still a fan of the 38 instead since i feel like it absorbs into my skin whereas the 50 just left a white film on top of my skin. and i'm asian so i'm semi-fair skinned and still noticed it so i'm switching back to the 38

Quick Take: greasy, does nto blend easily, white
Not a fan of this sunscreen for the face, which is oily. My face turned white and the sunscreen did not "sink" into my skin. Even after an hour, in which I then applied foundation, the sunscreen came off on my foundation sponge.

This sunscreen is easy to apply and leaves no greasy residue. It provides excellent protection and prevented sunburn under the strong south Florida sun!

I have combination skin that is very sensitive and I've been using this for over 3 years. It goes on pretty matt and absorbs immediately and it doesn't clog my pores or make my skin breakout at all. It has a nice smell, not the overwhelming sunscreen smells that you get from other brands.

Long-time user, now disappointed!

I'm not sure if they changed the formulation of sunscreen when they went from spf 60 to spf 50+, but something is definitely different. The other sunscreen was liquid, lightweight, and did not feel like it was sitting on your face, nor was it visible. i've tried 2 different bottles of the spf 50+ (one ordered online through sephora, and another from a shiseido kiosk) and both times the sunscreen has left me looking like casper. i've never had an issue with this sunscreen leaving a white, opaque hue before. sad to say that i used to use this brand and this particular line from them for years, but have now switched over to skinceuticals. i'm willing to try again, if they can fix their formula!

I guess it's ok...purchased this instead of the spf 55 cream and I'm not a fan of the liquid-y feel of this- or the ubiquitious shiseido fragrance. Going back to the cream once this on finishes up

I have light-to-medium skin with warm/yellow tones. This is an effective sunscreen with a pleasant smell, hydrating, non-oily — BUT it left a whitish cast no matter how much I tried to blend it in. I wanted a sunscreen that I could wear by itself AND wear as a layer underneath my makeup, but I couldn't really do either because my face looked markedly different with the sunscreen on. I'd specifically wanted to get this sunscreen because I thought it would be invisible, but my face just looked oddly pale and pinkish whenever I put it on, no matter how I applied my makeup. Unfortunately, I had to return it.

Love this stuff. Non-greasy, lightweight, doesn't give me acne (lots of products do!), doesn't give me the hot/flushed face effect that some sunscreens do. Makeup easily goes overtop. My uber-pale skin doesn't burn!

Excellent sunblock for serious sun exposure

I am so excited to find that Sephora has begun to offer this sunblock, as I had to order it from Japan (via Canada) for years. It is expensive but I burn extremely easily and would pay nearly any price for this product because of its effectiveness.
I spend 14 hours a day in the hay fields 7 days a week between May and October. This sunblock practically defies the Texas sun and 100°+ heat. The formula is not greasy, absorbs quickly into the skin for a matte finish, and causes a slight whitish cast, but I'm fair-skinned, so that aspect is acceptable to me.
Granted, I reapply the milky liquid 3 to 4 times a day, but it is the best way to remain outdoors all day and fight the sun, heat, dust and perspiration. My fair skin does get a little darker (without burning) over the summer, but that is to be expected.
The best compliment I have received occurred at the end of a long summer when one of my female hay customers asked me how I kept my skin so white.

I give this a 4/5 because it's good but not quite perfect. 1) I have moderately dry skin. This lotion by itself isn't moisturizing enough for me. I have to apply this on top of another moisturizer. If I use this without a separate moisturizer, it highlights and exaggerates my skin dryness. 2) It leaves a slight white mask on my untanned east Asian skin immediately after I apply it. The whiteness usually goes away within 30 minutes or so. 3) When I first purchased this bottle, I was worried that it was too small and wouldn't last long. The lotion is very runny so a little bit goes a long way. I only use this on my face and neck, and after 2 months of almost daily use, I can't tell how much is left but my bottle is still quite heavy.

works good to prime ! Didnt spot a fragrance which is great for my sensitive skin. best thing about this product is its non greasy worst I'd say the white outcast it leaves if you over use product other than that best screen I've used

its lightweight, non sticky, matte feel, so do wear your moisturizer before this sunblock.
