So calming...
-05.11.13
Quick Take: milky
My skin has gone through so many changes in my mid-twenties, instead of gel cleansers and serums it is craving 'milk' based cleansers and richer creams... I'm aging I guess! I've tried a few different REN products and I've been happy with all of them, this cleanser is so gentle and is perfect for super sensitive skin.
I use it along with the Sephora Silicone Pore Cleansing Pad, with a little lukewarm water and a very gentle pat of my facial towel after. LOVE!

Super gentle and effective!
-04.27.13
Quick Take: milky, gentle, moisturizing
I love this cleanser. Great herbal scent that quickly fades, very gentle and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight. This really helped calm my skin down. I have sensitive acne- and rosacea-prone skin that is also dehydrated, and this is one of the few cleansers that hits the perfect balance for my skin of not stripping it, and still leaving it feeling fresh and clean.

Didn't do much
-04.21.13
With sensitive skin, I thought this would be perfect. It didn't seem to work at all. My skin still felt dirty and had a few breakouts with using this.

Gentle and hydrating!
-04.10.13
Quick Take: milky, gentle
I am on a mission for sulfate-free cleansers for face and body. This cleanser is super gentle, cleans well, and hydrates! My skin almost always feels dry after any cleanser and this one is MUCH more hydrating. Probably because there are no sulfates, therefore it doesn't lather like sulfate filled soap, therefore it doesn't strip away oils and leave you dried out. IT'S A GREAT PRODUCT!

Not for me
-04.08.13
Quick Take: milky
I would like to first say that I have super sensitive skin and only cleanse my skin with coconut oil (and use the REN glycol lactic exfoliating mask once per week). However, I decided to purchase a Clarisonic Mia 2 to try to make my skin look even better than it already did. So, I needed to purchase a gentle cleanser to use with the Clarisonic (since I couldn't use my coconut oil with it). After disastrous results with the Clarisonic, I no longer have need for a facial cleanser. So I will have to return this product. I will say that it has a lovely clean scent, though. And I enjoy other products from the REN line.

very calming and milky
-03.26.13
Quick Take: milky, thick, softening, cooling sensation, calming
im a smoker and my skin is very dry with acne on cheeks and chin. this cleanser is very thick and rich. it has a cooling sensation which feels really good for fatigued skin. keeps skin extremely soft. i like how is has a lot of ingredients like coconut and chamomile. hydrating and soothing ingredients. coconut is soooo good for your skin and hair. and chamomile calm aggrivated, red skin. i really do like it. i read other reviews and some said the smell was nice and one said it didnt smell that good. i think it smells ok. smelled a little weird to me. but i do like the effectivness.:) not sure if ill purchase again. we will see.

Pretty good, not great
-03.26.13
I have acne prone skin, but it is also sensitive, so I figured I would try this instead of the acne cleansers I had been using that dry out my face. At first, I liked it a lot, and noticed a difference in my face. It was soft, not overly red or oily. But like most products for me, the results have platoughed after three weeks using it. Still breaking out in places, still dry in places. Also, it sometimes feels like the cleanser hasn't entirely washed off. I am keeping it, because, like I said, nothing really works, and at least my face is isn't overly dry.

extra gentle
-03.25.13
Quick Take: milky, gentle, natural, herbal smell
This cleanser is one of the best. My skin gets dry and upset after chemical exfoliation. This is the gentlest product I know. Smells herbal, milky formula. Calms my skin down, gets rid of redness, does not dry my face out. This cleanser is not foamy and does not remove a makeup ... so if you are looking for that type of product, then his one is not for you. Otherwise do yourself a favor and use a makeup remover. I use my favorite Shu Uemura cleansing oil. So far they both work the best.

Like a spa outing!
-03.23.13
Quick Take: foamy, milky
I use the Hydra-Calm Cleansing Milk alongside my Clarisonic Mia 2 and it works fantastic. Creamy, milky, lightly fragranced and has been easy on my sensitive skin. I've been battling acne from age 22-30 and this hasn't broken me out. I've been using it twice a day and barely used any product. A little bit lathers up real well. Also love that its free of parabens and junk and they don't do animal testing!

