I love Stila Sheer Pressed Powder because it gives my skin a nice finish without looking cakey. You must put this on with either a brush or be sure to blend it in with the little face pad that comes with the compact. If applied correctly, this powder lasts long and looks great!

Absolutely love this stuff! I have super oily skin and I use this after moisturizing and putting on primer. I apply laura geller balance and brighten on top when I want a lil more finished look but it looks great alone!
I use the pad that came with it to apply it - using a brush just makes a powdery mess. I press the powder over any red areas and around my t-zone.
It has dramatically helped reduce my oily skin through out the day! I use everyday and no breakouts. I have sensitive skin and even brokeout from bare minerals. I have been using for a month and am now seeing the bottom of the pan. Will be ordering more :)
well it has an odor, not horrible tho. sponge is thin but not a problem really. other than that i love it. just wish they had this in translucent or a shade darker than medium. i went to the store and they had the tester in dark but they didnt have a product to sell to me in dark. ugh. but besides all that again, i like this powder alot.
ok this is a great product if you wear this first, then the stila sheer color tinted moisturizer with the stila illuminating finishing powder and your look is complete!! everyone commented on my new flawless face. and the illuminating powder really makes it sparkle.

Don't count on the compact sponge- 10.12.09
Quick Take: reduces shine
I know not everyone uses the compact sponges that are with the compact powder. Dont count on this one. Paper thin.
Works great as a nice sheer powder to set a liquid foundation without looking overdone. Good throughout the day as a touch-up. Easier to work with than loose powders.

Cuts the shine- 09.09.09
Quick Take: sheer coverage, reduces shine
This is a nice powder. Goes on smooth, not cakey. Gives a thin coverage to help stop the shine and set your makeup.
I started using this product when I was younger and had oily skin, and it was terrific for reducing shine. I don't really have oily skin anymore, but this is still the best powder I've ever used - it is not too heavy and gives you an even, flawless complexion.

I tried this after reading many solid reviews. But, was yet again disappointed by a product that could not reduce the shine of my oily tzone. It works great at first (though I completely agree that the applicator sponge is terrible... way too thin and flimsy) but witin an hour I was shiny again. I'll keep using it b/c it does go on nicely and I like how light and non-cakey it is. Just need to keep touching up throughout the day.
Sheer coverage --- reduces shine and makes your skin look wonderous!

As far as powder goes, this one is the best I've ever tried. It actually does what it claims to do. However, I find it to be almost a bit too drying, if that's possible.
I would rank this in my Top 5 Pressed Powders of all time. It's sheer, silky, easy to apply, makes your skin glow, and the case is pretty too! I hate powders that clump and cake when I reapply them, this is not one of those. I have combination skin and this powder keeps my skin in balance, not oily or dry, just right. It's another reason I love Stila!

This powder really does keep a handle on shine. I don't have to reapply AT ALL during the day.
I loved this powder.It was fined milled and would be my holy grail product except for one thing. The sponge is the worst. It looks and performs like a sponge from a drugstore product. The packaging and product are first class so I am baffled as to why Stila doesn't put a decent sponge in this product. For that reason I am only giving this product three stars. It would be five stars plus with a better sponge. I would purchase this product again in a heartbeat if Stila improved the sponge.
