I like to use a body oil for moisture AND in place of perfume so I was excited to order after reading many positive reviews. I liked the formula, I thought it would be thick and heavy but it absorbed very well. the scent was perfect, unfortunately for me, the scent did not last. If I wanted just a body oil and wasn't looking for a long lasting scent, this would be perfect.

Holy Grail Body Oil
-05.21.13
Quick Take: absorbs quickly, scented, rich
This is by far my favorite body oil out there. It feels so luxurious so I really just use it for the torso-up. But I'll continue to repurchase this as long as I have skin. It's a lot thicker than the Caudalie's Divine Oil and, in my opinion, more hydrating. It seems like sweet almonds, and quite different (and better) than L'Occitane's Almond Shower Oil. Love this!

Mmmm...almonds
-05.12.13
Quick Take: absorbs quickly, scented
Who knew this could smell so incredible...subtle but distinctive fragrance and the oil is not too heavy but does the job of keeping your dry skin soft. Recommend using just out of the shower - pre-towel for the best results.

Great scent, super soft skin
-05.09.13
I've been using the Almond Oil Soap for a while now to shave my legs (which is hands down the best thing I've ever shaved with) and finally purchased the Skin Oil to go with it. It's a great smelling oil - smells just like the oil soap. Makes my skin feel so soft and smooth. I have mixed a few pumps of this with an unscented lotion to help extend it a little and have found this is the best way to use it. 4 stars because while I think it's an okay value for the price, there isn't enough product to last more than about 6-8 weeks for me. Additionally, I think the dispenser portion could be greatly improved.

Not so special
-05.08.13
I enjoy many of the L'Occitane products, and I especially like those in the Almond line. However, this skin oil was a disappointment. It does not have the almond fragrance that the other products in that line have, and I can get the same skin softening with a bottle of baby oil from the drugstore. Without the scent, it's nothing special and thus way overpriced. And I'm writing this as someone who uses many of the other products in that line. Try the bath oil instead; that one's a winner.

Overwhelming Scent
-04.27.13
Quick Take: stinks
OK the oil did absorb really quickly and provided a nice layer of moisture. Not crazy intense or anything, but it's a quick drying lotion so no big surprise there. But the smell, Oh the smell... At first I was applying this and I was thinking "Oh this is so pleasant" and then the smell just stayed so intense even after drying that it quickly became unpleasant. It was in my mouth, in my throat. It was really awful. I was thinking about buying this but I had two small samples and I'm glad I didn't spend the money now.

Smells Delicious!
-04.14.13
Quick Take: scented, rich, moisturizing
I don't know about the claims to preserve elasticity in your skin, but this oil is great for a luxurious moisturizing .treatment. It takes a few minutes to sink into the skin, but it smells delicious and leaves my body soft and very smooth. I'd defintely recommend using this if you want very, very soft sweet-smelling skin.

Divine

Quick Take: rich
Love the subtle scent. My six year old son says it smells pretty. It absorbs well. I can't get it to spread as well on my dry skin so i think i inadvertently overdo it from time to time. I live in phoenix and it is super dry here and I can just use this without lotion. I am 7 months pregnant and it has made some of my old stretch marks look less angry! Wish someone would have told me about this earlier!! It has a luxurious feel to it.

So disappointing.
-04.02.13
Quick Take: scented, absorbs quickly, unpleasant scent
I will start by giving praise. If you are looking for a non greasy body oil to moisturize your skin after a shower, this is the perfect texture. However, the "subtle" scent that everyone in the previous reviews mentioned, isn't so subtle. Honestly, to me, it stinks. I have used L'Occitane in the past with no problems but I had an allergic reaction to this within 10 minutes of putting it on. Needless to say, this will be going back.

I bow down to this oil!
-03.25.13
Quick Take: absorbs quickly, scented, rich, superb quality, great for sensitive skin
I LOVE L'Occitane and have used their products in the past, and continue to do so, but I just recently tried this oil. I cannot tell you how well it absorbs (quickly), and leaves you feeling like your skin is super smooth and beyond hydrated. I love the faint fragrance, as it just smells "shower fresh," but it not overpowering. Great product that I truly think is worth the price. This also makes me feel ultra feminine when I use it right after my shower!

Best Moisturizing/Toning Oil Ever!
-03.02.13
Quick Take: scented, absorbs quickly
I originally purchased this because, although I wasn't pregnant, I had stretch marks on my chest and was looking for a less greasy oil. I can throw on my clothes 3 minutes after putting this on and never have to worry about staining. It's the best moisturizer, I use it year round- in cold weather, after a day at the beach, it really absorbs. Also, I've noticed a distinct improvement in former stretch marks and noticed my skin (especially chest and hips/thighs where I focus the most on) becoming tighter and firmer. Plus, every guy I know adores the scent, as do I... it's just subtle enough, but I keep wishing they made a spray scent in it! I do go through a bottle every month or so, but it's worth it, as it's my skin, and most oils/lotions clog my pores- not this one. Adore!!!

Smooth, supple skin
-02.27.13
Quick Take: rich, moisturizing, luxe, light scent, wonderful scent, great for dry skin
This is a wonderful body oil--it is pure luxe! I purchased it to combat dry, winter skin, and I immediately noticed an improvement. It leaves skin feeling soft and supple. The scent is stronger when initially pumping the oil, but after applying it, it leaves a lovely soft smell. My boyfriend always comments on how good I smell after I apply it.
The oil is not heavy but more in the mid-range in terms of viscosity. I find it takes several minutes to fully absorb. I put on only a robe after applying the oil and wait for it soak in for fear of damaging my clothes with oily residue. Though, it's well worth the wait.
I am now considering purchasing the Almond Bath Oil.

had to return
-02.18.13
Quick Take: scented, absorbs quickly, rich
I loved the oil itself. It smelled wonderful, and felt great on my skin. Sadly it was the pump itself that made me return this. This comes out in a straight line. I myself prefer a pump that is more of a spritz. Its easier to spread that way and it also wont leak down my skin before I get to spread it. I hope one day they change the way this product comes out of the pump. If they do ill for sure buy it again!

-02.13.13
this oil isn't too heavy, it is scented and smells very good but it is not overwhelming. it doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy at all, it feels very moisturized. this product is worth the investment. I will be purchasing again.

I like the scent of this oil. Absorbs better than baby-oil. Get more for the money, compared to a lot of other similar brand-name skin oils.
