I have acne prone skin/ acne scarring so I thought this product would help. However it just darkened the skin. .making my complexion darker but didnt really help. I did not feel the super soft skin I read reviews on. Its also really hard to avoid the sun for a week which is actually longer....when your supposed to use it once a week. And to see results it must be used for a few weeks. Thats a lot of time indoors or under a big hat. I returned it.

Quick Take: easy to use quick
Great product, only problem is i wouldn't use a cotton ball to apply because it wastes too much product. Just use your hands and wash them good. I have had so many compliments on how great and clear my face looks! No need to use a bunch of cover up anymore! Love this product!

Quick Take: effective, gentle, mismatched with the step-two product
This is another strong product from Dr. Brandt's arsenal of consistently innovative, high-quality 'at-home procedures.'
What I recommend, personally, is NOT following the instruction of pumping the peeling solution (step 1) into a cotton pad, and instead, spreading it on your face with your fingers, as I've found that this really soaks up and diminishes a significant amount of product. The peel process itself is far more gentle/pleasant than one might expect; you might appear a bit flushed afterward, but, with extremely sensitive, acne-prone skin, my skin was tolerant of the 5-minute wait.
My only true issue with the product is the (step 2) gel, which I have found a number of people are not big fans of. It is messy/leaky and not all that effective. I'd personally much prefer the (incredible--and more soothing) Creme Concentree that comes as the step two with Brandt's Detoxygen Experience facial, and have found that substituting this (as I alternate both products) produces better results than the gel.
Overall, worth the price tag if you are a loyalist to the Brandt brand. You need to truly use it weekly to see results, which I do and have.

Quick Take: gentle, fast acting
I'm a 28 yr old with fair colored, very dry, acne prone, discolored skin with darker marks/acne scars on my cheeks. This improved the texture of my skin drastically! It has faded some of my scars as well and I love it! I bought a 2nd bottle before I ran out of the 1st one.
The peel is quick, the results impressed me the first time I dabbed it on my face in the store that I bought it on the spot. It's very gentle and has not made my acne flare up. I have not had a problem with my skin being too sensitive after I use it and my skin looks more plump now.
The product itself is amazing, the packaging could be improved. There is no window indicating how much product is left, and for the first two times I screwed open the bottom cream I spilled some out. I didn't realize the soothing gel was thin and you need to ensure the jar keeps upright instead of tipping it when you separate the two (my mistake!). Overall I love it and obviously would recommend since I have already bought a second one!

Quick Take: easy to use, acne treatment, exfoliating
Because this is a peel I would use this on a day I plan on lazying about the house. It leaves my face a little red after a use but not beet-red. My skin feel so clean and smooth after using this. This product also helps acne problems because bacteria causes acne and the oxygenizing formula kills bacteria on your face.

Quick Take: a great team-player (see my descrptn), does more than it states, excellent for sensitive/ combo/ dry 30's/40's skin
I think after you use this, you'll say to yourself as you're rubbing your cheek in the mirror:
"So THIS is what they mean when they say; 'Feels like a baby's bottom'..." It actually feels like my kids bottom before applying Desitin(TM) !! ~About 5minutes after you apply the Soothing Gel.
I say 'BUT', because, I don't care when it comes to price too much ( EXCEPT for a $500 Face Cream~No names, b/c we all know it, right? LOL! ), -BUT-This one is teetering on the Expensive side..
If the results weren't so immediate, I would've returned. But like w/ all my Dr.Brandt items (minus Collagen Booster), I am MORE than pleased.
I am 34 & use this as a switch-out w/DDF's 400x Revolver--a Physical Exfoliator. This is a Chemical Exfoliator & BOTH are EXCELLENT.
In lieu of Moisturizer, prior to Priming w/ Urban Decay's Pore Refining OR NARS SPF Primer & Spot Primers, I use:
DDF's Wrinkle Resist Serum (High Priced, too @ $85 for 1.7oz Tube--Clear w/ Orange-y Helix Ribbon thru middle).
If you have:

*COMBINATION
*WRINKLES BEGINNING BUT STILL GET A BREAKOUT >>

Quick Take: good value
This product *really* works!!!!! Since I started using this exfoliating system, my skin has become softer, far less oily on the t-zone, and more responsive to the other (Dr. Brandt) treatments that I use. I alternate it with the Oxigenating Facial (Detoxygen Experience) and I use these masks twice a week each. The results are fantastic!!!!! :) :)

I've used this product twice and I get nothing from it. No tingle, no smooth feeling, no noticeable change at all. It's a huge disappointment to me but I'll keep using it weekly and see if time changes things. It costs too much to toss.

