Fantastic product, nothing else like it.
-05.15.13
Quick Take: long wearing, brightening, color-correcting, worth every penny
I love this product. It's amazing if you have moderate redness to correct. It's also great to mix in with makeup to change the undertone of your product like if it's too pink for you, it's good to mix this in to get a more yellow based product. The tone is a pale yellow with the tiniest hint of green. It brightens my complexion and moderately fills in pores and helps prolong the wear of my makeup. The formula is also very mild and great for sensitive skin. I highly highly recommend it, there's really nothing quite like it!

Hides Redness Well
-04.01.11
Quick Take: long wearing, easy to blend, great for sensitive skin
This product hides redness well and even outs the skin tone without being as heavy and sticky as regular concealer. That said, it also doesn't give as much coverage as a regular concealer. If you are simple looking for a product to balance out the skin tone and tone down flaws it is great. But for full coverage, you are still going to have to use concealer.

Great corrector
-03.27.09
Quick Take: oil-free, cream to powder, light weight, smooth
I love the light feel and texture. I have blotchy skin so this stick stays in my bag. With an SPF I even use it all over.

Concealer works better...
-01.16.09
I usually love Shiseido makeup, but this color-correcting stick was very dissatisfying and a let down to me. It is hard to blend and I think it's much easier to use concealer to cover up redness or any other discolorations and cover with foundation. The color of this stick is hard to get blended to the point that it doesn't show underneath my foundation. This was one very disappointing product in my opinion...

Works for me
-01.10.09
Quick Take: oil-free, cream to powder
I have a lot of redness and scaring on my face/chin from acne...and it doesn't help it's always freezing cold up here in Alaska.
This looks like it goes on thickly, I used my fingers to blend the corrector under my eyes, around my entire nose, and my chin. After blending it wasn't extremely thick but I figured I'd go with it.
I put my foundation on followed by my setting powder and I noticed that the darkness and redness was almost if not completely gone after I finished my makeup.
This is a corrector that is meant to be layered and not really left alone from what I can see.
I really like the texture and how easily this blended. I am seriously considering buying the stick foundation once mine is out.
I would highly recommend this as a corrector to be used in junction with foundation/powder and a concealer (if desired).
If you're looking for a quick easy fix without a little extra work, I wouldn't recommend it unless you have very light redness.

Don't waste your money!
-10.14.08
I was very disappointed with this product since I usually like Shiseido. The actual color of the product is a light green/off white. The green is meant to counteract redness, as it does. It's not the way the product works that I can't stand, it's the consistency and formula of the product that I can't stand. It's so thin that when I try to rub it in or spread it out it disappears and ends up not covering the redness I'm trying to conceal. If it was more matte, I'd probably like this product. It's too thin and completely rubs off when you try to blend it in. Not worth the money! Very disappointing! Sorry!

This is definitely a color-corrector, but I never used it with above-average success; personally, I prefer plain concealer.

The corrector is great for anyone with oily skin. The formula can make dry skin look scaley and flaky. I recommend this for only fair-light-medium skin tones because the yellow-green formula can make dark skin tones extremely pale. Other than that, great product for under foundation or as a replacement for foundation.

So close to perfect
-09.25.08
Quick Take: color-correcting
For those of us in a niche market for face makeup (pale skin with lots of redness in areas), this is a godsend. The color looks yellowy-green, but it comes out as an almost perfect match on my skin. And it covers the red. The only problem I had with it is that (being a thick cream stick) it was a bit cakey at times. Perhaps this was due to my method of application, which was to swipe it on and blend with my fingertips. Maybe using a brush or Beautyblender would help it look less artificial.

Perfect product for redness!!!
-09.11.08
Quick Take: long wearing, color correcting
This product was designed to counteract redness on the skin, and it does a very good job at doing so. It's unlike any other redness concealer, however, in that it is not just green or just yellow... It is a combination of both colors. If you look at a color wheel, green is a complementary color of red, and when both colors are layered on the skin together, they cancel each other out. (This is also true for yellow canceling out purple-y undereye circles, and orange canceling out blue toned bruise marks, etc) However, there is a flaw with this method of concealing redness, and I believe Shiseido picked up on that problem by creating the Color Control stick. Often, green correctors will leave your skin quite pale, albiet free of redness, making it manditory to wear foundation over it to bring back your natural skin color. (perhaps pale people don't find this to be a problem, but darker skintones will). Buy putting yellow into this product, they make it much more natural and wearable without foundation. If you have no acne marks or sun spots to conceal, all you need after this product will be a light dusting of translucent powder to set the makeup. You will not require foundation.
I think one of the best aspects of this foundation is that because it cancels out redness, you don't really need to build it up to cover the redness, like you would with many foundations. This helps the product (in the package) last longer than other stick foundation products.
The way I wear this product is by using it as my first makeup product on my cheeks where I have redness. Then I apply Shiseido's Powdery foundation over it and over the rest of my face to even out my skintone on my forehead, etc.
How to use: Apply by "drawing" over any red areas with the stick. Then, blend into skin with fingers or foundation brush. You can also pick up product directly from the stick with a brush, then apply and blend. If applying product onto someone else, slice a thin amount into a separate container, then apply product from there using a foundation brush.
Random: This product works extremely well at covering any pink marks left over by old zits.
