I have developed sensitive skin and all the shower gels were making me itch maddeningly. I purchased this product and I am so happy with it. It is very gentle and has a beautiful floral scent with herbal undertones. It contains gentler detergents so it doesn't lather as nicely. It does lather and you'll be so pleased with it.

Quick Take: good for sensitive skin, good for black skin
I have sensitive and ethnic skin. I always have a reaction to harsh cleansers, more specifically dry, scaly skin, regardless of how I moisturize. This morning I used this shower gel and I followed up with the Caudalie Divine Oil, and I am VERY satisfied. I always have dry skin by the end of the day, but today I do not. Great pair!

Don't waste your money

Quick Take: not worth your money
Wanted to love it. Based on the reviews I was expecting paradise in a bottle. No lather is my first complaint. Okay, maybe I should have paid more attention to the fact that it is soap free. My next recollection is that the scent was so mild and fleeting it evaporated as soon as the water washed it down the drain. Not unlike the money I forked over for what would be considered a trial size portion for any other company. Finally, no external wash is going to "respect" and "restore" your skin's natural pH. Where do they come up with this stuff? Overhyped, overpriced and I'm sorry but I did not feel the "exclusive luxury" they promised.

Quick Take: fragrant, gives you soft skin, long lasting
I bought this for my sister because she received a sample of the perfume and fell in live with it! We both love the gel, but I do have to say that it doesn't smell EXACTLY like te perfume sample she got...I do have to say I was disappointed because of that but it still smells great! definitely a buy again! :)

Quick Take: fresh, refreshing
I love this body wash, I found it in France first and was so happy to see that Sephora offer it in the US. Great value for money and just beautiful to use. Caudalie actually make several "flavors" so I hope we get those here soon too! the citrus version, should it arrive here, is amazing.

It's a fairly pleasant body wash, but doesn't have a rich lather, and I feel like I have to go through a lot of it each time I shower. But it's also not as oily/thick as other body washes, which can be gross, and I like the fact that it's natural.

Subtle way to start your day

I LOVE this gel! It has a great subtle scent that reminds me of early on a summer morning and it doesn't clash with my perfume. If you want lots of suds, this is not for you. But it gets you clean and keeps your skin feeling great. I make sure to buy more way before I run out because I don't want to go back to regular soapy, heavily scented shower gels.

Quick Take: sulfate free
I purchased this because I wanted a sulfate-free (soap free) body wash. It works as intended, and as others have mentioned, it doesn't have the slick feel or lather that most people might associate with shower gels since it is soap free. That was fine with me. However, I found the fragrance to be really disappointing -- it's the same cheap "aloe vera" scent that you'll find in a 98-cent bottle of aloe vera gel for sunburns. As another reviewer mentioned, the cap also has issues closing all the way, so the bottle was leaking when it arrived in the mail. Returned it already.

love the scent!
in their old packaging the cap used to break after a couple of times you open it, now it seems better. it's not "lathery" since it has no soap in it. I still love it; use a little at their very end of my shower and the scent stays with me for hours!

This shower gel feels and smells amazing! I love using it. The only problem is that it doesn't lather very well, so it doesn't last very long. If they could make it foam more I would gladly buy this product over and over.

Quick Take: scented, gentle, left me feeling moisturized, all natural
...yes there's a BUT coming on but it's not super bad I promise lol. The but is that it doesn't foam enough for me :( hence why 1 star was taken off. I really wish it did then it would be totally perfect for me considering I love other Caudalie products, love the smell &love that it's all natural. Oh well I'll give it to my boys to try. If non-foaming doesn't matter to you then I say go for it though!
