Quick Take: useless, overpriced, mediocre
I really don't like this cleanser at all. It barely removes makeup and does nothing significant for acne or aging. Definitely not worth $20. One of Clinique's worst products. You can find a variety of products in your local drugstores that can do the same job for a fraction of a price. They might even do it better.

Quick Take: effective
I've been using this product for a couple of months now, and I think it's great! I've read a couple of reviews for it and wanted to address a couple of negative things I saw. First of all, this is a makeup remover--that's it. It doesn't treat acne or anything like that. I have acne prone skin and use Clinique's acne solutions line. Using salicylic acid on your eyes is a terrible idea, so I use this product to remove my eye makeup BEFORE I use the foaming acne cleanser. If you read the instructions, the tube actually says to use your three step system after this. Contrary to some of the reviews I've read, this product foams quite nicely (I use a nickel-sized amount) and does a great job of getting all of my makeup off. Finally, this stuff doesn't smell nice, but it's not really supposed to. Clinique's products are fragrance free, so they're going to smell like their ingredients and may not necessarily smell great. They are, however, highly effective.
Hopefully you'll find this review helpful. If you're on the fence about buying this product, I'd recommend giving it a try.

Quick Take: greasy, doesn't remove make up
I use the Clinique 3 step system for oily/combo skin and thought that this would be a great make up remover to use before I cleansed my skin. I was disappointed because this left my skin feeling greasy, no make up was removed, and didn't even foam at all. I prefer Clinique's pink foaming make up remover to this. I have never returned anything to Sephora but after giving this a few days and still not liking it, I am definitely sending it back.

I was really looking forward to using this product but was disappointed in what it did/didn't do. It left what felt like a film behind and didn't appear to remove my make up as the description states that it does. The pink Clinique Foam cleanser does a much better job. I have never returned anything at Sephora but this is definitely going back.

Clinique breaks me out

This is a gel cleanser, and I have very dry skin. I rarely break out unless I use makeup and do not remove it before bed, or wash my face with soaps or some cleansers. This particular cleanser broke me out, even though I have really dry skin. I didn't like the way it felt on my skin during washing either. It doesn't foam up either. I think maybe I'd prefer a cream cleanser instead. And something other than Clinique, because their moisturizing lotion for face also broke me out. Luckily it isn't expensive, so if you try it and find out its not for you, then not much $ lost. I personally cannot use this product. As for removing makeup, I do feel it gets the makeup off, but I still feel a slight film feeling left over after completely rinsing my face.

Quick Take: doesn't cleanse, breaks out skin
I first bought this product when the lady at the Clinique counter suggested it and paired it with the exfoliating scrub. I have acne prone sensitive skin that gets a bit oily as well. At first it had my skin feeling a bit too clean and then broke it out horribly. I figured it was just purging my pores as some cleansers do so I started using it once a day with no improvement. Definitely not planning to purchase either this or the exfoliating scrub again.

This is a great multi-cleanser. It gets all my make-up off with out over drying the skin. You do have to use a dime size to get all the make-up, but it is the perfect cleanser for anyone that has oily or combo skin. My go to cleanser!

I love this product. My skin is not oily or dry, but in between. I love it! It is a great first cleanser at a great price. It refreshes your skin. It is awesome. My nose is a little oily though, but it soaks it right up. Awesome Product. I highly recommend it for a first cleaner.

I wasnt really sure where to start as far as cleansers go so I was given a sample of this Clinique product to try out. I think it did a fair enough, "regular" job as far as the usual cleanser I would get from another store. I typically got what was on sale. I would say that if you're looking for something about the same or even slightly better I would go ahead and choose this product.
Personally I would probably wait til it went on sale, or if using off and on with your usual cleanser to get more use out of it.

Great cleanser for extra clinging make up

This cleanser removes my heavy make up very well. Especially if i use my exfoliating silicon pad and squeeze a pea sized amount. It lathers to a very foamy consistency and clean the whole face full of make up. But i need to use it twice or three times to completely remove my make up. It's not drying and leaves a silky residue usually i use the Clinique Rinse off facial cleanser to get a squeeky clean feeling after i use this gel cleanser. I gave it 4 stars because there's one minor problem, the smell is a little bit awful but i can stand it because it washes away.

Quick Take: easily removes makeup
I've been using this for at least a year now and I love it. It feels really nice on my skin and it does a great job taking off makeup. The only thing I wish it did was remove waterproof mascara--I may be using too little. That being said, it does last for a long time. Overall, I will continue using this cleanser to remove my makeup!

I have very oily skin and break out often. I have been using this for about a month now and have not had any breakouts. It truly dissolves makeup very well and whatever formula is used to help reduce acne, it works.
I would definitely purchase this product again. Keep in mind that it's not pretty-smelling (very bland smelling) and you need quite a bit of water to get it foamy and lathery, but if you are looking for a good cleanser to remove makeup and reduce shine, then this is it.

I have oily skin and this has helped. I still continue to have oily skin from time to time and i have gotten pimples since using, but I think both have been reduced. It is mild and does not smell to strong or dry my skin out at all.
