Quick Take: irritating, not for sensitive skin
It worked really well for about 2 days and then my skin started turning bright red and my dry skin got worse. It had a way higher alcohol content than I realized

I LOVE this product. I not only use it on my face but neck. It's shocking how much dirt it removes! It really deep cleans. I don't use it daily, but about 3 times a week. If I have breakouts, I will use this daily until the breakout is gone.

This is probably one of the best toners I've ever used. It kind of stung at first because of my dry skin near the corners of my mouth but after a week or so, it didn't sting anymore. It really clears up my face and picks up whatever is left from my cleanser too. Only thing that threw me off a little was the strong alcohol smell but my moisturizer covers that right up.

I have been using this for 20 years and love it. If it stings it is because your skin is too dry. Use lukewarm water, not hot water, and a more moisturizing cream and it will not sting.

The clarifying lotion really clears up the skin and removes any stubborn dirt/oils/makeup. It doesn't dry my face out like a lot of astringents tend to do. It's very useful for keeping my skin clear, especially in the summer.

It just really burned my face. I don't know WHAT is in it that makes it burn so badly. But otherwise, it is a good product and it does what it's supposed to do.. Just not the product for me.

MUST HAVE THIS!- 03.01.10

I have tried an unbelievable number of skincare products, but no matter what I try I HAVE to have this product. It's perfect for insane combination skin like mine: it sops up the oil where it's oily, but deflakes where my skin is dry. It's also excellent, if you wear foundation, at getting the last traces of makeup that a cleanser can leave behind. It feels (and smells) more alcoholic and stripping when you use it than it actually is, so don't be deceived, it's suprisingly gentle! I'm able to use it year round as well, which is impressive considering how dry my skin gets in the winter and how oily it is in the summer. And I've strayed from this product in the past, but honestly, I can truly tell a difference in my skin when I do... in a bad way. When I don't use it my skin gets dull and flaky and completely loses its balance. If you are like me and fight a constant battle to balance out skin that's oily, acne prone, dry, and sensitive all at once, at least give this a try!

I originally bought #3, but it was just too drying, so I returned it and exchanged it with this one. It is a perfect fit for me. It doesn't dry my face out, and my face feels unbelievably fresh and clean after I use it. I love this product, and the price. This size lasts forever!

Not a lot of love, but no hate- 02.25.10
Quick Take: harsher than i thought
I bought this as part of the three piece set. It's not bad, but it doesn't so much "remove" the dead skin as it does "highlight it and leave it on your face for all the world to see". On me, it leaves my skin obviously flakey despite using the rest of the mild system. I am guessing it will be better during the summer. Living in the northeast the winter may just be too harsh on my skin to get a good read.
