This powder does exactly what it says it will do! You will be pleasantly surprised by this powder if you suffer from acne and/or oily skin. I tried many others, including other powders by clinique, and this is by far the most impressive.
I love carrying around this compact. It just makes me feel like an old-time Hollywood actress who gets to powder her nose! Haha!
It's a great compact that does exactly what it says. It controls oil and is a sheer but buildable formula that provides a little extra coverage that blends in beautifully. I have medium golden beige skin and I use the beige shade. I use it over tinted moisturizer (Smashbox) and concealer (Make Up For Ever) and my face looks super natural and beautiful. My girl friends can't tell I have any makeup on.

Great for the oilies- 05.15.09
Quick Take: non-drying, buildable coverage
This is an excellent powder for people with oily skin and large pores. I would not recommend if you have normal or dry skin type. I wear over a liquid foundation and apply it with a very light hand and sparingly over the top & when I need it throughout the day. Helps with the oilies!
This powder stays on even though my face gets oily by the end of the day, I only have to do minimal touch-ups to stay looking fresh.

I have very light skin and this is the first powder I have ever found that matches perfectly. I have combination skin and the powder does bring out the dry patches but it is sheer enough that it really isn't a problem. You can reapply throughout the day without feeling like your makeup is caked on. This is a really great powder for the no-makeup look.

I tend to have very dry skin in places or very oily skin in places. This powder is not good for dry skin. Even when I used moisturizer, my skin felt tight and dry. But for oily skin its perfect. It control oil well. It doesn't change color throughout the day, its easily reapplied without looking cakey, but it doesn't really have buildable coverage like the description says. May want to use a concealer underneath.

Good For Evening Tone- 01.15.09
Quick Take: buildable coverage, natural finish
Good for evening out skin tone but not so much on the shine-reducing front; I still have to use blotting sheets and sometimes use extra matte-powder to help combat that. The puff that comes with it works well with it, but if you try to replace it with a regular compact puff or anything other than a sponge, you might have a problem with even coverage.

Natural, not heavy on face- 01.12.09

I have been using Clinque products for the past 10 yrs b/c my grandma recommended it. This powder is perhaps my favorite of all products! Doesn't make my face oily (I have combination skin) and covers up my blemishes. I have tried Bare Escentuals with no luck since it's time consuming.

Very nice setting powder...- 12.23.08

I have very oily skin and Clinique's Clarifying Powder Makeup makes a wonderful setting powder over my foundation. It is oil-absorbing and helps control the oilyness for hours. I carry it with me for touchups throughout the day and it doesn't build up or get cakey looking on my skin. Very nice powder!

Quick Take: buildable coverage
This product is a staple in my beauty armamentarium. It gives beautiful coverage without looking too heavy or cakey. The color, cream, matches my skin tone perfectly. It gives a finished look when applied over light foundation. I've tried other high end cosmetic products, but I keep coming back to Clinique.

I was a little hesitant to buy a power online before trying it out in person, but I'm sure glad I did! This powder blends naturally and does not irritate my sensitive, break out prone skin. It helps keep shine at bay also. It does look a bit powdery when you first put it on, but that fades in about 5 minutes.

I LOVE this make up!!! I have tried SO many- cream to powder, mineral etc and they either have been too much coverage, too little or wortst of all broken my skin out. This foundation/powder make up leaves my skin with the perfect coverage, no shine, and no clgged pores- and they clog easily! No oil by the end of the day- just perfect natural coverage I LOVE it. I am fair/light with pink undertones and the netral is the perfect match.
If you are on an acne/oily skin care regimen such as Murad or Clinique, this is a perfect compliment to it. I use a Sephora powder brush for application, after using my Murad concealer, with a Sephora concealer brush. The application is flawless, with a quick touch-up every 6 to 8 hours. This compact is for my purse. I keep the other with my daily make-up.

I wear this basically everyday. It is a nice, matte powder that can be worn alone for a light coverup or I like to wear it over my foundation to make my makeup look perfectly matte and set. I also use for touchups thru out the day on my nose and chin. Love this and couldn't be without it. Carry in my purse and car!!
