Quick Take: too dry!
I really like the new chubby lipsticks and eyeshadows Clinique now offers - but this quick lip liner was the worst. I can’t use it because it is so dry. I would not recommend it for anyone with dry lips - OR - even normal lips. It really isn’t useable on either.

Quick Take: not worth the try
Too dry - hard to even apply it, and it's too thin....will return it. The old formula that Clinique used to use for their pencils was fantastic - they should not have changed the formula. Lost me as a customer for this item.

Great lipliner product

Quick Take: smooth, great under lipstick or alone.
I have used this Quickliner for Lips for at least 8 years, and I love it. I probably purchase one of these every 2-3 months. It goes on much smoother than lip pencil, and there are no wood splinters that can iritate your lips. The LipBlush color is my favorite as it looks so natural.

Lipblush is Great Neutral Lipliner Shade

When scanning reviews, I noted that reviews for all the different shades are listed together and it is hard to tell what color people are referring to if they don't specifically state it in their review. I thought it may be helpful to review a color that I love for its neutral versatility.
I love this terrific lipliner in the Lipblush color, although I have used other colors, as well. I would categorize Lipblush as a medium "nude" shade that gives just enough definition to my lips without being overly dark. It is a rather neutral pink that has just the slightest touch of a brownish undertone. Very natural. It is a color I can use with the vast majority of my different lipcolors and glosses ranging from slightly warm pinks and rose tones to light plum or mauve colors. You could probably use this shade for all but truly red, orange or purplely plum colors. It is the go-to liner I grab all the time.
I really like that it applies smoothly. I usually apply it on bare lips before lipcolor and like that you can easily smudge the edges a bit when freshly applied, or even use it over the entire lip area as a lip base. It works well to keep my lipcolor in place all day. No feathering. I also love that you do not have to sharpen this lip liner. Overall, very pleased with this product and will continue to use as I haven't found anything I like better, even at a higher price.

Love the pencil, wish more companies made automatic lipliners. But the color was a bust (hence, Baby BLUFF instead of Baby Buff). it's brown - nobody has brown lips - ESPECIALLY babies!

Great nude shade!

As someone with fair skin, I've found it very difficult to find a good lip liner that doesn't make me look like a clown! Most are way too dark, too pink, too red. The 'Bamboo' shade is an excellent nude color - meaning it gives your lips some natural definition and stays on pretty well too.

I've used this (and primarily ONLY this) for over 10 years. It blends well with berry, nudes and everything in between. It's extremely smooth to apply.

My mother has been using this for years. I always buy it from her. I love Clinique products, including their lipliners. As far as the color, I would describe it as a mauve-ish color. The color stays for several hours.

Applies beautifully, perfect color-Lip Blush. Finishes off an application of long lasting lipstick. Just twist when you need more. Lasts long on the lips. Helps perfect dry or wrinkled edges of lips into a smooth finish.

I don't know if the liner I got had been at the store for a while or if it was just me. It was very dry and hard in the tube and I really had to apply a lot of pressure to get any of it on my lips.
When I did, it was very drying. Additionally,the clerk recommended the wrong color but that could happen to anyone.
Overall, a great disappointment. I'm going to retrun it and I've been looking online for a new one to order. Lip liners are usually hard to buy on line so it's nice to have all the reviews to read. Thank you all!
Oh and the other thing is that the lip liner will only go up so far and that's it. I know there has to be more in there but I don't know how I'd get it out.

I'm using this liner in Buff as a base - not to prevent feathering, just to help my lipstick stay longer - and it does! It goes on easily and smoothly and not drying at all. Wish the price was lower..

I have used lipliners from all of the high end and drug store brands; and in my humble opinion, this brand is the best. If you're at that point where you have feathering and lip lines, this product is perfect, because you have NO bleeding after first using the lipliner and then lipstain and/or lipstick. I can apply at 6am and even after eating breakfast there is still lipliner visible late morning!
