This product has been excellent. Even though it does not say it is for acne, it really does work on it. And the bottle lasts a long time. I have had the same bottle since the end of December and it is now nearly April. I do recommend for anyone with oily skin with acne problems. I am glad I found it.

I had high hopes for this cleanser, I guess. I've been using it for a few weeks now and while it DOES seem to brighten my skin, it dries it out so much that I'm going to stop using it. I have NOT found it to help even out my skin tone or help with blotchiness. Instructions say if it dries out your skin to just use it once a day instead of twice a day. Well, I've been using it once every other day, and it still dries out my skin to the point that my regular moisturizers do not work to rehydrate my skin.
Also, I'm not too fond of the scent.

Good Cleanser for Oily Skin

Quick Take: gentle formula, brightening
I have oily skin and some acne scars left over from cystic breakouts. While this cleanser does have an overall brightening effect, I don't think it did anything with the scars specifically. So why do I keep using it? Because it actually keeps the oil under control. I haven't had a breakout since! It's not a miracle product, but it's working well so far.
If you have dry or normal skin, I don't think this is for daily use. It would be too harsh. But for someone like me, whose skin is practically an oil factory, it's perfect.

Quick Take: not for sensitive skin
for my skin :( I tried once a day even and my skin just got dryer and dryer and peeled and flaked. Not only that but no fading of my acne scars either grr. Too expensive to just let sit in my bathroom so I returned. Also from my experience DO NOT use with Retin-A. I'm now liking the Purity Made Simple Cleanser as well as the Caudalie Gentle Cleanser

I really like using this so far although it does dry out my skin so I only use it once a day, several days a week. I like that it has salycylic acid as I have really acne prone skin and look forward to using this more often in the spring and summer.

Quick Take: gentle formula, really works, long lasting
This is my second bottle of DDF. I had sunspots & dark patches from birthcontrol that this cleanser greatly improved. The spots didn't disappear, but are much, much lighter. It has a licorice sent, which is a liitle strange, but not bad. Also you don't have to use much, so for the price, it's a deal. Overall, great product

I like this product but I was using the glycolic wash before I purchase this and next time I will go back to glycolic wash. I really don't care for the smell. if I didn't use.the other first I would be very satified but I'm going back next time. I can't really say I have noticed any difference in my dark spots. I have had some breakout lately.

I've been using this product for a good bit of time and it's absolutely amazing! It does exactly what it proclaims and I've never been disappointed. It is a very strong product so you do have to monitor your usage of it, but that's to be expected of something you can't purchase out of a drugstore-keepin' it real!! I always notice a difference the moment I use it. Even in this post recession, if there's one product I say is worth your last $$$$ would be this!!! PLEAZE don't change the formula!!

I have extremely problematic skin, with bouts of hormonal acne that react to NOTHING I throw at it, even prescriptions from the dermatologist. I bought this DDF cleanser after they discontinued one of their other cleansers (I want to say benzoyl peroxide with scrubbing beads?), and I had low expectations.
While my skin was dull and the skin tone very uneven, I did not consider those things to be my primary skin concern. My main concern was my ongoing acne breakouts. I used this cleanser for lack of a better one out there and WOW, what a difference! My skin looks nothing short of amazing, which it hasn't looked since I was 12 years old! Now I have the most even skin tone, which I had long ago given up on ever having.
As a side benefit, my face cleared up when using this cleanser. I didn't expect it, since the cleanser (while containing glycolic and salicylic acid) didn't market itself as an acne cleanser, but it did wonders; even more so than DDF's own foaming acne cleanser!
I will say, however, that it has not been able to completely reverse the very bad dark acne spots I have on my chin. It has lightened them considerably, but not eliminated them. Now I am using this cleanser together with Clinique's Dark Spot Corrector to see how much I can get rid of. Don't let this deter you though -- it's still a miracle product in my book.
I cannot sing the praises of this cleanser enough. It really does what it says it will do, and much more on top of it. I had given up on any product doing what it says anymore, but this has restored my faith! THANK YOU, DDF!

Great cleanser, I used it last year for the first time. I wash my face at least twice each day, and one bottle lasted about nine months. I saw great results within about three weeks or so.
The only down side is that when I ran out and stopped using the cleanser for about two months, my face went back to looking dull and dry.
I was able to pick up another bottle and my skin is back to it's old self, bright and e Ben skin tone, with literally no breakouts in sight.
On lazy days, I can wash my face, apply moisturizer and mascar, and head out without a hitch. Skin looks great!

This stuff is great. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now, and my skin is brighter and clearer. I think my acne scars are slowly fading as well, since I feel I don't need to apply as much makeup to cover them up. I use it morning and night, no problems with dryness or sensitivity. My oily skin is finally under control! I don't mind the smell very much either. It smells like licorice, but you only need to use a little bit of cleanser so it isn't too bad. Very good product and well worth the money.

You know, clean and bright...
Love this cleanser. The light licorice scent is really nice and my face feels so clean. I feel like my dark spot treatment really gets a boost from this cleanser, plus the glycolic and salicylic acids help keep my acne at bay. This is not a high-foaming cleanser, so if you like a lot of foam, this isn't for you, but if you like clean, bright skin, this cleanser is amazing.

Love this product, I use it for face and body. It does brighten dull and dark areas of the body for me. I do enjoy the compliments I get since using this. I've recommend this to several friends and family. Customer Service is so important when looking for the right products.
