Oil-controlling with a flawless finish- 03.07.10

I have used so many different foundations and I feel that I can say that I found the best one for me. I used Shiseido many years ago but I switched to MAC after they brought the line to my city. I found that MAC was good but I noticed that I had to re-touch more often. I used so many different foundations that just did not work so I kept going back to MAC until I got fed up and I tried Shiseido again and I fell in love again. I have oily skin with oversized pores so I cannot use any liquid foundation or at least I have not found one that works for me. Having rediscovered Shiseido was great for me.

THE powder foundation!- 02.27.10

I absolutely love this powder foundation! It gives great coverage without looking cakey or layered. Gives you a fresh, matte, natural look, and you won't have to reapply it all day long. I have very oily skin, and it does an awesome job in controlling the oil. I usually have to blot my face about 3 times a day; when i use this powder foundation, i barely have to blot once, if at all. The case is convenient too. The sponge has its separate place in the case, so the powder doesn't absorb oils from having the sponge sitting directly on it. If you like the matte look, this is definitely worth trying.
I have been using Shiseido for over 5 years and love the way it goes on so smoothly. It always looks good and I am told my skin looks smooth. I use this powder over the Shiseido liquid foundations. I recommend this for anyone. I have medium coloring and am in my 60's!

I always use one shade darker than my natural skin color and it makes my skin look like having natural suntan and glowing. It always has natural and smooth finish. I would say this is the best than any other brand I tried.
I have been using this product and shiseido for several years now. I love the powdery foundation. I have Fair combo skin and this works great! I use it alone or with foundation and it give great coverage. I get a lot of compliments about my smooth skin when i wear this, just to note i have a lot of scars on my face and it covers them very well.

Not enough color choices- 02.19.10
I've been wearing Prescriptives foundations for a while now, but since they're going out of business, I needed to find something new. Even the lightest color and a small amount of this foundation was way too dark for my fair skin, and it did not provide a "velvety matte finish." I tried it with and without primer with the same oily, blotchy-looking effect after an hour or so. I have oily skin, so I need something that will keep the oiliness at bay. This product just didn't work for me.

My Favorite Foundation- 02.05.10
Quick Take: buildable coverage, natural finish
My skin is combination and a little bit sensitive. This powder can cover minor blemishes and look natural at the same time. It keeps my t-zone from shining for several hours, and it only takes one touch-up in the afternoon to look fresh all day. It's the best foundation I've ever used. Hope Shiseido will offer higher SPF version in the future.

I HAVE TRIED ALOT OF POWDER FOUNDATIONS AND HAVE BEEN GREATLY DISSAPOINTED BECAUSE THEY USUALLY GAVE ME GOOD COVERAGE BUT CLOGGED PORES - OR - THEY WOULD EVENTUALLY DISSAPPEAR INTO MY OILY SKIN...WELL I REMEMBER A CLIENT OF MINE MENTIONED TO ME THAT SHE REALLY LIKED SHISEIDO PRODUCTS AND AFTER TRYING EVERY MAKE UP COUNTER AT MACYS I FINALLY THOUGHT I SHOULD TRY THIS. GLAD I DID! I HAVE OILY COMBO SKIN SO IF I PUT THIS ON DRY I END UP WITH LITTLE DRY PATCHES HERE AND THERE BUT IT WORKS WONDERFUL WHEN APPLIED WITH WET SPONGE. I USUALLY SPRAY MY CLINIQUE SPRITZ MOIST. ON SPONGE AND APPLY...I LOVE THE COVERAGE...AND IT STILL HELPS WITH OILINESS AND MY LITTLE RY PATCHES. I LOVE THIS FOUNDATION!

Wet or Dry usage is perfect for different coverage, whether it's light or medium. It looks flawless and natural, not cakey or powdery like most of the powders on the market. I love the matte finish and spf protection.
I am a huge fan of Shiseido foundation! I use the liquid foundation and sometimes I even cover it up with this Powder foundation to set it with a dome brush. It gives me flawless skin tone and looks so smooth! The shades by Shiseido are wonderful because I have a golden tone to my skin and they carry such shades. You will not be disappointed in any Shiseido product!

I have now changed my powder/ compact after 15 years of using clinique! This product gives a beautiful finish. i recommend patting with a puff, and not smoothing it on with the sponge it comes with.
I love this stuff. I usually hate the way foundations feel on my face, but this does not feel heavy at all. It goes on very smooth either wet or dry. It lasts long, but if I do need to reapply it later in the day, it doesn't feel like I'm caking on an extra layer.
I used this foundation years and years ago and then went over to mineral makeup -which was all the craze. I loved mineral makeup except it was messy and during the summer, it was very difficult to apply. Anyway, I went back to Shiseido and am so happy I did. I apply it dry and it gives the most natural, velvety, smooth coverage of anything I've tried (and I've tried quite a few!) At my age (54), I don't want anything that's going to look mask-like or cakey and this foundation does neither.It goes on smooth and has a lovely velvet finish. I've also used it with a damp sponge and love the little extra coverage it gives.
I used this powder foundation years ago and then started to use mineral makeup...but...hate the mess with minerals so I finally gave up and went back to Shiseido after trying out a few other powder foundations (Clinique, Stilla) and it is still every bit as good as I remember it! If I want a little more coverage I use it damp but for everyday, dry gives great coverage. Very soft matte finish without looking dry or cakey.
