I used this powder foundation years ago and then started to use mineral makeup...but...hate the mess with minerals so I finally gave up and went back to Shiseido after trying out a few other powder foundations (Clinique, Stilla) and it is still every bit as good as I remember it! If I want a little more coverage I use it damp but for everyday, dry gives great coverage. Very soft matte finish without looking dry or cakey.
I love all Shisedo foundations and this one is a great touch and go one, i love it. The colors are great, i like the more yellow based ones, so i use 040 which is great on my skin. Feels like you have nothing on.
I thought this was a decent powedery foundation. i usually use this on top of my clinque supefit foundation and it works really nicely. It's matted but leaves my skin looking flawless and natural at the same time. Does not feel heavy and helps with shine. I did not need to touch up unless i sweat a lot.

Quick Take: buildable coverage, natural finish
This was exaclty what I needed - smooth, even coverage (when applied with a brush) that looked very natural, but still smoothed out the blochyness in my skin.
I have been using this for 3 years now and I absolutely love it. I have pinkish skin tones all the other foundation that I've tried just make my skin look yellow. This foundation goes on even and makes my face look a bit tanner, which is always great. Plus it has SPF protection, which many others don't have.

Great summer foundation- 05.02.09

I have very fair skin. Most companies do not carry a foundation light enough to match my skin. This does! I still have oily skin in the summer at 38. This powder foundation lasts at least half the day before a hint of shine shows through. The great part is you can reapply without streaks. Another plus, refills come with a new sponge. I use Bare Minerals in the fall/winter (it stings my skin if I sweat). I can't use Shisedo Powdery Foundation in the fall/winter because my skin isn't oily enough in the winter. This powder is not for those with normal or dry skin, beware you will look like an alligator. For those with combo/oily, it's wonderful.

I have been using this product for years. For myself, I use it over my concealer around my eyes because I have very dark circles. It really helps smooth things out and blends beautifully.

Prefer the liquid foundation- 04.13.09

I bought this intially because I was in the old school of thought that younger women should wear powder because it is less heavy. I found this Powdery Foundation to be dry and cakey, even when I apply it with water. I loved the color, so I switched to the liquid foundation and I love it. It does not make my skin dry or cakey.

This is a great product, but maybe it's just me but it seem to show after two hours or so.
I have been using this product for over ten years. I've tried other powders and have always returned to this one. It has a nice finish and lasts a long time.

it's a good foundation if you have to cover up dark marks around your face in a hurry
This is great for a quick make up application when you are in a rush or during the weekend when you want just some coverage. IDon't get me wrong, it provides great coverage especially after layering. I use it for my undereye powder after liquid concealer and to set my make-up around my nose. Or, alone when I just don't want to walk out my apartment with a bare face. I still use liquid make-up but will continue to buy this as alternative. Great for combination skin.
I would recommend this to anyone, especially if those that like powder vs liquid~! I have been using this for many, many years and haven't found anything comparable!
