Quick Take: oil-absorbing, reduces shine
This is a great everyday powder. And the effects last all day long. I love that Tarte products are non-toxic. I only wish that the packaging was more natural looking. I don't think the purple pleather is a good reflection of the type of product it is. Other Tarte products have a more natural look or wood packaging, and I prefer that. But- don't judge a book (or powder) by its cover.

It goes on nice and smooth and silky and lasts a couple hours before needing retouching. My skin is pretty oily in the tzone.

Another Amazing Tarte Product

I have loved the tarte brand for a while now and I was NOT disappointed by this powder. It applies evenly and stays fresh looking all day, none of the cakey mess, even in the heat! The packaging is super cute BUT it is also way easy to remove the pan from the compact. I highly recommend this powder to my friends and family. I am very pale and the first shade works wonders for me and my skin!

Quick Take: medium coverage, light weight, matte finish, smooth
I'm on my third compact of this and so far it's my favourite powder ever! It has decent coverage, I'd say medium. It certainly even out my skin tone more and I haven't noticed it breaking me out which is amazing because my skin hates everything. My only problem is that I don't feel like it's oil absorbing enough for summer time, so I find myself constantly blotting from the humidity. Beyond that it's a great product, not tested on animals, no smell really, and it feels nice and light on the skin, very silky.

Quick Take: reduces shine, sets your foundation
The tarte line of products was recommended to me by a store employee and she applied the amazonian clay foundation, concealer, and this powder to my face. I use this powder to set the rest of my foundation and to control shine. I love it, I think that it covers great and lasts all day. I had used bare minerals previously and I could never get the coverage I wanted and it never lasted as long as I wanted. Since using tarte I have had many compliments! I will continue to use this brand!

Mind blowing powder!

I have been using this powder for many years and always have had excellent results. It has great coverage and stays on all day. The picture may seem small or deceiving of product but it will last for daily usage at least four months. The powder goes on smooth, no glitter and stays true to color. My skin is oily and this does not block my pores, nor does it look cakey. Great to travel with.

I fell in love with this powder a couple years ago. It covers redness and light imperfections without being too light or feeling cakey, and is still the best powder I've ever tried. However, I'm also a big sucker for great packaging, and for me this product had it but not anymore. I guess it's just a new thing Tarte is going for, I don't know, but the new look of this compact is really not cute and definitely not as it still appears in the product photos.

This powder is very light and does not look nor feel cakey on my sensitive mixed skin. It tends to be a little bit darker than what you see on the pressed powder itself. But it's great when you are tanned and your regular powder does not look appropiate for your tanned skin.

this is a natural powder that supposedly does good to your skin, i love the color and i love that is natural, it gives me coverage i need and if i need thicker coverage i can put it over liquid foundation, so this powder itself doesn't give you this very think layer of coverage but it's fine with me, i love the fact its natural and it does give me what i need, i love it!

Quick Take: reduces shine
I like this press powder and use it either with the applicator that came with it or my kabuki brush. Overall finish is nice and hides shine all day with a good primer. A little too thick on the coverage so be wary of how you apply unless you want to look a little 'cakey'

This powder is ok, but it's nothing special. It's sheer, can be worn alone or as a setting powder. It has kind of a strange texture that's not real easy to blend, but you can make it work. Gives a natural finish, not real great at controlling oil. I'm not crazy about it.

My skin is pretty sensitive and very pale (what generally comes with strawberry blonde hair) and throughout my entire teen years I have had breakout problems. I wanted to put something healthy on my skin that would have good coverage for the redness on my face, but not break me out any further. I purchased this product over a year ago, in the fairest color it has, and it matches my skin perfectly and gives me flawless coverage and compared to other powder foundations I've used, it doesn't even look like I'm wearing foundation... Not Caky at all!. I also noticed that after I started using this Tarte product that the oiliness around my t-zone started to disappear. maybe it is a coincidence, but my skin definitely started looking better without makeup on. It's a little expensive for a 20 year old college student, but the money is well worth it. My skin loves this product!

I had to return this item to the Sephora store for an exchange because the metallic coating on the compact peeled & flaked off all over my hands every time I use the product. Exchanged for an alternative Tarte powder compact that does not do this.

I used this powder for the first time last weekend. I was outside all day and the powder lasted all day. It was sunny and I got sunburned all over but my face. When I look at pictures that were taken of me that day, I look like I have nothing on my skin. I looked good. My skin looked good. Even in bright sunlight, my face looked as if I had nothing on. This powder covered some of my acne blemishes and evened out the skin tone. I love this powder!

I was not that impressed with this powder. The coverage is really light and I'm not entirely a fan of it in general. I really wish I could return it. Honestly...I won't ever be buying this again. The sponge wasn't great and even using a brush it just went on my skin really light and made interesting coverage.

Smells funny and clogged my pores

This smelled really weird to me. Anyone else had the same problem? I also used it for couple of weeks to see how my skin reacted to it, but I started to break out all over my chin and side of my face. I feel like this powder clogged my pores and even when I washed my face multiple times, it just felt like the powder was still on my face. The coverage was also just okay. Definitely not a good purchase and would not buy again.
