Fantastic color. Spreads on smoothly...I used a concealer brush.

When you apply matte eyeshadow above, the sparkle goes away and your left with a silly realistic finish.

I've used this for years. It's always perfect alone or as base for something else. Provides staying power. Uplighting is perfect for my gray eyes. Very natural looking.

I wanted a brow highlighter and find myself wearing this on its own as a daytime eye shadow - night-time, it's a great highlighter. I'm pretty low-maintenance and this is all the shadow I need for the day to get that minimalist look. It doesn't age me, or crease, and blends beautifully with finger-tip.
I also get bad allergic reactions that puff up my eyes - I can wear this without having a reaction and it helps me look presentable when my eyes are especially puffy. It's become my go-to eye color.

This is, hands down, the best eye shadow base I've tried. I've used it for 10 years now (scary, OMG)! It is a thick cream (not too thick) that you put on your eye lids before applying liner or shadow. There are several colors so you don't necessarily have to apply shadow over it; some can be rocked all by themselves! :) I love the texture, it lasts all day, no fading, creasing, smearing, sweating, NOTHING. It's perfect. This is the way to go. The ONLY thing I don't like about this product is that it will dry out if not closed all the way. Make sure you snap it shut when done. Also, before buying, you should be the type that uses it every day. If you only use make up every once in a while or once a week, this stuff will dry up over time, making it totally useless for the random-make-up-applier. If you won't be using it that often, I'd opt for a primer in a tube which Clinique doesn't sell. But, if you are faithful in applying make-up often and want the best, choose THIS ONE! I promise.

This cream eyeshadow is useful to me on days when I have no time for anythings else, but, I much prefer a look using Urban Decay's primer potion for eyes and one or two matte shadows for day, and building on that for night. Clinique touch base for eyes does not conceal crepiness or sagging issues as well as a primer with matte shadow, for me, but then again it never promises to. A good product but I won't purchase again because I have other products that give me a better result.

This is my first cream eye shadow purchase. I have oily skin, and was worried that it would crease or move around on me. None of that happened. It stayed where I put it and never creased. Very creamy and great for blending.

Touch base is a perfect foundation for eye make-up. It is creamy, but not oily and does not "wrinkle" in the creases. I like Canvas color the best (the other colors dry out).

I love this product! I worked makeup counters for two years so have tried most everything. This base saved the day! My niece really wanted to use her NYC brand eyeshadow but couldn't get it to stay. I primed her with this and her eyeshadow finally worked. Stays all day and plays all night.

I love all these shadows but this a beautiful neutral color. It goes on so easily and is easier on your eyes if they are sensitive. It looks great alone or under any powder shadow. It always lasts for hours without fading, especially with a powder over it. My favorite color is nude rose, but it is hard to find.

I LOVE this stuff. I use it instead of eye shadow most of the time. Occasionally under powder shadows, but it is such a lovely, neutral color with the slightest day-appropriate shimmer. Rarely gets icky in the crease of your eyelid unless you over apply...a little goes a long way. Will last several months with every day, once-a-day use, but will begin to dry out beyond that.

This tiny compact is really cute and great for travel but will only last you so long. I hardly use it because it is my emergency one that goes in my makeup bag in my purse, so i expected it to be in pretty much good shape. But it has seriously dried out and I haven't had it that long. But, when it was first purchased, it was a good primer even though it creased a bit. I have to throw it out now....

I began using touch base about 10 yrs ago when a Clinique sales woman pointed out my dark upper eye lids. Although it was tough to hear, I was glad when she offered me this to use on a daily basis rather than constantly wearing eye shadow every time I left the house. At the time, in my early 20's and still in college, this product was amazing! I wore it for a few years, but always had trouble with it getting clumped in the crease. After a while I moved on and didn't purchase it again until recently and boy am I glad I did! I bought the same color, buff lighting, and apply my urban decay eye shadow primer first and it's eliminated the crease problem. I'm a nurse on a busy unit and have struggled for a while with trying to get shadow to stay put while I sweat through my shifts. The touch base stays put and is such a pretty neutral. Even if I'm not feeling good, at least I know it's not showing on my face!

I used to use this years ago and quit for some reason, not sure why, if you use too much it can look a little dry, but I've been having an awful time with my eyelids lately being ultra-sensitive and reacting to eye makeup so before I swore off shadow and liner altogether I thought I'd go back to this primer again and I'm soooooo glad I did! I can still wear all my eye makeup again and no more reactions! so be careful what shadow primer you use ladies and if you're sensitive at all use this one! I'll never be without it again :)

I usually donot buy Clinique but I was looking for a soft beige natural for my eyes. It does have a nice casing for the product, perfect for the make up too but the eyeshadow is a creme frost not good for my age. Blend it very well for it does not look like a heavy cream on the eye lids. Will use it until I find something else in soft matte.

I tried this product several years ago after a cosmetic counter sales person talked it up. I was very pleased with it and make sure I am never out of a supply of it. I saw a few other reviews, and yes, it probably could stand in for an eye shadow, but I rely on it to keep my powder eye shadows in place all day and into the night. I have all sorts of eye shadows, and whatever their claims, they all start to wear off at some time during the day. With this product, everything stays in place until you take it off. It was just what needed!

hAVE BEEN USING THIS PRODUCT SINCE IT FIRST CAME OUT. IT'S GREAT WHEN YOU'RE IN A HURRY & DONT HAVE TIME TO APPLY SHADOWS. tRULY CAN BE WORN ALONE, AS IS TRUE TO ITS WORD, NO CREASING & REAL LASTING POWER.