Milk cleanser convert
-03.20.13
Quick Take: milky, light fragranced, luxurious
I have acne prone skin, with a tendency to get congested very easily. I'm always looking for cleansers that will cleanse effectively, yet not dry out my skin. This milk cleanser definitely does that. My skin has never been happier! If you find that this does not remove your makeup effectively, try double cleansing. I use my hands to massage this on my wet face to loosen the makeup and remove the superficial dirt and rinse quickly, then I go in with my clarisonic and cleanse again to a really deep clean.
I only double cleanse at night though when I get home after a day of full face makeup. In the mornings I only cleanse once with my clarisonic.
This is a beautiful product. Feels so good on my skin, and has helped make it the best skin I've had in my 20s so far, along with the HydraCalm day cream of the same line. I used to use the Mayblossom Tzone gel cleanser, but found that it dried my skin out. My skin feels balanced and normal after using this instead. It also feels soft, and has become smoother and definitely calmed my redness down.
...I'm convinced...might try the frankincense night cream to round out my skincare routine...

My 4th time repurchasing this. This is far far best cleanser ever. My skin no longer breaking out, no longer need foundation, no longer oily looking. I use this with day time lotion for sensitive skin. Amazing!

FABULOUS for reducing redness
-01.22.13
Quick Take: milky
I have redness all over my face (rosacea). I have tried many many different brands to reduce the redness (Perricone, Clinique, Origins (Dr Weil), and others). But REN is the first one to ever actually work. I use this cleansing milk, and also the night cream and serum and they have worked wonders on me. The difference is actually amazing. This is the very first time I've ever reviewed anything but I wanted to make sure to let you know - if you need to reduce redness, try the tester set and see. i LOVE it!

Good for cleansing, but not makeup removal
-11.06.12
Quick Take: milky, gentle
As a gentle, hydrating cleanser for dry sensitive skin, I really like this product. However, I did not think this took off my makeup well at all. I would cleanse first with a makeup remover and then use this to remove the makeup-remover greasiness and gently hydrate your skin.

I've always had clear skin and now that im 23 I noticed breakouts on my t-zone , mostly likely from stress or hormonal changes. My dermatologist recommended this for me to try and wow , just after one use I noticed a reduction in redness and size of pores. Amazing. I use the hydra-calm day cream with it and my face cleared up within days. Will continue to buy !

Very gentle, not 100% effective
-08.30.12
Quick Take: milky
I love this cleansing milk. I think it smells great and I love using it with my Clarisonic. I have incredibly sensitive skin and am using Rx acne medication (Differin) so I really need a non-drying cleanser. Ren is great, however, I cannot use it on its own. I need to use a foaming cleanser (like Boscia or Trader Joe's Nourish) every other day for my skin to feel really clean. I wouldn't say that this cleanser breaks me out per se but I would say that I get fewer whiteheads when I combine with a foaming cleanser once every few washes.

This is very gentle and calming, but does not do a good job of cleansing the skin of makeup and all the grim from the day.

My go to cleanser.
-07.04.12
I have super sensitive skin so anything too drying really irritates it. This stuff is perfect for me. I have almost stopped breaking out and the redness I had in my cheeks has diminished almost completely. I have to give some credit to Origins Mega Mushroom for the redness, but before this product even that hadn't taken it away all the way. I'm on my second bottle of it and it's definitely worth the price.

Excellent

I have super sensitive reactive skin and this cleanser works beautifully on my face. I've tried other brands and I always come back to this cleanser. My only complaint is that I wish it was sold separately in a travel size as opposed to having to buy the whole kit.

great for dry sensitive skin
-05.28.12
Quick Take: milky, moisturizing, for sensitive skin, for dry skin
good cleanser, great for very dry sensitive skin, milky consistency (will not get foamy) so if you like milky cleansers this is a good one for you.
did not make me break out or get red dry spots like most cleansers. also the pump is a good design so it does not waste much product at the end like some pumps do.
I used to use korres milk cleanser but after Johnson and Johnson bought them out and changed the formula (added fragrance etc) it made me get red spots so I had to find a new cleanser for my sensitive skin. This one works great.
