The color is terrible. It made my face look orange and fake. Also I have very oily skin and it stayed matte about an hour. I really want to return it but I've hade it like 3 weeks even though I tried only twice. I hate to return things but I will never use this. Once again I'm on the hunt again matte powder.

After reading the reviews on this I was a little hesitant but it's worked great for me so far! It goes on smoothly and takes all the shine away. It's not chalky at all. I use the lightest shade and it matches perfectly. I do notice that it only lasts about 5 hours, but I do have extremely oily skin so I wasn't surprised. Overall, great product!

I've been the type to use a powder foundation, and because of that I was kind of weary of using powder on powder because throughout my experience -it's made my face look chalky or cakey. Throughout the first couple hours after the application my skin looked fairly nice and matte as long as I don't apply too much of the powder or of course your face will eventually end up looking like you put too much makeup on.
But I tend to have incredibly oily skin around my t-zone like most people and after about 4+ hours you could see my skin get oily.
But another thing to take into consideration is that the powder can go all over the place so that's why I made sure the I only took off the sticker in the container half-way, as well as keep the powder puff inside.

This is a heat basic finishing powder. I was looking for something with a little bit of extra coverage and this did the trick. I wouldn't recommend using the included puff, as the application is a little heavy handed, but with a kabuki brush, it was great. I still got a little oily part way through the day, especially on my forehead, so it doesn't totally mattify, but I am happy with this purchase. My only real complaint is the lack of colour choice. Three is not nearly enough.

Ok i have to say this is the BEST matte powder i have ever used! I have oily skin and it keeps me shine free all day long, I dont even have to touch up throughout my day at work anymore. (I used to have to multiple times with my old product) This product truly is what is says. My only complaint is when i received it the powder seemed to be only half full thus the 4 stars. For the price i expected a little more but i guess this will have to do since it works so wonderfuly. I hope this helps! :)

Where has this been all my life! I have a super oily t-zone and can never find the right powder to keep it looking good for more than a few hours. This powder goes on smooth, works all day and night and lasts a long time. My new favourite!!

Quick Take: amazing!!
I love this powder. My makeup stays fresh looking and my oily skin only needs a couple of blotting powders throughout the day, if that. I got the translucent 12 and it did not change the color of my foundation. I am not sure how the other two shades would perform. I think my search for a great loose powder is over.

I love this powder for two reasons... 1. It really does keep you matte and 2. No matter how much you pack it on you will not look like powder face at all! This goes great with the HD Foundation, it creates a very flawless completion ;)

I use this on top of my Boscia BB Cream. It leaves my face very soft focused. It is ultra light and silky. i use the # 52 as I am dark tanned. It is perfect.

I have been using the Make Up For Ever HD Microfinishing Powder for over a year. I loved it, but my main complaint was the packaging and the fact that it flies everywhere when you open it and try to use it. I feel like this Super Matte Loose Powder has fixed that problem and gives me the same results.
I bought it in Translucent, it goes on perfectly over my Mat Velvet Foundation. It decreases oil and shine all day. I work long 12 hours days in a hospital and I don't have to re-touch up my make up since starting to use this. It comes with a powder sponge for apply it. I sometimes use the sponge, other times I use a large powder brush.

I have combination skin that get very oily in some places, and very dry and flaky in others. I use this to set my foundation, and while it isn't the most mattifying, in does set my foundation without looking chalky or powdery, and without drying out my skin. I do have to blot or touch up about every four to five hours. I bought the translucent shade, and it doesn't leave a white cast, it actually seems to make my foundation a bit darker, as it seems to oxidize slightly. It also contains talc. I won't be repurchasing, and will instead be trying the Smooth Operator powder from Tarte next.

Quick Take: sheer coverage, doesn't cake, not really long-lasting, finely milled, ultra smooth look and feel, powder poofs everywhere, flimsy jar lid
I use this powder to set my makeup although I usually use it on its own (with primer). I have used it without primer on its own, it does obviously reduce shine but I don't really feel that it's long-lasting for shine and oil reduction even though my skin is pretty normal and I don't get too oily, I also don't think it looks as good alone without primer. I'm almost done with my translucent powder, I'm still not sure if I'll buy this again mainly for longevity issues. I'll probably check out the powder in the shade Sand 14 in store to see how the shade works with my skin tone though.

-might accentuate ANY dryness in your skin, exfoliate often!
