One of my Go-To Tools!

I added this to my makeup bag after visitig a Sephora store and being shown haw to use it on brows with the brow gel or with a cream liner to make it stay put. Was surprised to find that it really works, making virtually any makeup waterproof and smudgeproof!

WORKS WONDERS! my one and only "primer"

Quick Take: waterproof, long wearing
After reading reviews on this product I had to try it and it was WORTH IT! Even being 20 bucks it lasts FOREVER! Just as others have said, do not directly put this on your make-up. I will assume it could ruin it..based on other reviewers. I put a small droplet on my hand and apply it to my eyelid..allow it to dry for approx 1 min and then apply my eye shadow, liner, etc. Lasts all day! I have also applied shadow before it was dry ("dry" will still have a sticky feel..but not wet) with great results as well..but to be safe and possibly not ruin your make up..wait till it's more dry. I don't recommend putting this directly on any brushes or applicators..I feel as though it could cause the same negative effects as some reviewers mentioned when they placed it in their eyeshadow..I will be buying this again!

Love this product! I actually use this product with my brow powder and it's wonderful! A couple of my lunch-hour exercise classes are high impact workouts, and I sweat a lot. No smudges or smear!

At first when I bought this product over a year ago, I had no clue how to use it. But then I pulled it out to use it with an eyeliner that was drying out. It made it more slick. This Aqua Seal saved me an eyeliner. Great Product!

This stuff is great for creating eyeliner out of eyeshadow which gives you nurmerous options and a less harsh line versus eyeliner pencils...I am not quite sure if it is as good as it's predecessor "Eye Seal" but it has been effective enough...Probably works best with wet/dry shadow but I have had good results with a specific inexpensive brush (thin and less porous)...Be sure when cleaning your brush and any vessel you use to deposit the product that you wash them first in a product that is used for removing waterproof eye make up...I follow this with a quick wash with liquid soap and water to keep both brush and vessel sterile and clean...If you do not use a product that is specifically used for water proof products, the stuff will dry like shellac and won't budge....Sounds like alot of work but easy enough when you get into a routine of it.

Best thing I EVER bought!
-04.17.13
I don't know what else to say other than I LOVE it! I have oily lids and spring allergies. Ever since I used this. Nothing goes anywhere until I use makeup remover to remove it. My eye liner won't smudge and my shadow stays fresh! This has to be a miracle! I use it with my brow liner, my eye liner and my eye shadow! I love it so much I even dropped some in my mascara! I've been looking for individual items that would last all day and nothing would hold up all day without even smudge a little. I found this and I can use it for anything! This just saved me from buying expensive but still not long lasting enough products! I can use any liner and make it last all day now! It's amazing!

not worth it!

I asked the sales woman if they carried any type of lipstick sealer. She recommended this. DOES NOT WORK! Did not do any sort of sealing and thinned out the lipstick and made it chunky on my lips. Total waste of money.

Quick Take: waterproof, long wearing
I wear mineral eye shadow and liner which is infamous for smearing and running. I use mineral makeup because I am allergic to most makeup products. I'd read that Aqua Seal was ok for people with sensitivities so I tried it. I was skeptical at first because the consistency of the liquid was not what I expected. It felt oily so I was doubtful it would be able to seal anything. After 12 hours of being outside all day I thought I would look like a raccoon for sure. When I looked in the mirror I almost couldn't believe it. My eyeliner and shadow were near perfect. There was a faint crease in my shadow which I was able to easily blend back into my eyelid, and my eyeliner looked as though I'd just put it on. I also used it with Tarte Pencil Eyeliner (great for sensitive eyes) and it stayed put all day and night. It does not work well, however, with the Kat Von D Eyeliner Pencil (major raccoon eyes with this one). So glad I found this product. It does not irritate my eyes or skin and feels weightless on. It's easy to apply with a q-tip and works well. Overall, Aqua Seal is awesome! I never want to be without it again.

Quick Take: waterproof, long wearing
I use Bobbi Brown long wearing gel eyeliner in black ink, and have been having trouble with it transferring/rubbing off onto my brown bone. I had Benefit She-laq a long time ago and wanted to replace it, so I went with Aqua Seal. I first tried to use it like I used to use She-laq - I used a couple drops on my brush to try and set my eyeliner. This totally did not work as Aqua Seal is oily or something, and it just smeared the line.
I had a concert today and decided to try again. I took the advice of other reviewers and used my finger to apply a small amount to my lid where the liner would go. That didn't really work (I still saw some smearing), but then I put a drop on the back of my hand, got some black shadow on my brush, dipped it in, then went over my gel eyeliner line. This set my eyeliner FOR REALS. I was sweating like crazy and my eyeliner did not budge. I am annoyed that it took so many steps/more than one other product (had to use shadow on top of my liner) to get this to work, but it srsly works really well. Bottom line: I wanted to avoid eyeliner transfer and smearing, and this did the trick; it's just not very easy to apply or work with.

