This takes some work to get right.
At first I would try to apply this the same way I would BM foundation... Yikes. After a couple more tries, I got it down right.
I'm fairly light, and I'm a guy, so I generally try to get away with nobody noticing that I'm wearing makeup, while still making myself look the best that I can.
With Faux Tan, less is definitely more. I literally put maybe a couple specks of the powder onto the lid before I start applying with my brush, and all it takes is one or two swipes across each cheek, forehead, and chin, and that's it. At first I would go back to the powder for a couple more swipes, but don't. You need to apply BARELY ANY of this stuff, and then you won't come across as orange or baked, but with have a light healthy glow, without any sparkle or glimmer. Stays on pretty well too, and I use it over a light coverage of my BM foundation.
Girls could use this as a blush or eyeshadow, which is cool. For guys it also comes in handy to use along the underside and bottom of the jaw as a contour to make it look stronger.

it leaves your skin looking really orange, not pretty at all.
When you are applying this with a brush, it gives too much. and try to shake it off alittle, it gets everywhere, such a mess!!

Such a good bronzer. I got the smaller size that came with the starter kit, which I purchased over a year and a half ago. It's still going strong, as a little goes a long way! I use it on my cheeks, nose, forehead, chest--anywhere the sun hits. It is natural and gives you enough of a dewey glow.

This is the perfect matte bronzer that can go with almost any skin tone. I really like this because it looks natural. It has more of a red tone, so it does not come off orange or too fake looking. I am very fair, so I barely need any product for this to show up on my skin. This is will last a while! I use this for both contouring and for an all over bronze. It is very gentle on my skin and doesn't make me break out.

Ever since I started using this product, I haven't been able to go without it since. I use it for an all over color, like a bronzer or as blush. Either way, I love it! With this product, a little goes a long way. I've had so many compliments and it looks very natural. In fact, people have asked me if I've been tanning recently. I just ordered me another one today =)

I'm new to BE but someone left a jar of 'warmth' at my apartment in college so I gave it try. I'm about an NC 20-25 and warmth was waaaay to orange. But I read some reviews and people seemed to like faux tan a lot more so I decided to stop by sephora to check it out. The SA told me that warmth is better for darker skin tones, and faux tan is better for lighter skin tones, and she was right. On me, this looks absolutely stunning. It takes my face from flat to dimensional in minutes. I've gotten so many compliments while wearing this. At first I was a little nervous because I don't use loose powder much so I'm not a pro at applying it, but with big fluffy brush and a light hand, this looks flawless. As soon as I took this home, I moved my hoola bronzer into my back-up makeup drawer. Out with the old, in with the new!

Went in to Sephora and swatched literally a dozen different bronzers on my forearm and then chose the one that was least orange and most natural looking: Faux Tan! It has a beautiful bronzy color to it and none of the fake orangey tones that almost every other bronzer has. (Warmth was much more orange.) It also has a light shimmer that is not too sparkly, yet not matte, so it gives a nice glow to the skin.

I've been wearing Bare Minerals for years. When I bought my first starter kit, it came with the Warmth color, which made me look blotchy and odd, like a child who got into her mom's makeup. Then I discovered this product. It's wonderful and so easy. You only need a little bit, and it wakes up your face. It's the perfect year-round glow. It has no shimmer, so it looks very natural, but if you want to jazz it up, you can layer it with shimmery products. I've used it with gold eye shadow on my eyes, too! Love this stuff!

Used over tinted moisturizer and it is fantastic! Evens out my complexion and gives my skin a natural glow. Not fake looking at all and a little goes a long way, so even at $19.00 it is not a bad deal... It should last a long time!

Blush for Fair Skinned Girls.

Quick Take: easy to apply, versatile
For fair skinned girls, I would say using this as an all over color would be a no no (unless you're wanting to look like an oompa loompa). But, I found that it makes an amazing blush for my skin tone (I am very, very fair). It's not too shiny, nor is it too orange when used it moderation. Bronzers usually appear harsh and dirty on my skintone, but faux tan is the perfect bronze shade. As an avid BE fan, this formula delivered as expected. No breakouts or uneven coverage--just smooth, flawless color.
Sidenote: I know plenty of more olive skinned girls who LOVE this color to use as an all over color. It's very versatile.

I would not use this product all year round here in Chicago.. It is a bit more bold than "warmth"... You need to get pale in the winter! Does not feel heavy and does not run down your face when perspiring. My daughter took mine when her other bronzer ran out and now she buys this instead. Very natural looking. I always use sunscreen and this helps me feel like I have a healthy tan.
