I tried this, because a sales rep suggested I'd use it with my clarosonic since I'm prone to a oily Tzone. Well verdict is I used it for only 4 days and didn't see a difference at all. I simply had to return it and I'm still on the quest for the perfect cleanser.

Quick Take: easy to use
Found it-my all time favorite cleanser. Takes off all my makeup, and doesn't leave me feeling tight and dried out afterwards. Definitely helps control breakouts. In fact, now that I think about it, I haven't broken out for weeks now! For the record, I have light combination skin that gets dryer in the winter/oilier in the summer. I also love that you get a good amount of product here-great bang for your buck. And the pump is super easy to use, so you can control exactly how much you want. (I use an extra half-pump at night to help remove my makeup.) With my Clarisonic and Fresh Soy Moisturizer, I have perfected my skin care regime!

I have been using other REN products now for over a year & was looking for another facewash that may work well for me during the summer months when I tend to get a little oilier. So far, this has been great! It's a light gel but still makes my skin feel clean and not dry when done. It doesn't leave my skin with a 'filmy' feel & doesn't seem to strip it of it's moisture. I really like this product & would recommend it for T-Zone oil.

I can't write say enough good things about this cleanser. I've been using it for almost 2 years and my skin has never looked better. Whenever I stop using for whatever reason, my pores begin to clog and I break out a little. This is gentle and effective and I will continue to use nothing else on my face. Unfortunately, my local Sephora no longer carries is and I have to order on-line (with the added shipping expense), but it is still worth it because of what it does to my skin.

Quick Take: efficient, gel-based, low fragrance
I like this product very much. I'm not over the moon, but it is the cleanser I use for a reason. IF you want a highly perfumed cleanser, this isn't it. There is very low fragrance, it doesn't foam at all etc. However, I feel that it is gentle for my breakout-prone, sensitive skin, that it diminishes oil without mercilessly stripping it. This is functional. I feel that it discourages breakouts, leaves skin feeling smooth--not tight or dry. If you have sensitive skin on the side of oily, this is a good choice, I believe.

It dried my skin!

Before I purchased the big bottle, I had a sample of it. The cleanser itself smells a bit odd and the gel was okay. However after a week of using it, it dried my skin. I continued to use it to see if it will help with my acne but it did not clear up even after I used the whole bottle. So it was not that effective as I wished.

If you use a makeup remover first and/or want something gentle for the morning, this is a nice but expensive and scented choice. But if you actually expect it to clean something as opposed to just smearing your makeup (I wear a non-waterproof mascara, pencil eyeliner and liquid foundation) find something else. A toner removes more than this does.

Quick Take: gel-like
A saleslady suggested this cleanser when I asked for a cleanser good for oily skin, not foamy, and with as few chemicals as possible. This is the most I have ever spent on a face wash but I am glad I did. I LOVE it! I have pretty oily skin-two hours after washing my nose will start to glow and depending on the products I use that day my entire face becomes slick. I think the lack of chemicals in this product is really helping my skin. I glow after I use it, my skin doesn't feel tight and sometimes I forget to use a moisturizer after it because my skin feels great without it. It is controlling the oil so now I feel confident in trying to wear other makeup products over it to see if the oiliness will be held at bay even when I use foundation.

I have oily skin and always on the constant search for new cleansers and this one is the best! I love how it is all natural and it cleans my skin nicely and softly without leaving a residue! I absolutely love it and recommend it!

I've been using this cleanser for a few weeks and I really like it. It foams slightly and does not overdry the skin. Its such a gentle formula. I am not sure if it is reducing oiliness as I have very oily skin, but this may change after further use. I will definitely be repurchasing this product

I switched to this after using Fresh Soy Face Cleanser for a while. My skin is oily in the t-zone and I breakout on my chin area. After two weeks of using it, my breakouts are still the same. My oiliness has decreased a little but I'm going to stick with it till I finish the bottle as it is packed with great ingredients and I'd like to go through an entire hormonal cycle to see how my skin is next month.
My skin feels softer after using this as I don't think it strips as much as the Fresh but it still seems to take off my makeup well.

Gentle, effective, and non-irritating

i have been using this cleanser for an entire year now. I've purchased and used up 2, and am on my third bottle right now. This product works amazingly with my Clarisonic Mia (I only use it with the mia). This cleanser is not overly fragrant. I normally dispense about a half to full pump onto my clarisonic depending on how much cleansing I need. (I don't use this to remove makeup, I use a seperate m-u remover from Clinique, then I cleanse w/ this). I have oily, acne prone skin and I feel that this product, used w/ the clarisonic, works great to combat that. I usually tone after I cleanse, but when I don't my skin still feels excellent, with no residue left behind. Cleansed, but not bone dry. The packaging is very functional as it ensures that you are able to use every last bit of this product up. It is pricey at $32, and can go quickly if used 2x/day, I normally use every night, and I use another cleaser from Ren in the mornings...

Quick Take: foamy, light, clean, love the smell
The first time I've used this, my skin felt healthier and cleaner (must be the bioactives), as compared to my old cleanser that had more synthetics in it.
Considering my skin is combination with large pores and prone to breakouts, this has helped in removing all my makeup at the end of the day. I double cleanse though, cleanse first using my hands, rinse, and then get in there with my clarisonic using the same cleanser. My skin feels clean and smooth after, but not dried out.
I'm not too sure about the balancing it claims, probably also because that depends on the moisturizer i use after, and the makeup I use during the day. But if I don't wear makeup, my skin feels normal after this.
But overall..my favourite product from my favourite skincare line. It feels clean, luxurious, light, and smells delicious. I'm already on my second bottle and I don't see myself quitting it anytime soon <3

My skin is combination, sensitive, and acne-prone. Pros: did not aggravate my acne, rinses clean without leaving a residue, nice light low-lathering gel texture.
Cons: too drying, not worth the price tag.
Overall, it did not improve my acne and was too drying (perhaps it would be a good choice for oilier skin types). I think for the price, there are better options available. It seems Ren products are just not for me.

I love REN's clean products, and I found this gel removes makeup better than the cream cleanser they carry. I know people say use a remover first and then wash, but frankly the less steps the better. It also doesn't dry my face out and it really does leave it feeling balanced like the name says

This cleanser is comparable to Fresh's soy facial cleanser but it's organic. I have combination skin and can feel greasy at some areas and dry in others. Even though this cleanser is gently enough for the dry areas, it still feels like it dissolves the grease. I also use it with my Clairsonic
