I love this stuff, my skin feels so smooth. On days that I don't wear makeup I still use this product for the vitamins for my skin.

Quick Take: blurring, oil controling
I had no idea that this product is considered a primer at all. It was sold to me as and I used it as an alternative to mattifying powder. I got it at the end of the summer when it was absurdly hot and muggy and a new medication I was on had made my skin an oil spill. It worked well. I would pat just a little on in my problem areas that were shiny using the sponge. The sponge worked okay, but it was way too big for the packaging -- trying to jam it back it was tiresome each time I had to do it.
Once the August heat had passed and my medication changes had balanced out, I had absolutely no use for this product. It dried my normally very dry skin out more. I can't imagine using it as a primer, as it has a very very grippy texture to it that would probably just make the foundation pill up.
If you have extremely oily skin and don't want to wear foundation at all, I did notice that this balm had a lovely softening/blurring effect on bare skin, though.

Quick Take: lightweight, pasty, velvty
I bought this balm on the hype for benefit cosmetics which turned out to be pretty good for most of it. First, I must say, it came in really bad condition - in a cheap can and the product itself looked like it was tilted for the last year and dripped to the side. I should have returned, but I decided to try. Now, I have pretty oily skin with large pores sticking out. I have to say, it does make your skin velvety, but then it does exaggerates the pores and makes skin oily pretty soon. And then again, this pasty unnatural look, in spite of all the oily situation going on... Just weird. I would rather use a good pore-less primer instead.

I don't know how I lived without Dr. Feelgood for so long! Whether I put it over makeup or not, it leaves my complexion looking smoother and softer. Everyone should try it!

This is amazing! I have oily skin, especially during the warmer months and this totally tames it. It gives my skin a smooth appearance and is better than any primer I've ever used under my makeup. I'm hooked!

Im not really sure what the point of this product is- its not like the Porefessional product from Benefit, although it claims to do similar things. Its not a moisturizer either, nor does it substitute for one. I purchased this because i want velvety skin (something i don't have), but it doesn't do that either. its really just a face balm. maybe you can use this as a substitute for a face primer. maybe. but if your like me you already have a (couple) face primer(s), so maybe it cab be used as a primer for sunscreen or as a sunscreen...i dont know..save your money.

Quick Take: greasy
I've heard countless raves about this and even my Mom's is well loved. But it just doesn't seem to do anything for me. It mattes my skin for a couple hours but it soon makes me feel greasier than normal. I'll probably give it away.

I've been buying this product since last year and i liked it. But i have to say, it is not for EXTREMELY oily skin like me. It controls oil at the first three hours then it doesn't work anymore. I think it is good for oily skin but not for super oily skin type.

Very happy with it as a primer. I love that it comes with a sponge for an easy application. Use everyday. I doubt that I would ever us the product after I put on my make up tho.

Oh how I love Dr. Feelgood. It feels absolutely luxurious on my skin and fills in my pores so they are practically invisible, even after powder. A girl once looked at my skin and said, "What are you, the pore-less wonder?" I said, "No, that's Dr. Feelgood!"

inititally I didn't know how i would this when i got it. The first time, i used it under my foundation and I didn't really like the cakey feeling it gave me, but I tried again later on and used it over my makeup, using a blotting motion with the sponge for whenever my foundation gets too shiny and it works wonders for me - my face stays matte the rest of the day

I have tried many different primers from all brands and never saw any difference in my skin or makeup. With this product my pores are much much smaller and fine lines disappear , and I have a all day matte look. This product makes my makeup look fantastic from 6am till 10pm. This is the best primer out there!! Love love this product !!!

Quick Take: unpleasant at best
Benefit is one of my favorite makeup lines, so I am shocked at how disappointed I am with this product. My skin is not normally sensitive, but this felt so uncomfortable on my face, making it red and burning, and made my makeup look splotchy. To be fair, I gave it two more chances to be part of my daily routine, but each time I couldn't wait to wash the product off of my skin.Also, it did nothing for my pores or fine lines so the discomfort was simply not worth it. Hated it so much that this was the first product I ever returned to Sephora.