Eye liner sealer
-03.17.13
This was my first make up for ever purchase and it didn't fit my needs exactly. To be candid, I was trying to replace a sealer from another brand that is discontinued. This worked ok but my eyeliner still migrated a bit. Perhaps more experimentation is required on my part.

Tried this with powder eyeshadow, turns all my colours into waterproof eyeliners! excellent. Will also try next the trick about using one drop as a primer over all the eyelid!

Passed the Sweat Test!
-03.12.13
Quick Take: waterproof, long wearing, doesn't budge, worth the price
After reading numerous reviews on this product and finally biting the bullet and purchasing it myself, I'm happy to say that it actually worked as promised!
I wanted something to make my eye makeup stay throughout the long (and incredibly sweaty) dance competition and comic convention days. I tried it on my Smashbox cream liner and that stuff didn't budge all day, even if I found myself accidentally rubbing my eyes - it still stayed put! (and I have incredibly oily eyelids, even with eyeshadow primer)
I'd say it's definitely worth the price, since you only need a tiny droplet on your brush each time; it'll probably last me a good number of years.
Just a note that if you've got it on your brush along with your chosen pigment and you make a mistake in drawing your line, water won't take it off - you'll need eye makeup remover even for little fixes (I find the MUFE one works quite well too).

EXCELLENT, INCREDIBLE PRODUCT!!
-03.12.13
I purchased this a while ago and I use it daily. As a result of LASIK eye surgery, my right eye tends to tear, so I was searching for something that could make my eye makeup truly waterproof without feeling weird.
I was initially concerned about the price, but a reviewer had mentioned that you just need a drop or two, and she was absolutely and thankfully correct.
I.do wish that I would've known initially how to apply it. I started off by putting a drop on my brush and then adding shadow to the brush and onto my eyes. This required a lot of brush maintenance, and even then most became stiff and ruined. Meanwhile the shadows themselves became hard and could only be used with a wet brush. :-(
After this trial-and-error I realized that I should apply the drop(s) to my lids using my finger tips, I then let it dry a little prior to applying shadows and/or liner. I basically wait for it to become tacky on my lid before the shadow brush gets involved. It's only maybe a 10-15 second pause.
I have found that my eye makeup can - literally - stay looking perfect all day and night. I was even bad one night and didn't remove my makeup only to be pleasently surprised by how good it even looked the next morning!
It's a great feeling to know that your makeup looks just as great at the end of the day as it had in the beginning :-)

Definitely does the job
-03.09.13
I have to say I am big fan of Benefit She-laq, but now that is discontinued! So I needed something that will replace and do the job, I came across this sealer, I use it mainly for my eyeliner, and it did make it stay especially on my big wedding day when i know the tears were going to be pouring out! Just make sure you apply it with a brush because it can smudge while you put it on, let it dry for at least a minute, then i usually put some powder over it to set it even more.

-03.05.13
I thought this would make my liners last longer, however it does not. I haven't tried it with powders yet, because it's hard to get a consistency that looks good.

Quick Take: waterproof, long wearing
I love lining my upper lid with a fine brush and powder and have been using water to help this process for years. I was tired of the flaking though and asked a sales associate for a suggestion and they steered me to this and I am very glad they did. A tiny drop on my brush transforms the powder into a malleable and lasting liner. Definitely worth the price.

Didnt work
-02.03.13
I may have used the product incorrectly so I'm not sure i can fairly and accurately assess the quality. Basically I put a few drops of it in my eyeshadow and mixed it around with an eyeliner brush. Then when I went to line my eye only a faint line appeared. When I mix the shadow with water I get awesome results. So I basically lined with water and then lined oversee it with just the aqua seal. I ended up with a few glue like bits on my eye lids. It was a mess.

It took me a few tries to get the consistency right for this product (a little goes a very long way), but it was worth the pay off. I love using it to transform my shadows into liners and it does intensify the pigment as well.

Eyebrow Waterproofer!!
-01.19.13
I use this over my eyebrow pencils to waterproof my eyebrows!! this stuff is amazing because I work out at least 6 times a week (mostly tennis but also running... etc) and I have barely there blonde eyebrows so I fill them in all the time! If I don't have this on my eyebrows they sweat off in 20 minutes. This makes them last ALL THROUGH A SWEATY 2 HOUR CLINIC!! love it!!!
