Lemme just say ive been reading up on this product and I was like okay only 40 dollars, so I went to the store and got matched for a big scar on my leg lets just say im in love !!!! Perfect for hiding my scar on my leg for summer and the make up artist said its makeup dor water dancers so I know itll last I will buy it again for sure..

Quick Take: oil-free
I so wanted to love this foundation. I'd heard so many positive things about it and tried my darndest to love it, but nonetheless, it just didn't work for me. I am very oily and this foundation did nothing but slip & slide by mid day. It wore off... it looked a mess... It went back to the store! I know some ladies think they are oily & they're really not- but are more combination. I am straight oily! As in, if it were possible- my face could end the war. It looked great for a couple of hours, but I had to use soooo much to even get a decent even coverage, and I have good skin- even though I'm oily. I just wanted something light enough to even my skintone & stay there all day.... Just didn't work for me at all. I got the Matte Velvet + & I get along a little better with that one, but it still tends to slide a bit later in the day.

Quick Take: buildable coverage, long wearing
I am in my forties and this is perfect for my age group. It covers enough without being heavy and looks natural on my skin. The foundation does not settle into my pores or laugh lines. I tried shade 20 which was okay, but to light for me. I am using shade 32. It did worry me when I saw how yellow it looked in the bottle, but it does not appear that yellow on my skin. This can be layered for areas where more coverage is needed, although it won't be full coverage, more medium. I like the way it photographs. It also looks nice in sunlight. I don't notice a heavy fragrance. Be sure to give it a good shake before using it or it will be to watery.

went on smooth & hydrating, then turns matte shortly after, which exactly what i want. but it has absolutely no control on oil; my face looks like a grease mud within 30 min. used it for a week, kept giving me chin breakout. very sheer as if you put on nothing.

This is my second bottle...this is by far the best foundation i've tried yet, Works great in the summer months. I have oily acne prone skin and this stuff stays in place.

I bought this foundation for the summer when I am outside but want a little coverage that stays put all day.
If you are looking for a full coverage foundation, this is not it. I have mild rosacea, and I do have redness that shows through; I don't wear this every day, more so just when I'll be outside for a long time but want to look a little put together (music festivals anyone?)
However, if you are looking for something that does a bit to even your skin tone (think light to light medium coverage), and **stays put,** then this is for you.
It applies nicely over a primer or SPF (I use Shiseido or Asian SPF -- they are so much nicer than anything you can get in the US). This will definitely stay all day.
It does have an obnoxious floral scent. I can smell it for awhile, even on my face. If you are sensitive to scents, this might not be for you. It does wear off, though, so I can get through it.

Quick Take: tan colored, lightweight, natural feeling
I was very excited to try 38 Pink Porcelain because I've had a hard time finding a light enough foundation. However it's not really suitable for the very fair at all, Although it is less pink, it's definitely darker than the Liquid Lift in 11, so if that wasn't light enough for you, this won't be either. I loved the unique texture and finish but not having any truly light shades really stinks, and the online swatches of this shade are way off.

If you hate the stench of self tanner as much as I do, you will appreciate this make up's ability to give your legs a warm glow. It is natural looking, and one of the most transfer resistant products I have found.

I've tried this foundation twice. Everyone raves about it, so I thought I must be doing something wrong, but my skin is just not good enough for it. The first time I tried it, I bought the wrong color because they were out of the color I needed, so that was my bad, but the second time I had hope to use it because my skin is going through a weird transition phase from oily to dry, and I needed a foundation that would not emphasize my dry cheeks. It did do I good job of not emphasizing the flakiness, but I could not build up the coverage without it looking uneven and just plain weird. I tried with my fingers, regular foundation brush, beauty blender, buffing brush, and a stippling brush. None worked. I rarely get pimples, but I have mild rosacea, and so the minimal coverage provided was just not good enough. If you have perfect but SLIGHTLY uneven skin tone, this would probably be perfect for you.

But alas, it just wasnt right for my skin. I have combination skin that leans more to the dry side. Add sensitive skin on top of that and it just makes it a little harder to find the best cosmetics for your face. Anyway, I felt that the foundation was too heavy for my face or my liking (I prefer a natural look) and I think it made my face break out more. I'm testing Tarte cosmetics right now. They have all natural products with antioxidants and mouisturizers so I think that is going to be my best bet. Happy hunting for your ideal foundation ladies!

Great foundation for "Newbies"

I've been using Mineral Foundation (Bare Minerals & Bobbi Brown) for years - but recently have wanted to find a foundation with a more light "dewy" finish that lasts a little longer on the skin than mineral foundation. This is the first liquid foundation I've tried and I am hooked!
It's a water based foundation - so I find that it sits best over a water based moisturizer (I use Kate Sommerville's Serum Sunscreen). Also since it's water based, I do not use a sponge to apply because it will absorb too much of the product -- a brush or clean fingers work fine to evenly apply this "mousse"/"gel-like" foundation.
I have normal/combination skin with neutral to yellow undertones. I like Ivory 20 when I am more fair and Honey Beige 34 after I've gotten some sun. I was color matched in a Sephora store as I am always uncertain about the pictures/descriptions companies provide.
If you are in the market for a light coverage, water-based foundation -- I would definitely recommend checking this one out the next time you are in a Sephora!

I bought this product a couple of weeks ago in store. I am obsessed with makeup and research it like its my job lol I told the lady that was helping mee that I needed something to cover my red dermatitis on my face but wont look or feel cakey. This was the first makeup she had me try and i loved it! IT FEELS SO SMOOTH! and it covers what i need it to! If you are looking for full coverage this may not be your product, but if you have somewhat descent skin.. you will fall in love! one of my best purchases yet

Lines disappear, skin looks flawless. Doesn't look like great makeup, looks like great skin that doesn't need makeup..waterproof is the bonus, a hotflash doesn't even touch it ;)

This is the best foundation I've ever tried. Wins over Chanel, YSL, Lancome and Bobbi Brown with flying colors. It doesn't show fine lines, it smoothes out your complection and gives you that magical glow. I am on my fifth bottle!

I used this product years ago and now that I was going back to using foundation again, I did my research. I probably tried about 10 other foundations before settling on this. The colour actually matches me, makes my skin dewy and I love the scent. Note of warning: this is NOT heavy coverage; if that's what you want, find something else

Super lightweight and sheer foundation. Many foundations say they're sheer but they are not. This one actually is. People ask me all the time if I wear foundation or not, because they can't tell. But it's also buildable if you choose and it blends easily.

it's good that it's very lightweight & goes on smoothly. It was matte for about 30 min, then my entire face looks like a darkened grease ball as the product's color changed due to oil production & heat. not something to recommend for people with oily skin or humid weather.

I have finally found a makeup that hides flaws and DOES NOT settle into lines, pores and flaws! It actually improves the appearance of my complexion. Sadly, the store is out of my shade (38), so I'll have to wait for them to restock the fairer, pink undertone shades. BTW, this product does not contain any dimethicone! Thank you!!
