Nice, but not amazing.

I love Clarins. When I saw this product online I thought it would be my one stop fix for SPF. With oily skin, this is not something that works well for face. It was too thick and oily. Probably great for a summer product, but I wanted something useable year-round. Returned.

My everyday sunscreen!

I love this sunscreen. I use it on my face, neck, and shoulders every day because I live in the desert. SPF 30 is perfectly sufficient for daily use, and because I wear it under my makeup, it holds well and can be applied with a normal degree of thickness. One tube lasts approximately two to three months (maybe longer, but my husband likes it too and alternates between this and the SPF 20 spray).
What I like about it ...
It is GREAT for sensitive skin and hasn't made me break out at all! I wear it all over my face, including eyelids, and it's comfortable and keeps my skin soft but not oily.
It smells nice! A little bit sunscreen-y but not in an offensive way. Kind of a light perfume, but not obnoxious or overly-flowery. Even my husband really likes the scent.
It spreads well, and a little goes a long way.
It's made by a French company that emphasizes natural ingredients.
It interacts well with my foundation and eyeshadow. One slight con is that is does make my eyeliner smudge a little bit if I don't prime the eyes with a light dusting of powder on top of the sunscreen and foundation. Then again, my eyeliner is not waterproof and sometimes smudges anyway, so it's not entirely the fault of the sunscreen.
And, best of all, it safeguarded my skin against an afternoon of intense sun on the beach, so I know that it really works! I've tried a lot of expensive (often oily or overfragranced) sunscreens, and although this one is on the somewhat pricey side, I've been really happy with it. Highly recommend.

As a person who is very conscious about skin care and protecting my skin from the sun, I can tell you I have tried all sunscreens, from drugstore brands to expensive brands. My search ended with Clarins. I love the texture, it's not gooey like glue or greasy. It's like cream and it absorbs really well into the skin without leaving a white cast. I love the smell, nice and light perfume. I love that it is truly sweat resistant. I never have to worry about it stinging my eyes unlike other brands with their sweat-resistant claims.

I had to get a good SPF 30 for my trip and first I looked at 'fancy' Clarins brand, which is way more expensive. The girl in Sephora pushed me to get it and after me telling her where my destination was - she pushed it even further and "recommended" SPF 50! 'Why?' you'd ask - because from what I found out from her: "Bermuda is close to equator and you will burn with SPF 30 there!" LOL Wow! Sadly enough, some staff members are didn't learn geaography and clueless as she was I'd spent extra $20 for an island in Atlantic, off the coast of N.Carolina in November (off season)

Clarins' sunscreen leaves an incredible glow on the the skin. Whenever I use it people comment on how beautiful my skin looks. Highly recommended. It's a little too heavy for the face.

I use this after moisturiser, on a daily basis. It doesn't iritate my skin, amd makes it very very soft. It is not oily at all, but the skin is nurished.
Compared to other non-iritating SPF products - it leaves zero white traces on your face. It really is non-comedogenic and has nice naturall smell.
I use it to protect the hands, and they look nourished, too

This is a good day at the beach sunscreen, not an everyday sunscreen. It has a thick, sticky feel when rubbed in and it does cast a white-blueish look to the skin that never blends in or fades.

I have conbination skin and this product makes my skin OILY.
normally I put it under my makeup and after few hours later, all over my face becomes greasy.
also the fragrance is vey strong, so if you are senstive about smell, you need keep looking.
it's only food for body I think.

Quick Take: overly perfumed, leaves a whitish film
I bought a full tube of this hoping it would be a great sunscreen find but I was disappointed with the strong perfumed fragrance as well as the whitish film it left on my skin. I wouldn't put this on my face! It's a good sunscreen, just not something I want to smell all day when I'm out in the sun. Plus, I do look like a ghost with it on.

Clarins seems to work best for me and I've always had no problems with this product - at the beach and for daily wear. It filters out UVA and UVB rays so it's great. It works great under make up as well. I usually go through 2-3 tubes a year.
