Amazing toner!! Almost turns back the clock- 01.09.10

I swear by this toner. Recently, I started having mini breakouts so decided to finally invest in a good toner. I must say, this Shiseido one does wonders!! Started noticing results just after a week of applying it regularly twice a day. My skin is soooo smoooth now and I feel younger and fresher.
Love the fact that it doesn't contain alcohol. I usually like to follow up with Philosophy's Hope in a Jar moisturiser.
Can't be happier. I hope they never stop making this.
I'm kind of a minimalist when it comes to my skincare regimen. That said, this is a must-have for me. I use it twice a day -- in the morning, and at night -- immediately after washing my face and patting it dry with a towel. I simply swipe it on all over my face with a cotton ball. I've used this for at least 4 years, and can't remember how long it took before I had noticeable results. Recently, I switched from using this to Shiseido's White Lucent toner, thinking it would be the same but with added brightening. Only a couple weeks later, my skin took a very noticeable turn for the worse -- much rougher in appearance and to the touch, with huge pores! I immediately went back to this softener, and the things I've been taking for granted about my skin these past several years all came back -- skin is soft and smooth to the touch, pores back to being virtually invisible. Since that episode, I've never given other toners a second glance. People with very oily skin might get away with using this and not needing a moisturizer. I have combo skin and the outer area of my cheeks can sometimes get a teense dry, so I usually follow this up with a very light moisturizer. As a final note, my skin generally does not have unprovoked breakouts, but there seem to be quite a few mystery ingredients in makeup/skincare products that can cause me to break out after a single use. This particular product has never given me any problems. Highly recommended.

A skincare staple!- 10.27.09

I have tried SEVERAL different toners and facial washes that include a toner or do not require a toner and was left unsatisfied. Usually, toners left a sticky-feeling film on my face or dried my skin so much that it was tight and uncomfortable. Shisido's Hydro-Balancing Softener is exactly what I have been looking for. It refreshes, hydrates, and (as the name suggests) softens the texture and feel of my skin. It is readily absorbed and I use it morning and night before my moisturizer. Since I started using it a few months ago, my skin is noticeably balanced (not dry in the morning and oily by the afternoon). I highly recommend this product!!
This product helps to keep my skin hydrated which is very crucial. My skin looks and feels younger and hydrated. It helps with my acne, I don't have huge break outs anymore. It really is a great product that keeps your skin healthy giving you a natural glow to keep you young!

I love this entire line by Shiseido, but most definitely can't live without this toner. It instantly puts the moisture after washing your face. It's like your skin just sucks it up in a way moisturizer can't. I use Shiseido's moisturizer over it and it keeps my skin moisturized all day.
You definitely have to use the right Shiseido product line for your skin though - I've used their other lines and it left my skin flaky. But this line is perfect for me!

I was using Chanel (and I've used Lancome, Clinique, and a plethora of store brands) for a toner, and while I liked it, I hated how it was an odd gel that was very awkward to use with cotton balls/pads. I decided to try the Shiseido color corrector and figured, I need a new toner, why not?
This does not make my skin feel gross, dry, tacky, sticky, or anything else that the other toners have done. It dries quickly and leaves my skin feeling soft. I really like this toner, it's the best I've used for my face and dry skin. I will definitely buy this again.

I have used Shiseido skincare products for more years than I can count. I have always loved the fact that they are all really gentle. This softener is alcohol free and it does a great job of adding moisture to your skin before moisturizing. Their products are also always fragrance-free which is great for picky people or people with sensitive skin.

I used to use this toner for a long time.... but then firgured out that it didn't function well with my sensitive skin. I felt that it dried me out by leaving me flaky. That said, I actually really liked the gel application feel of the product & that it did not feel heavy or sticky on the skin.
