Isn't this just a toner? I guess I need to read the fine print 'cause when I read the name "scruffing lotion" I was thinking it would exfoliate to remove the dead flakes and the word "lotion" makes it sound thicker than a clear liquid. It's just a clear liquid that resembles a toner so I returned it. That's what I get for not trying it in the store first.

I got this for my fiance as part of his birthday gift. He uses it just before he shaves. He says it really makes a huge difference. He says it helps open up pores and it is good as an aftershave. He says he also uses it on a cotton swab to clean his oily T zone area and forehead. It has a refreshing alcohol tingle to it and should be paired with a good moisturizer. It is also extremely budget friendly.

all i know is, whenever i get to using it again, the results are incontrovertible... i love how much cleaner my skin feels after using this product; a bottle lasts about 2 months for me.

Clinique's Scruffing Lotion stands out among the bewildering array of scrubbers/acne meds/rinses, etc. It works better, lasts longer and leaves a fresh feeling not obtainable with other products. Check out the ingredients list. It's different and better.

I purchased this and the other men's clinique products for my teenage son. He loves it and I can see the improvement to his skin. For a teenage boy, he had great skin, but he hated breakouts of any kind. It works!

I bought this item as my bf's b-day present.
His skin type was oiley, so he didn't wanna put anything on his skin after cleansing.
I bought this with Clinique Oil Control Hydrator, and now he always put these tonner and lotion after washing his face. He said he LOVES his b-day presents! :D

this toner (they call it scruffing lotion, but it's toner) is great. it does burn a little when you put it on, but I think that's just the ingredients totally killing your acne. I have literally had almost no breakouts since I started using it. plus, it's great for shaving because it reduces ingrown hairs and razor burn! all guys should have this stuff

Great toner but too harsh for my skin

I was looking for an inexpensive, yet effective toner so this is what was recommended...it's a great product and I'm sure it works wonders -- but it's just a bit too harsh for my skin. My face was irritated / red the whole week I used it and finally had to switch to something with a lower alcohol content.
If I didn't have such sensitive skin, I'd give this 5 stars!

My husband has been using this lotion for 2-3 years now- when he runs out he has tried others in between but he always ends up buying this again as nothing beats it. It feels light on the skin and works well at the same time- it is especially great in controlling oil and trouble spots.
Works well to control oil year round.

I have been using Clinique Scruffing Lotion for over five years and it worked wonders for me. I have very oily skin and using the product has helped that problem. I have tried other products and have been extremely disappointed. I will always stick with Clinique products for men.
