Goes on somewhat clumpy and must be combed out. But little flakes remain on the lashes, sticking out ever which way. The lashes don't look smooth. Then as the day goes on, these little flakes end up on the skin under my eyes.
There's no smudging, and it's certainly waterproof, but the flaking just doesn't cut it. Lancome should be able to do better than that.
Beware if you wear contacts!

Lancome waterproof - need I say more?

I used to use only Dior - I still do occasionally. Now, I usually use the Lancome Dfinicils; however, they were out of stock. So, I tried this instead. I was not disappointed. Everytime I have ever tried a Lancome waterproof mascara, I have been please. Although I had to add a second coat to this one, with most mascaras, you usually have to add at Least a second coat. This goes on quickly, smoothly and easily. The BEST part is... NO CLUMPS. It is also easy to remove with a makeup remover. Many waterproof mascaras are not.

I wanted to try Lancome's mascara, since I have heard a lot of people raving about it. I'm Asian, so my lashes are not that noticeable.
Alas, I'm very satisfied with L'Extreme, perfect for me.
It really does lengthen the lashes. The most important thing is that it looks very natural and does not clump at all. The texture is good and the wand comes out with the right amount of mascara.

This is far better than their Definils mascara that I tried once as a sample.

I have always bought the dior mascara but noticed that my lashes were falling out.. As much as i love dior.. I had to buy lancome because its the best waterproof mascara. I love the brush because its so easy to apply it :)

I love this mascara. It is a bit pricey, but I am willing to pay for it unlike some others I've tried. The waterproof qualities are great! I have squinty eyes, and even though I never apply to my bottom lashes, some mascaras manage to get in the creases under my eyes, this one doesn't budge. It gives me just the amount of length/volume/curl I've always wanted. I like that the brush is easy to work with, unlike some of the crazy stuff out there now. I don't find it clumps, but I do find it will flake by the end of a ay if you ever touch your eyes by accident. Despite this looking amazing, and holding sooo well, my reason for a 4/5 is that I have very very very sensitive eyes and this doesn't work as an every day mascara for me. I find by the end of the day I just want to rub my eyes to death, and it takes a bit more effort to remove than other mascaras.

I really like this mascara. I know its pricey, but it holds curl well and it doesn't clump up on me. I like that it looks natural but gives length. It doesn't look clumpy, flakey, or fake on me. I will purchase again.

This mascara seperates and waterproofs well. The brush shape makes it easy to reach the fine lashes in the outer corners of the eye. I also like the wand's handle shape. It is difficult to remove though. So far, the best product to remove it that I have found is Vaseline. I wish it thickened the lashes too.

Perfect for me. I have long eyelashes that curl nicely but if I don't use a waterproof mascara they just go limp. This keeps the curl and pumps up the volume. 5 stars!

Two words: RACCOON EYES. I didn't wear this enough to fully investigate how waterproof it is, but when it smudges like this, does it even matter? I've had good luck with other Lancome products, but this was a disappointment. Returned it.

This mascara is legitimately waterproof. I jumped into a pool and swam for three hours and my lashes still looked great when I got out. I have long and thick lashes for an Asian girl but I receive a lot of length from thismascara, and it doesn't clump at all. The only downside I can find about this product is there's so much lengthening that some mascara gets on my lids but that might just be me. The business card trick that Michelle Phan uses is a quick fix for that small problem, though. If you want elegant length without clumps and a waterproof formula that works, this is definitely the mascara for you.

First and foremost, I bought it for 2 reasons: waterproof and lenghtening.
so, I really like the waterproof factor of this mascara. But I don't think it really lengthens that much. I guess it didn't impress me because I have typical short, straight-down asian lashes, so I was expecting more.
The formula is pretty dry. No volume whatsoever.

This stuff STICKS and doesn't flake off like some other mascaras I've tried. Layer for good volume, decent for length, good for definition; all in all, you get a lot of oomph for the price. On the other hand, you'll want to buy some Lancome makeup remover when you buy this mascara, cuz otherwise it'll be around for a while. None of my 3 facewashs completely remove it. Hello, raccoon eyes! PS--if you just use water, no face wash, this stuff's staying put.
