My everyday sunscreen- 11.21.09
Quick Take: non-greasy, blends in easily, natural
I have been using this for several years and still find it to be the best sunscreen out there for everyday use (although I choose something stronger when hiking, at the beach, etc.). Good sheer coverage and sun protection, nice color on my pale skin, blends in easily, not too greasy.

Okay I am very fair skin and I sweat a lot in the summer but sweat all year long. I have rosacea on my nose and chin so I have to be really careful. I got this and wasn't so thrilled because I thought...may I could buy stuff in Europe with the photo stabilizing stuff. Well I put it on and my face looked great just with the foundation on. What I noticed and not sure why Clinique does this...on the bottle it says that it is a make-up primer too. It does not list this on the box. I think that would be a good selling point. It goes on nice and not too thick. My makeup (estee) works well with it and doesn't cake up which I have had many do.Awesome Stuff!!!

Not for Me- 11.14.09

It didn't work on my skin. After I apply my moisturaiuser, I put this sun screen. After 10min or so, I felt my skin got dry.... I wanted to use this and Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder for my everyday make-up (midium coverage: it's enough for me just going to school.), but I will return this product.
One thing good about this product is that it gose really well with Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder. Even though my sikn got dry, still my skin looked really healthy.

...but not for me. It does what is intended to do: protection and keep your make up looking fresh all day but I am breaking out from it. I have a pretty oily face and this controls my oil but I am also breaking out. This makes me very sad cause I do love the product. It is just not for me. I have med-dark skin so it does leave somewhat of a white tint but since I wear powder over it, it's usually not a problem. I just don't like that I'm breaking out. Great product but definitely not for me.

Excellent sunblock but not excellent as a primer- 11.01.09
Quick Take: blends in easily, tinted, non-irritating, brightens, gentle
I love this sunblock--the SPF 40 is wonderful, does not clog my pores or cause breakouts, does not turn me ghostly white, and the price is great for the quality of the product. However, this is not a great primer. It runs during the day if I sweat or if it rains and smudges my makeup. It also takes forever to dry so I have to wash it out of my make-up brushes if I apply makeup over this. I will continue to buy this as a sunscreen--especially since I love the slight tint--but I do not recommend it as a primer.

Great Sunscreen, Makeup Primer- 10.30.09

I have used this sunscreen for years! My skin is fair and very sensitive, and I've never had any trouble with a reaction to this product. It provides a very high level of SPF protection without being greasy. It is slightly tinted, so it works well alone or under makeup. I wear a cheek stain for a blush, and I find it very easy to blend after using this product first as opposed to using it on bare skin. I never leave home without it!

I like this product a lot because it has a 40spf. It is really hard to find anything over 30spf that doesn't clump up/rub off or irratate sensitive skin. I wear this every day. It is a little runny, but that is a minor complaint.

My mom uses this and she raves about it but for me, it's not so well. I have combination skin that's not usually sensitive. On the other hand, this product makes me break out for some reason. It's pretty easy to use, needs to be blended out on my skin because there's a grey/white cast left over if not blended in well.

This is my third tube of Clinique Super City block. I've been using this for more than a year, and I love it. It is really the best block. It's not greasy. No white mask that is usually with high SPF product. No breakouts. I can use this under my foundation or alone. I live in very sunshiny part of the world. Recommend.

Darker tones beware- 09.25.09

I have oily skin especially aggravated in the summer so I love the texture of this sunscreen. totally gets the job done. I am of a darker complexion(lighter black) and it looks a little grey/ashy on my skin tone so if you have a darker skin tone use sparingly. otherwise its fantastic! Wonderful for oiler skin types

i first used it with even better skin tone corrector and it greatly decreased acne spots, however i hate that i have to wait at least 10 minutes after i apply it in order for the product to settle before i proceed to applying makeup on, it does leave a sheer tint of color and someone mentioned that if your skin tone is on the darker side to be aware of that. its not greasy but it leaves your face a little shiny which goes away after the product settles.

The sun block is not greasy so your face doesn't shine. It also doesn't feel heavy on your face. I break out easily and this sun block doesn't make me break out. I put it underneath my mineral foundation and it provides me with protection from the sun all day long. Especially when I am out shopping all day.

I love this product, but just remember that it doesn't take much. I always tend to "overdose" on products, but I have finally got it right with this. I like to mix it on my fingers with Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizer, then apply to my face and neck.

It doesn't cause irritation, oil build up or overdrying. It doesn't leave whitish residue as other sun blockers. It's a light beige color. Your face deserves it yearround.
