Doesn't stay on my waterline.

Quick Take: long wearing, messy, not waterproof, doesn't stay put, pretty dark teal color, smudges too easily (not in a good way)
I finally splurged on this product after months of debating. The price was a little high but I wanted to wear eyeliner on my waterline and have that sexy sultry look you see in movies and magazine spreads. II have yet to find a liner that will allow me to do that. Several other reviewers said that they couldn't wear liner on the waterline, but this worked for them so I decided go give it a shot! This is a major disappointment for me. I think that the liner itself is great and I'm sure many people don't have issues but an hour after I apply it only half of it is left and I have dark blue raccoon eyes. I so wanted this product to work but I think I just have watery eyes so the product doesn't stay put like intended. For most people I think it will work just fine but ladies with watery eyes or trouble applying eyeliner to their waterline, this isn't for you. It's NOT water proof.

I was watching YouTube tutorials about this, so I ended up buying it cause it looked amazing. It's the best eyeliner I have, and I have a lot! It's my favorite, it's fast and easy and last's all day/night!

Of all the eye liners I have used, (and I have used alot of different high end brands) this eye liner is the best I have ever used. I dont use the wand, I use a eye brush- taking the powder off the wand. The powder slides on so smoothly and at the intensity I desire (light, med or heavy) And this powder stays on, I want to purchase the black. (love the container also- very pretty)

I LOVE this stuff, it wears well, smudges well, provides an easy method to create a sophisticated look, and straight lines! The color is quite stark and this is the least messy eyeliner (looking at my fingers) that I have ever used, it is also the easiest to be removed :D

Great effect, but sensitive eyes may have issues

Quick Take: waterproof, long wearing, easy to apply
Pros: A striking effect. Standard liner disappears from my waterline but this liner actually stays and looks fabulous. I get lots of compliments whenever I wear it, and find that it's easy to apply withotu lots of fallout. For those who are squeamish about the traditional method of application, you can just as easily apply with just the tip of the applicator, without having to close your eyelid over it and sliding it through. It generally lasts all day for me, and when it does begin to fade or smudge, it does so very evenly, so I never worry about reapplying.
Cons:
Upon application, I often have lots of black string-like buildup in my eyes, which is easily removed but is a little freaky. After use, I find I get a lot of black buildup in the inner corner of my eye. I also find that repeated use close together causes me some irritation. So if you have sensitive eyes, you may want to give them a break for a day or so in between uses.

tightlining gets no esier, more beautiful or lasting than this. Takes courage to learn but after getting the hang of it it only takes seconds. BRING back the brown shade please!

I just bought this yesterday and I looooove it. I watched a few tutorials on how to apply and the guerlain rep was in the store and was so helpful in showing me how to apply. I love the sultry look it gives my eyes and it lasted all night and is even still on this morning because I had too many drinks to wash my face last night! :) I totally recommend this product and as far as I can tell its worth every penny!

I bought this after I saw it on "today's obsession" on the app. I've always had a hard time getting black liner to stay on my waterline for longer than 10 minutes. After raiding the great reviews I thought I would give it a shot. Am I glad I did! I've never gotten more compliments on my eye makeup than when I wear this! After you get the hang of it (watch a few YouTube tutorials) it takes like 10 seconds to do both eyes. It's incredible and I will be going back for the teal!

I love this product! It takes some patience and practice to get the technique down. But once you've mastered it, there's no going back. This lines the eyes (inner rims) perfectly. I always get compliments when I use this - and not about my eye makeup. It's more like people think I look extra nice but can't figure out why.

These are one of my favorite eyeliners of ALL TIME!
The ease of use, convenience, quality and longevity of the product are sensational!
Once you figure out how to apply this you will wonder how you managed without this!!
To apply you take the stylus out of the pigment and put it on your inner waterline and close your eyes and drag along the entire waterline. Voila! A perfectly tightlined eye.

I find this eyeliner will last for 2 whole days! Right after it is applied it is very dramatic on the second day it is settled right into the lash line and makes the lashes look thicker and plusher!
The price is high, but I have had mine for 3 years and have not made a visible dent in it! 3 YEARS!! I own the black brown and teal. Sephora is apparently not selling the brown anymore which is a shame.
If you can figure out how to apply this, you will not regret the purchase!

Quick Take: long wearing
This just arrived in the mail, and instantly i loved it. It comes in a tiny, jeweled case (which is silver not gold but whatever). There isn't much, but a little goes a long way. It goes on beautiful, almost as if i lined and shadowed my eyes but it takes less then a minute. This is going to be a staple, i can already tell!

Quick Take: long wearing, non-irritating for contact wearers, easy to apply, dramatic
I'm impressed. I bought this just because I thought it was kinda cool (and I'm a little old for that). I was able to find the brown at the Somerset Troy location. I haven't had too hard a time putting it on (only 3 times so far). And like other reviewers, it doesn't bother my contacts (gas permeable hard). I do the inside drag method which seems to show on the lower water line, for the upper I drag on the outside practically right down on the upper lashes (I hate it when skin shows between your lashes and liner). It makes a nice thin line and seems to stay about 12 hours or so. It is definitely a more intense look and I think black would have been too harsh on me (I'm not a spring chicken anymore) and the brown is a very dark brown. I haven't gotten wet or really physical while wearing this yet so I don't know how waterproof it is but I don't think it will get messy. I only hope I look about 1/4 as good as this nice, helpful customer of Indian/Middle Eastern descent with the most exquistely lined eyes I have ever seen! Just beautiful (no creepiness intended).
In conclusion, easy to apply, long wearing, dramatic, non-irritating eyeliner!!

I have been wanting to try this kohl out for a long time...and since I don't live anywhere NEAR a Guerlain counter, I splurged and bought it. After poking myself in the eye and liberally dusting my bathroom counter with black powder, I succeeded in kohl-ing my eyes. It was much easier to apply the second and third times. Tapping excess powder off of the stick is key. Verdict? I like it! My waterline has never been so easy to fill in and it DOES last forever. If you don't already have eye makeup remover, GET SOME because this stuff will stay with you.

the blue has nice shimmer in it, not too much.
there are fallout issues with these loose kohls but the lasting power is impressive and I buy them because they dont irritate my sensitive-contact-lens-wearing eyes.

Finally, an eyeliner I can apply on my waterline that does not cause my eyes to blur or burn. I wear contacts and MANY other eyeliners either fade, smudge, or transfer onto my contact lenses, which not only hurts but forces me to throw them away. This eye kohl is fabulous, it does take some getting used to using but because it is very black and does stay on me, and does not irritate my eyes, I love it and will always use it. It is worth the extra time and effort for me, and I just bought the blue one as well. Sephora, please carry the brun d'or as well!
