Best lash primer ever - 04.18.09

Quick Take: volumizing, lengthening, defining

I bought this primer several years ago (by mistake) and loved it! It does not give your lashes a "latex" or "michelin" feel. It defines the lashes and gives a great base for curl and length with the application of Gurelain's Divinora mascara....too bad Sephora was out of stock when I placed my order.

Quick Take: volumizing, lengthening

looking back, i realize my review of this product was not particular helpful or extensive, so i thought i'd try to clarify why i give this mascara base/primer a five star rating. :)

i have extremely short and stubby lashes that are consistently locked in polymer (aka tube) mascaras all day long. i'm also an eye rubber (bad, i know) which results in lost eyelashes and short broken stubby ones. very sad. i've found in using some mascaras, i just don't get the length or volume i want because my eyelashes are sad little stumps and not a lot of mascaras out there come with the lengthening fibers that some do.

this primer solves my problems.

one thing i love about this product is that you can see it working. i put a couple coats onto my lashes before mascara and can see the fibers building up and lengthening and thickening. i do the other eye and let it sit for 30 seconds and sweep on the mascara. not only is it a great base for the mascara to adhere to, it keeps my lashes looking long and thick. invisible thin lashes are all of a sudden multiplied, thanks to all those little white fibers lengthening and plumping. there's no "weighing" down of my eyelashes (no matter how much i gob on) and it removes easily with my normal face cleansing routine.

in addition to the immediate payoff of this product, the longterm effects mean longer and healthier lashes due to the "conditioning" treatment this primer delivers. when i had bought it, i had sworn to start wearing it to bed to try and get my lashes to lengthen up and stop breaking, but i kept forgetting. no matter, it still works and my lashes are longer and healthier than ever.

if you are seeking a little bit of a healthy boost to add to your regular mascara routine, this primer is a pricey investment but well worth it. with instant results and longterm length and conditioning in the near distant future, this primer doesn't steer you wrong.

Guerlian's mascara primer works great. It adds a nice thickening base for your mascara to hold on to which makes lashes thicker and mascara hold better without flaking or smearing. Great product.

quick drying, lengthens and fortifies - it did everything it's supposed to! adds visible length to lashes before mascara. reduces breakage and doesn't get clumpy. i love this. it's one of my everyday beauty favorites.

This lash primer is wonderful! I am addicted to it and cannot use my mascara without it! I never thought that primers were necessary, but this product truly enhances any mascara that you will use.
