Love The Butter
-03.04.13
I really like this loc butter and it gives my hair the right amount oil and hold that my baby dreads need. I didn't think this product would hold up with sweating from exercise but it did so this is my new go to product for locs.

i use many CD products. thought this would be different and great for twists, but i found it no different than any of her other products. maybe this was a little thicker than some. i would not buy again.

For the Boyfriend
-12.17.12
Quick Take: lightly scented great ingredients natural
I bought this for my boyfriend because he has straight, crazy hair that is only calm when he grows it out. This pomade goes on lightly and washes out without leaving a residue. The beeswax holds well without drying out and his hair is actually much softer!
Plus it smells pretty good... can't really ask for more :)

GREAT for transitioning out of relaxer
-11.07.12
I love this stuff! It works and holds like crazy, but you never feel like you have nasty chemicals in your hair because everything is natural. It makes for great second-day hair if you don't have time to wash your hair again in the morning. Love it.

Excellent Product
-10.23.12
Quick Take: lightweight, non-sticky, easy to use, soft, easy on the nose smells great, perfect for blow-dried twist-outs and bantu knots
My hair is in its' natural state and really doesn't care for a lot of products. I wanted something that I could use to hold my dry styles and this works perfectly. Holds up well under humidity also.

Excellent Produt!
-08.21.12
Quick Take: easy to use, lightweight, non-sticky
I have tried several Carol's Daughter hair products, but this is my absolute favorite. I went natural 2 yrs, ago and wear my hair in 2 strand twists. The loc butter makes my hair look and feel fabulous. You only need a small amount and it does a fantastic job! I also like the Mimosa hair honey.

great stuff
-06.23.12
Quick Take: easy to use, lightweight, non-sticky, smells fantastic, natural and organic
I had been using Jonathan's "Dirt" for years and have had trouble locating it lately, so I tried this. I have read many reviews about Carol's Daughter's products, but I did have a hard time deciding which product to buy. I loved the smell of this one so I chose it.

Twin girl.....Twist
-05.31.12
I have 3 year old twin girls who have very soft/curly hair and I couldn't find any thing that would tame there hair and keep it moisturized through out the day. My girlfriend told me to try Carol's Daughter and I started with the kids shampoo & conditioner along with the Hair Milk Curl Definer in which i noticed an imediate change....so I wanted to do some twist and purchased the Loc Butter and it is just AWESOME!!!! I have thrown away all the other hair products and strictly only use CD on my babies hair..Thank You so much because I am a working mom and hair is not a strong point for me.

Carol's Daughter Loc Butter
-05.24.12
Butter is right. Even if I use a portion the size of my small pinky nail, still too heavy on my hair. And then I shower at the end of the day, wet my hair, and do same next day and the heavyness is still there. It makes it hard to blow dry bec it feels there's still residue from the previous day. I end up shampooing more often just to start from scratch.

Fly Aways No More
-04.05.12
Quick Take: lightweight, easy to use
I LOVE this product. My daughter is biracial and has beautiful curly hair. I braid her hair often and its hard to get the "baby hairs" along the hairline to stay in the braid. This product not only holds the style, it provides excellent moisture. This is something I definately will purchase again.

Too greasy for me
-03.24.12
Quick Take: heavy
I have medium length, wavy (frzzy in humidity) hair that is now dry (since I turned 50) and used to be oily. This Loc Butter wound up too heavy and greasy for me. Back it went -- exchanged for the Marguerite's Magic.

Finally!
-02.11.12
Quick Take: non-sticky, lightweight, easy to use, leaves hair super soft, perfect amount of shine
I finally found a pomade that is not too shiny, has hold that lasts throughout the day, allows you to restyle during the day, and leaves hair super soft. I love this stuff! Plus it's huge so it will last forever!!

Could be a lot better
-01.31.12
Quick Take: easy to use
This product is great for braiding, and twisting natural hair because it provides hold without stiffness. I don't find it that moisturizing because after a couple of days the that feels and looks dry, dull, and brittle. therefor, a style that should last a week only last about three days. This product is a better alternative to gel when wearing pony tails.

Transforming ...again
-01.16.12
Quick Take: easy to use
I like the fact that this Loc Butter holds, is non sticky, no flaking, can be used wet or dry. I usually wash, condition and use the loc butter on my two strand twists. The hold is great; lasting for at least 8 days. Then I pop my twists and wear the wiggles free for another 4-7 days. I get compliments and questions about my hair all the time. GREAT Product.

great stuff
-12.26.11
Quick Take: non-sticky, lightweight, easy to use, smells good
I have children of mixed race, so keeping the fly aways down could be difficult. This is non-greasy palmade that smells great and helps to condition my daughters' hair and keep the fly aways away.

Great Product, Horrible Smell!
-11.28.11
Quick Take: non-sticky, easy to use, great for natural hair, great for curly hair
I loved Carol's Daughter Loc Butter, it gave me great definition to my natural hair (3c, 4a), amazing (amazing, amazing) shine, and held the shape of my hair greatly. It was also moisturizing for my braids. The only con I would add is the overpowering strong smell. Hence only 4 stars. The smell lingers and it is not pleasant. If it smelled like coconuts or flowers, it would be great! If you're okay with an overpowering medicine smell in your hair, I would recommend the Loc Butter. If not, RUN!
Great Product, Horrible Smell!
