I have been using cheap straightening irons from Sally Beauty Supply since high school and decided to invest in a high quality iron.
I was on the fence about this iron and the ghd IV styler for some time and after reading the reviews for both decided that this one would be better for me. The only feature I would really like that the ghd has is the emergency shut off that turns it off if you accidentally leave it plugged in. And the ghd can be used to curl your hair....but honestly I'm not talented enough to do that anyway!
I was excited to try a wet to dry iron but wasn't expecting it to work but it really does! I straighten my wavy hair so much more than I used to because I don't have to use a blow dryer anymore.
The wider plates are also perfect for people with thicker hair like mine to cut down on straightening time. Overall, this iron makes my hair look shinier and healthier than any other straightening iron I have ever used and takes about half the time to straighten my hair.

Hot stuff!- 11.12.09

Love this! Four stars only because the price is ridiculous. I have some very coarse hair after radiation treatments and the rest of my hair is super thick with natural wave. I've used the cheaper drug store straighteners with good results but you can't beat the heat with this little baby! I still recommend using a product in your damp hair that protects it from heat; I also recommend doing a quick blow dry before straightening. You can use it on wet hair and I have but the hair suffers. My recommendation is to use it on hair one day after washing for best results. If you have thick hair like me, be patient. You'll need to section hair off and go over it slowly multiple times but you'll get the "skinny" results you're looking for. Test the heat level for your particular hair type. And enjoy having straight hair for up to three days!

I had the mini iron by T3 (the hot pink one) and I have really thick and long hair, super wavy, and frizzy, and the pink one couldn't handle it. I finally traded it in for this one and the difference is HUGE. It's way more powerful - I can straighten my hair, go out in humidity, and it doesn't wave up. It also feels like it clamps my hair better; the other one was not so strong. It didn't feel like it closed enough. Anyway, I love this one.

Quick Take: horrible
I despise this iron. It is the second worst invention after the CHI ofcourse. It does not work wet unless you really want to fry your hair. I have curly hair and nothing keeps it straight. I live in Houston where the weather is hot and humiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid. Best advice is to get the GHD flat iron. It is God greatest invention to straighten hair.... I don't know what to do without it. It now comes in a light pink for breast cancer month.

I love this hair straightener. I've owned a few, and this is the only one that doesn't burn my hair or yank on it. The wide plates make straightening the hair a lot faster and the fact that you can do so while your hair is still a bitt damp (not wet--it frizzes), is a lmajor plus!

It really does straighten wet hair- 10.09.09

I was thinking that I would return this when I bought it, but it turned out to be much better than my $30 version of a wet-dry flat iron. As long as the hair is not dripping wet, it's GREAT. It's been a true time-saver as I'm now done in 15 minutes for my long hair instead of the half hour it used to take. Although it's definitely an investment at this price, it has been worth it. I use it almost every day!

This thing has made my hair impenetrable to humidity! I live in very humid Houston, TX, and since using this flat iron through a rainy and humid week that would normally cause my flat-ironed hair to curl before I even leave the house, my hair has stayed straight and sleek. I'm still learning how to do it with a little movement so it's not stick straight, but I'll take stick straight over thick and frizzy any day!

This is the 2nd wet or dry iron I have owned. My first one got cooked on a trip to Italy. I'm glad they've resolved that issue! Nothing worse than losing a $200 flat iron.
Anyway, I never would have forked over another $200 had the previous iron not made my hair the straightest and sleekest it has ever been. I also own another T3, the narrower duality iron and it does not compare to the wet-to-dry.
This is truly the best iron. I love not needing to dry. It also works wonders on my bangs; being able to use the iron on my wet bands really gets those cowlicks flattened out like nothing else can.

I usually used to buy remington brand irons and they were useless compared to this one. It has lasted me over a year and it still gives me shine. Its a bit pricey but it is worth it.,...a must have. BEST HAIR STRAIGHTNER EVER!! I bought it a year and a half ago and I haven't had any problems with it. It heats up really well and straightens your hair quicky. I personally wouldn't recommend using it with wet hair because it takes a really long time getting it dry and them the additional time straighting it.

This is my first T3 iron and I just bought this iron and used it for the first time this morning. The plates feel very different than my previous ceramic iron, not bad different, just different...but that could just be the need to get use to the iron and the fact that it is a tourmaline plate. I used on damp hair and while it didn't dry it all the way it did straighten it and keep it that way until it dried completely. I have a short bob hair style and this size iron worked great, however, if I wanted curls it probably wouldn't work. There are no gaps in the plates when they touch which is obviously what you want out a good iron. Heats up in a snap, even to the hottest temp setting. I have no doubt I will love this iron.

I have very thick and naturally curly hair that is coarse and colored. The length of my hair is about 3 inches past my shoulder. With this flat iron I can straighten my hair without damiging it within 10 minutes. Every straightener I have used prior to this one would break some part of my hair and create split ends. This flat iron is AMAZING and my hair looks like it should be on a commercial. Everytime I leave the house I am receiving at least 3-5 compliments from women I do not know about my hair! Definitely worth the money!