Quick Take: works as your dermatologist peeling
i used to have peeling treatment in the doctor once a week, but since i moved to US, i can't find a perfect dermatologist that suits me. when i was looking for cleansing product in sephora, i was interested by the packaging of the product. and i read the ingredients, i was so happy coz this is just what i need!!! without line up and making any appointment. and the best thing is it's much cheaper..

I love this peel! I only use it once or twice a week, because I use the same brand's microdermabrasion weekly. So I save this for special occasions when I want to "out glow" every girl in the room. :)

So far I have had good results with Dr. Brandt's products, I use the pores no more line. I tried the peel for the first time this afternoon and so far I am impressed. Considering that I exfoliate my skin often and moisturize religiously, I was surprised to notice a radiance to my skin. The best was when my boyfriend, who did not know I applied anything to my face walked into the room and just blurted out: "Wow, you're glowing" This comment alone coming from the most distracted man on the face of the planet convinced me that for my skin, this product is a keeper.

I have the peeling solution on my face as I type. I really really like this stuff! It doesn't have any color like most masks, so you can't even tell it's on. I also like the tingly sensation, so I know it's working! You get what you pay for, so this is a great product! No crazy perfumes, just very simple and nice! Very nice on my sensitive skin too! This is deffinately my new favorite! <3

I've used this peel about once every 10 days and it's paying big divident...yes, I'm a sunworshipper and have a tan but the 2 little brown spots on my face have faded *considerably* and I've been using facial sunblock. Yes, it does tingle a bit but in a good way...so/so on the moitsturizer..I stick to my heavy duty stuff. A great buy that I plan or purchasing again!

Quick Take: great results!
I have been using this for 3 weeks now and am loving the results :) I have dry, sensitive, aging skin and it is tough to find a effective peel without it being too strong. First time I used it I noticed an immeadiate glow to my skin and it felt softer. By the second use porse were noticably smaller. I just did the 3rd peel and my skin feels soft and firmer. I took the advice of another poster on here and applied using a brush rather then a cotton pad and really ahd great results as the brush did not absorb the product. I use the soothing gel and then follow with my moisturizer. I use sunblock every day and that is a must have commitment if you are going to get maximum results from this.

I am used to having peels at the dermatologist and have been doing it for years. This product is excellent for using in between treatments. The effects are very noticeable to my skin. For all of the people that are saying they feel a tingling, etc., you're SUPPOSED to feel that. That means it's doing it's job! I have recommended this product to many friends and they're thrilled also!

I like the idea of the products, and I really liked the way it felt after the treatment, it was definitely an inconvenience to keep my face covered from the sun. I was afraid that my skin would be too sensitive under the sun, so for the 2, 3 weeks I tried these products, I tried my best to keep my face covered under a large brim hat. Now that it's winter, and I live in California, it's hard to look appropriate in a large brim hat in the winter. It would have been nice to have the convenience of simply keeping my face protected with sunblock and make-up.

I'm a big fan of the other products but not so much the peel. When you first apply it, it burns like crazy but that is to be expected. Other than that, you would never know that I used this product as it made no difference in the appearance of my skin and I definitely did not peel.

Made chemotherapy-damaged dry skin dewy again

I am 31 and have always been blessed with great skin (genetics--thanks mom!). After 6+ months of chemotherapy, my skin was showing some damage--small dark spots, fine lines, and would very easily get dried out. I have been using this system for 3 months now and have noticed a positive difference. Miracles don't happen overnight so the change was gradual (and nothing happened until after the second use) but now my skin is softer and retains moisture. Most notably, though, my makeup no longer settles into those fine lines--and no more smudging or flaking! Although it is pricey, I think it's well worth the investment--particularly if you find that cheaper products either don't work at all, or work immediately but are ultimately too harsh for repeated use. I didn't give it a 5-star rating because--well--I'm pretty strict on that. 5-stars are reserved for products that achieve the impossible! One suggestion for those who want to make the product last longer: I've begun using it every 2 weeks, alternating it with basic drugstore apricot scrub--fantastic results!
