Perfect Match!

I have been trying quite a few pressed and loose powders lately, trying to find a "healthy" one without a lot of chemicals and talc. During this quest, I have also had a hard time finding the perfect shade match (which has never been a problem before).
In truth, I was most concerned about THIS power- because it only offers 4 shades! After contemplating for weeks, I finally took the plunge- as my other new powders were just not satisfying me.
I was happily surprise that Light turned out to be a PERFECT match for me- even though it looks ridiculously light online- and is much lighter looking that all the other powders that I have previously worn (even though they, too were a perfect match).
I even tried medium when I was in the store a week after receiving Light in the mail- just to make sure....Light in indeed perfect for me. I have a medium skin tone.
Still wondering why so many people say this is "light" coverage- I find it to cover my flaws (I have plenty)- and I don't wear liquid foundation ever. I almost find I have to watch myself as I apply this more than many other powders.
Does this powder control shine all day? No. But I have oily skin and have yet to find one that does. I don't even want to think of what NASTY things would be in a powder that could truly control my shine all day.
I do what I can to help keep the shine at bay, but at the same time want to use only healthy products.
Cute (but different) compact case- would highly recommend trying this is you are looking for a "healthy" power!!

It is such great coverage for a powder. It may not last all day but because it is in such neat packaging you really don't mind pulling it out and reapplying.

I decided to go back to Bare Minerals. This product goes on a bit dry and looks less natural. I prefer Bare Minerals and Sheseido's compact to this product.

Always loved mineral powders, and this has ended my search for the perfect color for me. Most powders are either too yellow or olive or too pink for me. This powder is a nice neutral fair shade. coverage is rather sheer.

I love this mineral powder. First of all the color is just perfect for me. I have very fair skin, but I can't use most products because they're either too cool or not fair enough. The coverage is just enough and goes on smooth and silky. As the makeup sets, it gives my skin a glow throughout the day. Worth the money!

This powder is great. I apply it with a brush over my foundation. Gives a natural matte finish to my oily skin. When I'm in a rush I can even use this as a powder foundation when applied with the included sponge or kabuki brush.

The reason why I bought this pressed powder in the first place was because it's suppose to be good for your skin and it provides great coverage. I have some sun damage and oily skin. It works great with my Dior kabuki brush and then I would use a sponge to apply a second layer on areas I think need more coverage. I don't even need to reapply during the day because I use the Tarte Clean Slate, which works as a primer and it stays matte all day. I adore the packaging. Beautiful satin purple. My fave color! =D

Excellent product. I was looking for a compact mineral based powder (was tired of the bulky brush and case of bare essentials) and i LOVE this compact. It has great coverage and doesn't make me brake out (i have very oily sensitive skin) would recommend it to anyone. Cute, purple outer case is a plus as well.

The idea of this pressed powder is pretty cool and I think the case is very handy for on the go, however it didn't give me the coverage I wanted. I tried it with the sponge and with a brush and it did nothing for me. I also tried to layer it with other products to make it stick and stand out but still it only made my face blotchy. I think the color was wrong for me too so I decided to return it in the end. I'm sure some of the other Tarte products are great, just not this one, in my opinion.

Lately I haven't been able to find this in the Sephora stores, but I'm happy it's still available online. I love using this on days where I want lighter coverage or freshening up later in the day or after going to the gym. I used to breakout with traditional pressed powder. No breakouts with this! Also appreciate the additional SPF.
