amazing product, you can tell the difference in your hair but especially in your skin. Your skin wont be as dry when you get out of the shower. I definitely recommend this product to anyone.

Not 100% sure yet...- 11.16.09
Have been using this for about a month now. Haven't really noticed a big difference in my hair condition. I have noticed my skin is a little softer and not to be gross or anything but the water used to leave a reddish orange stain on the grout after a few days (from some mineral in it) and it doesn't anymore so the filter is obviously filtering well. It was a little difficult to set up so that it wouldn't leak but my husband figured it out by turning the actual filter around rather than the silver connector thing. No change in water pressure so thats a plus. Not 100% sure it was worth the money as it is rather expensive.

needed help!- 11.13.09
Bad water was drying my hair out. After I started using this product, I noticed an immediate change. My hair has completely recovered. It used to start drying as soon as I stepped out of the shower but now it stays wet until I blow dry it. So happy with this product. I would recommend it to anyone that highlights their hair like me (even if you don't have a water problem!!).

I tried this filter , because of reading other reviews. I felt my hair and skin has been dry lately,and that I could smell the chemicals in the shower water... but since hooking up this system , my skin and hair feels so much better, and no longer smell chemical water. I feel "Refreshed" when I get out of the shower.

Quick Take: worth every penny!
I received this water filter the same day as the Ojon shampoo/conditioner. I don't know which product is doing the job or if it's the combination, but I am thrilled with my hair for the first time in years! It feels so clean and moisturized. I have curly/frizzy hair and now it's curly or if I straighten it, it stays that way and looks nice.

No more dandruff and less excema!- 10.30.09
Quick Take: amazing
I am allergic to most shampoos and they cause my head to itch and flake insatiably. My hair was also falling out by the handfulls. I found this while I was looking for something to help combat my hubby;s excema---(yes we are a mess). I thought if it worked it was well worth the 100 dollars. I have zero itching now--no matter what shampoo I use. My hair is becoming full again and is not falling out at a rapid rate. My hubby itches significantly less. I don't get woke up in the middle of the night with him shaking the whole bed scratching. I def. say try it, you can always return it if you don;t like.

Amazing Product!- 10.28.09
After living in Los Angeles for over a year, the terrible water quality here has taken a major toll on my hair. After countless hair products and leave-in conditioners it was finally recommended to me to get a filter for my shower. I have been using this product for a little over a week and the health of my hair has improved 10-fold. I would and will recommend this product to all of my friends! The only issue is that it tends to leak a bit on the top (which I am assuming is because my shower is ancient), this does not affect my love for this product though :)

Top Notch!- 10.24.09
This product is of excellent quality! I debated whether or not to get this one or the one at Whole Foods for half the cost, and I am so glad I chose this one. It is super durable, easy to install, has numerous shower settings, actually improved water pressure in the shower, and there is NO chlorine smell. I have yet to need a new filter as of October, and purchased system in July. I have seen an improvement in my hair and skin. I love this product and highly recommend it. The price is high, but it is way better quality than the cheap gadgets I have seen in stores and worth the cost.

No Words Can Describe!- 10.18.09
Quick Take: amazing
This shower filter is amazing. I am African American, with natural curly hair that requires a lot of upkeep. I had been struggling with hard water since moving from Virginia to DC in early 2008, which really conflicted with the needs of my hair type. I previously tried various shower filters from Home Depot, done plenty of treatments with high end salon products, and still had disgusting hair that lost at least 80% of it's natural curl, and dried as soon as I got out of the shower. I have been using Jonathan's Shower Purification System for over one month now, and not only is my hair AMAZING, but my skin's moisture has returned as well! I no longer have to go to get pedicures every three weeks, my feet now feel great (even without lotion)...
I am a fan of minimal hair product, so having to use tons of leave in conditioners and treatments during my 1.5 years of hard water was painful. Now that I've got this system, I am back to being pretty much product-less. I shampoo, condition, and go! My hair looks and feels conditioned all day!
Thanks to everyone's reviews, I was able to make a great decision, and I highly recommend this to anyone who struggles with hair and skin damage due to hard water.

its kinda early to really see if theres been a differnce in our hair, but my mother and I both noticed our water doesnt have a metallic taste or smell to it, so at least thats some kind of improvement! we both have color treated hair, so give us some time to see if it does actually help.

This filter saved my hair! I moved from Chicago to Florida and the water ruined my hair. My curls straightened out and my hair started breaking off. After only two weeks my curl started coming back and my hair stopped falling out. I dont know what I would have done without it!

Simply Fantastic- 09.29.09
Quick Take: makes my hair more managable, clears up minor blemishes, helps to decrease itchy skin, makes you feel so much more invigorated
I have been suffering from itchy skin for the past couple of months, and after changing my laundry detergent, softener, and soap, I still had itchy skin. After reading other reviews about this water system, I felt that I had nothing to lose. So, after finally removing our old shower head (it was pretty stuck on there), I was able to install the new one, which was super easy to do so. At first, I was a little freaked out because tons of black water began to spray all over my shower (which is expected according to the package insert), but after about 10-15 seconds, that water began to run clear. As soon as the water cleared up, I immediately stepped in the shower, and I could feel a difference with the first couple of drops that touched my skin. I really don't know how I can describe what I felt, but I suppose I could say that the water felt so much softer and cleaner. I no longer felt the hard grit on my skin as I had in the past. After a few days, I could tell that my skin had been cleared of some minor blemishes, my hair was much, much more managable, and...I WAS SO MUCH LESS ITCHY!!!! I love the water system, and I am so glad that I invested in the product. Trust me, if you purchase this product, you will be able to tell a difference with even just your hair. I love it!

I've had the Jonathan for about a month now, and I am not sure if I can tell a difference in the quality of the water. However, as a shower head alone the pressure is great, and the different settings are wonderful.

I have struggled with my hair for 11 long years. I live in a part of Texas where our water can barely even be considered water. It basically makes your hair and skin feel like you're drenching yourself in pure chlorine. I have tried a ton of really high end hair products to no avail.
I'm using low end salon products now combined with this system. My hair feels almost as nice as it does when I venture back home where my family has nice soft water.

Banish Hard Water Hair!- 09.18.09
Great system for eliminating icky-barbed-wire-like hair! I have color-treated hair of medium-long length. I easily installed the filter and showerhead. The showerhead provides a steady, smooth stream of filtered water. Well worth the cost -- I have lived the bulk of my life in remote rural areas with well water or chemically-treated co-op water. I've been wanting to buy this system for over a year now. I installed it as soon as the UPS guy drove off. The filter's kind of long & bulky but if it continues to work like this...who cares? My hair is smoother and doesn't immediately dry out after a shower like it used to. I love it! Thank you!

Lifesaver for my hair- 09.10.09
Quick Take: outstanding, great investment
I moved to Vallejo from Alameda three months ago. The water where I live now is very very hard and every time I washed my hair it felt like sand paper, it was so dry and so hard to manage. I was also loosing a lot more hair than before dur to the dryness. I saw this product in Sephora and I didn't hesitate to purchase it because my hair was in big trouble I was afraid I would go bald. It installed pretty easily but I didn't use the shower head that came with it because I liked the one I have that has the hand held flexible hose. Wow, what a difference!! Now my hair is soft after washing and so easily managed and styled. I feel more confident as a result and I no longer worry about going bald. I love my hair again. Thank you for the staff who also highly recommended it. I only wish it was not so expensive. I hope the filter lasts a long time.
