Great Toner for my Oily Skin!

Quick Take: acne treating, good for oil control
This is an awesome toner that has helped me a lot with my super oily skin! I have also noticed that since i started using it a long while back i have had less severe breakouts. The only con i have to state about this product is that when applied to freshly cleansed skin it can sometimes have a slight burning sensation (for me on the sides of my nose) which only hurts for a few seconds then it dissappears. My skin still gets oily by the end of the day but with this it kind of prolongs that by a few hours so its a good product for me!

Quick Take: non-drying, refreshing, acne treating
I've been using the Clinique system for about a year now to combat my oily skin. I use the #4 face wash and Dramatically Different moisturizer with this toner. As long as I use the entire system two times a day, it will keep breakouts at bay. This won't cure your oil problem, but it will definitely help. I recommend using a primer and foundation for oily skin to ensure an all day matte look. I use the Hourglass Primer and Tarte's Amazonian Clay foundation. Using all of these products daily has diminished my oil problem (although If I skip a day on any of it, the problem is back!) Another thing I love is that the Clinique system doesn't dry out my skin as most acne treatments do.

Quick Take: clean, strong, non-stinging
I am really happy with this product. I can tell that it is really working to help exfoliate and clean my skin by the residue on my cotton ball. At the same time it does not sting or overly dry my skin like I have experienced with other products.

Like most oily skin gals I have been searching for a product that will combat my oil problem. So far, I have been using Clinique's clarifying lotion 4 and acne cleanser for two months. While I have noticed it does not purposefully break out my skin, or create a drying problem, it is not very long lasting. Typically, my skin will look fine for about 4-5 hours, then it will go back to grease city. Overall, Clinique's system works for a short time period, but I'm going to keep searching.

I have extremely oily skin! Just a couple hours after applying makeup my skin would be glistening (even in the dead of winter)! I was skeptical to see if this product would actually do anything because nothing has worked for me before. . . but it does! It dries my face right up so I don't have that gross shine after just a couple hours. I can now go basically the full day without having to blot my face which is truly amazing. Love this stuff!

I recently started using this toner and it works great! It was a bit harsh in the beginning but after about a month's time, I was able to see the difference in my skin ( I have very oily skin!). I do not have to use it every day now and I am happy that I can put my makeup on and experience little to no shine throughout the day. I started using it day, twice a day, and now I use in the am, about every other day. I did this when I saw that my skin was becoming a little too dry.

It works quite well. My super oily skin did not feel like a grease pool when I woke up in the morning, but it wasn't dried out and flakey either. Good stuff!
As for the smell...it smells like every other toner - kind of alcoholy-astringenty...that's just the nature of the product. I don't know of any that don't smell like that. Don't sniff the bottle and you should be fine.... :-)

Well i was looking for a good toner and of course i had to check out clinique. Once i tried it it burned a little on my skin but it works beautifully, just be careful with the burning part overal its a good toner

I used to use Sephora toner since it's cheaper and does a decent job, but since they discontinued it, i had to go search for a good toner for my oily skin. I came across this product and decided to give it a try since Clinique is well known for its 3-steps skincare system. I had been using for 2 months now, it is amazing! I usually get breakout easily but since the day i started using this, i see noticeable improvement on my skin tone! I have much MUCH less acne, smaller pores, & less discoloration from acne scars. I will repurchase it again. Don't hesitate to try it! :)

I like this product. I first used it years ago, when i was 14 and started to break out badly with acne. I'm 25 now, and I recently started using it again to help me combat some more recent issues with acne I've been having. I like that the formula hasn't changed much in the 11 years since i've used it, and I like that it seems to be helping me. I only use it in the morning, since I'm worried it may dry out my skin too much if I use it at night. I think this is good for people still having those issues with acne

Upon using other toners in the past, I'd say this is the best I have used so far. I recently switched from the Clarifying Lotion 3 to 4. When using the one for combination/oily (aka #3) I still felt slightly oily. This one is perfect and non-drying. It also helps cleans the lingering makeup/dirty that wasn't thoroughly removed when washing my face.

I recently started using clinique make-up, and it helped with my acne prone skin. I decided to pick this up because the hot summer days were making my skin look like an oil well! I have mixed reviews about this toner.At first I started using it at night before my night time moisturizer but I would wake up in the morning extremely oily so I then started using it in the morning as well but it then my skin started drying and flaking..I cut back to just using it in the morning and it helped with my make up application which was nice but I will still get very oily through out the day so as a toner its good you can see all the gross stuff on your cotton ball..but my skin is still oily.
oh and the smell is very strong not pleasant so hold your breath while applying!

I have had this toner for about two months now, and I have changed my skin care a little since then but I have kept the same toner, the Clinique 4, and I would only notice difference when I changed the other things like a cleanser or moisturizer. It doesn't do anything for me. I will use it up, but I will not repurchase. please don't waste your money.

Quick Take: strong smelling, works great, feels good, hard to breathe
I really like this product, it's gentle on my skin and makes me feel like my face is really clean afterwards. I only gave 3 stars b/c the smell of the product is VERY STRONG, sometimes it's kinda hard to breathe b/c the scent is just so over powering. If it weren't for that I wold give 5 stars, but being able to breathe and having something odorless are kinda a deal for me :)

I use this every morning and night. You can actually see the stuff that is still left on your face after you wash it and then use this product. Has cleared my skin up tremoundsly and controls oil and does not dry your skin out either
