I would recommend this to those gals who need a little help evening out skin tone prior to foundation application. This used in conjunction with either your fav tinted moisturizer, alone or under your foundation with the most coverage you just can't go wrong! keeps my face fresh plus I have not broken out yet!

An okay sunblock- 02.27.10
Quick Take: blends in easily
I use this under my foundation and I don't fully like it. I prefer a white based sunblock but this has pigmentation. It does absorb to your skin fairly well but I would try another sunblock after I finish this one.

I really like this product. I bought something comparable from Stila, and have come back to the Clinique version because I find it gives my skin a really nice appearance--seems to even out my skin tone. The only flaw is that you've got to really rub it in-otherwise, it can sometimes sit on the skin, and make it look a bit dry. Easily dealt with by just spending a bit more time working the product into the skin. Great for the price, and nice to have the option of 40 spf.

This sunscreen is great but I do find that it isn't as lightweight as they advertise it to be. Like many sunscreens it does allow your skin to look more pale. It does give some shine to it and makes your skin slightly oily. This sunscreen is truly great for any type of skin! And gives great coverage.

My oily, break-out prone skin also happens to be fair as can be, and in need of sun protection on a daily basis. I have never found a sunblock with a high enough SPF to cover me that hasn't also made my skin greasy and irritated. Enter: City Block! This stuff is perfect, just what it should be. It goes on smooth, absorbs quickly, and works perfectly under make-up. No gritty feel, no grease, nothing sticky, just perfect sun protection. I use it every day!

This sun block/face protector/makeup primer/miracle potion is wonderful! I know that I am protecting my skin each time I apply it, and the sheer tint makes it possible to wear alone. I have oily skin, and this has helped to keep it less oily throughout the day! It also helps my foundation go on smooth, and keeps my makeup in place all day! Now I can't live without it!!

I have never encountered such a wonderful sunscreen before! I have extremly fair skin and this is my protection. The color is a very light almost beige like color, but it fades into skin on contact. I recomend shaking the bottle before applying because it can get watery

Perfect for summer!- 01.24.10

I love this stuff in the summer when I don't want to use a lot of makeup. It has a really sheer color and is thick so it goes on smoothly. I wear it on my face & neck all summer long instead of foundation & it never makes me break out plus my super fair skin has yet to get burned while wearing it (that is saying a LOT for my skin). It does have a dewey feel to it (some may say greasy?) but I like that look, dewey not oily, especially in the summer when I am sweating all the time anyway! My only problem with it is that I have to avoid my eye area when applying it because it REALLY burns my eyes.

I have combination skin, a little oily in the T-zone. This product feels really nice. When it comes out of the tube, it felt a little thick, so it takes a little more effort to blend it on my face, but it goes on smooth, doesn't feel heavy at all. Definitely non-greasy. And it doesn't make me break out.

Just what I've been looking for!- 01.15.10

I'm a huge fan of Clinique products in general, and this one does not disappoint! I'm light skinned with a lot of freckles and incredibly concerned with sun protection. I was looking for a product that I could use daily, with or without makeup.
SInce the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion Gel doesn't contain SPF, I was concerned with the health of my skin in the long term since I wasn't using a daily sunscreen. I just put this on over my DDML gel every morning- it goes on easily and smoothes over my face. It has a little bit of a sunscreen smell, but nowhere near as strong or as bad as any normal sunscreen.
The product definitely has a tint to it- its pretty sheer and I've had no problems with it blending into my skin tone. I have type 3 skin that is acne-prone and sensitive, but City Block hasn't made me break out and even evens out my skin tone a bit! I usually finish it with a little bit of powder foundation- AFTER IT HAS DRIED. Otherwise it makes the powder look gross. But when I don't feel like wearing makeup it still looks fine. Love it and will definitely be buying more!

I'm using this product to help prevent age spots. Not sure if it's working or not, time will tell. But, it's not greasy and isn't making me break out. It's a bit on the dry side, so I have to use a lot at a time to spread it without streching my skin.

I didn't like it so much, I like it is SPF 40, which is what I wanted, but it is tinted, and I didn't like it so much because sometime if I do not wear make up, and go somewhere sunny, It is not good for the skin if the sunblock is tinted, which has foundation base.

I am a very pale ginger and wear this every day under my makeup, sun or no sun. My skin will be thanking me for doing this when I am 40 :). If it makes your face a little greasy just put some powder (prep-n-prime!) over it and it's not a problem. It's just nice and gentle, and should be a staple for everyone.

i have very dry and oily skin but this product worked great!!!! it evens out my skin tone and absorbs excess oil so i have a gorgeouse complection with a healthy vibrant glow. when i first put it on my skin looked really oily but within a few seconds it looked great! antway this is a great product for ALL skin types! but you should put a moisturier underneath the product if your skin is really dry.
