Quick Take: buildable coverage
I really like this foundation. Ive been wearing Estee Lauders Doubel Wear (their max. coverage) and was tired of always looking cakey & like I had on a pound. I tried this, order two to make sure I had the right color. LOVE IT. it gives me the coverage I like but its very light and not heavy on my skin. Doesnt break me out and a little goes a long ways. This summer will determine if its a 110% keeper as I live in the south and the humidity makes or breaks foundation. Def order two to make sure you get the perfect color. I got lucky and mine ended up being my summer and winter colors.

Quick Take: good for oily skin
I have very extreme combination, acne-prone skin so finding the right foundation is difficult. I'd heard great things about this foundation and love Shiseido but unfortunately, it didn't work out so well.
The foundation covered nicely and was long-wearing in the areas of my skin that become most oily (nose/cheeks, chin) but in the areas where I am consistently very dry (forehead, temples) it looks cakey and eventually showed every line and pore possible.
Perhaps for somebody with less extreme combination-dry disparity it could be great; it goes on easily (very little goes a long ways) and can look very pleasant.

I always end up coming back to this foundation, it is a great product and fairly priced.
They have the best shades for yellow undertones.
I use a foundation brush to apply it and it blends on skin smoothly giving a very natural and even finish
It has the perfect amount of moisturizer; it doesn’t get shiny but gives a very healthy luminosity to skin
Keep in mind this gives light to medium coverage, although it’s consistency allows to layer, I would not recommend it if you need/want/like a lot of coverage

This foundation works great, I apply it with a sephora foundation brush and then dust my skin afterwards with bare minerals translucent pressed power. Because of this I've gotten lots of compliments on how nice my skin is.

I always go back to this foundation after thinking I should try something always--but no, this one never fails me. My combo/oily skin just loves it. Dual-balancing really accurately describes this product, it keeps my oily zones under control and never gives me dry patches. It is extremely gentle and scentless and never breaks me out.
COVERAGE:
It just melts into my skin and looks so natural. I usually only need a tiny bit and it's sufficient for a dewy, natural look yet covering the redness and flaws. I sometimes layer it on a bit more in the evenings before I go out.

This is the BEST foundation I have ever used I've had a hard time finding a right foundation that didn't dry out my face and this foundation did none of that. I have a dark skin down so i wasn't so sure on buying it but I'm glad I did I love SHISEIDO

It does have nice coverage but I think it is a little to thick & heavy you don't need to use much I use my primer & moisturizer to thin it up a little but over all has good coverage & works well if u have dry to combo skin which I do ecspecially in the winter but if u don't like ur foundation thick this may not be 4 u

I've used this foundation for years... I absolutely love it, and there's nothing else like it. It gives me great coverage, and at the same time, people don't even know I have any on! Perfect color match as well!!! Love Shiseido!

Ok. I can't keep track of how many foundations I've tried in the past 30 years...some crazy expensive ones too. Sure, many of them were good..but something was missing. And when I would find a formula that was perfect...I couldn't find a shade match. I have combo skin, w/large pores & some rosacea on my cheeks. This foundation has just the right coverage. It gives a clean matte-ish look without giving that "dead' flat look to skin. I use a damp sponge to blend, & you do need to make the effort to blend this. But once done, it looks beautiful and lasts. Is this for very oily skins? No. I have med/light skin & the B40 works well for me, giving my pale-ish skin a bit of color, while looking natural. A lot of women make the mistake of using a heavy or too much moisturizer under foundations....this will ruin you foundation & it won't last. Use a silicone free primer. If you're very dry, use a very lite moisturizer and let it dry before you put on foundation. I use this amazing primer/moisturizer combo that I found a year ago called "Heir Atelier", (google it), & it works amazing w/this foundation & saves me several steps.

My mom introduced this line to me after she saw my grandmother use it. Both used their makeup (loose powder, blush powder). I absolutely love this lightweight LONG-lasting coverage without looking like you have makeup on. No one can ever tell that I'm wearing makeup and everyone always comments on my clear skin and I know it's because I used a bit of moisturizer and then seconds later put two or three drops of this foundation and it really does it! Oil-free is a HUGE benefit for those concerned with acne in their t-zone area (although I don't wear it on my forehead where I get most acne and just put some powder there). I will be a LIFE-long user of this foundation. If you are not into make-up, try their tinted moisturizer which I love and use in the summertime.

I have very very oily skin year round and this foundation didn't do much to control shine through out the day. This foundation ended up "sliding off" my face within the first 2 hours and by the end of the day (think 10 hours of school & work), all my foundation has gone away. I also noticed that it made my skin much more shinier. I would not repurchase this product again =/

I used it in my 20s and find a a bit too moisturizing with my combo skin. Since then I search for a perfect foundation and find nothing. Now in my 30s, I know how to care for my skin type better and find this foundation is still the best. 040 matches my second like a second skin. It is not heavy and looks great under any light better than UD Naked. I love that there is SPF as well. All in all, it is the best foundation I use. I still have shiny/oil on my nose but I haven't find ANY foundation that I don't have this problem.

I have been using this foundation for 2 years. I first discovered this foundation at Nordstroms. Luckily I had a sales person who really knew the product and was able to match my skin tone and needs. She found the perfect color and it gave the look I wanted - natural. I have an olive complexion with freckles and this is not an easy combination to match. I love this product and will continue to use it.

This foundation looks great on me. I really like it. My skin gets a little oily if I use too much of it, or if I wear it everyday. So I limit my use of it and it looks great. Doesn't crease, and looks very natural and makes my skin look flawless.
