Quick Take: nourishing, balancing
I really love this foundation! It goes on very silky and creamy. The color blends perfect. I have a shiny t-zone area and I definitely think this stuff helps without having to layer powder on. It doesn't look cakey either.
It is a pretty good foundation. It feels good on the skin and it is light and buildable with a medium coverage. Although it says that it controls the oil where needed I always get shiny skin after 2 hours even when if I wear matter loose-powder.
I have tried many foundations and like this one because it's not greasy and covers well. It doesn't feel heavy either, as has been my experience with other cream foundations.
I love Clinique products as a rule. This product is lovely, creamy, but difficult to select the appropriate color. I ordered 2 tones to match my skin. After trying the foundation, it was a little too dry and ended up looking slightly cakey, feeling somewhat tight even after applying moisturizer. I'll have to stick with mousse foundation. One plus - although I have sensitive skin, it never caused a breakout on my skin which is always a major factor for me.
I would LOVE this product IF it came in the correct color. I have very light skin and even the lightest shade was too dark. But, if you can find the right shade, it has a good application, it blends well into your skin, you dont even notice you're wearing anything, but it makes your skin look flawless. Areas of my face are oily, and it never looked oily or cakey.
Excellent foundation. This foundation is a great cream to powder formula with buildable coverage. It dries to a very nice soft finish, and does not cake and get stuck in fine lines and pores. I have sensitive combination skin and it does not irritate my skin at all. Earth friendly as the compact is reusable, and the compact is conveniet to carry in the purse for quick touch ups. I'm forever in love with make up forever foundation, however always keep this one in my purse for a quick touch up!!!!!
This is a really great product. Unfortunately, it became a little too dry on my skin. It is a cream-to-power type product. Very smooth and creamy application, with a flawless look, but once it "sets" became a little too drying for me. Had to return it, but kudos to Clinique for a great makeup. Would work best for complexions which tend to be slightly more oily than mine. My cheeks and forehead were a little tight in a couple of hours, even though I use moisturizer generously.
I love the cream-to-powder formula of Clinique's Superbalanced Compact Makeup. I have very oily skin and this makeup holds up very well on my oily skin. What I mean by holds up well, is that it doesn't really absorb the oil, but when I use oil blotting papers this foundation stays put and doesn't come off with the paper or just melt away into my skin like a lot of foundations do. This is also great for me because it has buildable coverage so I can get the coverage I need without it looking cakey or thick. This is a very good, very convenient, easy-to-use foundation.
I previously used the City Base foundation, however this is a great improvement from Clinique's line. Where City Base is dry and prone to cake if re-applied throughout the day, this is moisturizing, light (but covers well), can be reapplied without a problem, and controls shine. I have very fair skin and I use the alabaster.
Generally service was very responsive. First, i received only 1 instead of the 2 products i ordered. But when i called customer service, they immediately sent me the second product-no questions asked!
Great coverage, lots of color choices, oil free, looks natural! I've tried others, but I always come back to Superbalanced. Also, most products cause my skin to break out, but this foundation does not!
This is the best foundation I have ever used, bar none. Every time I use it I get complements on my skin and they want to know what I use and where to get it. It stays on all day without touch-ups, unlike the Superbalanced liquid. I never use a powder, it has a beautiful finish. The coverage is easy to vary, you can make it very sheer but using just a bit, or get full coverage that blends wonderfully and looks flawless. It stays nice and creamy on, doesn't dry you out. I even like the compact the refills snap into to just throw in your purse or suitcase.
