I think that this is a good place to start for someone like me who is completely new to the make-up game. My only wish is that they had different colors to offset different eye colors.

A Bit too Shiny - 11.16.09
I do love the way this goes on, but I have "older" eyes and it is a bit on the shiny side but with the mineral veil over it as a finish, it works great. Love the colors that are included.

Should have tried it sooner... - 11.15.09
After using the Bare Escentuals mineral foundation for two years, I decided to try the shadows. I wish I would have sooner! This is a great kit, it really comes with everything you need and the colors not only go well together, but they are essential ones that every girl should have. The Peach Puff was my favorite one of the bunch.

The shadows last and build nicely and the brushes are great. I am not sure if these are full sizes but either way you get a lot of product.

One of my favorite Sephora purchases yet!!! - 11.04.09

This is hands down one of my top 5 purchases from sephora yet. It is so good that I had to purchase another for my sister. The colors are great, brushes are great...its just great!!

This kit is a great value and a must have for pretty much anyone!!! If you're going to spend money on eyeshadow then this is the one...its so versatile!! I say 10 stars, not 5!

This is probably one of my most used eyeshadow kits. The colros can be softened for day looks or darkened to go evening. The warm shades are neutral enough for all skin types. The brushes are fab. Since you use so little the product lasts forever. This is a great value. Everyone should have this kit

The Get Started Eyes (contains a helpful DVD) allows you to create lovely, soft eye make-up without harsh black lines. I have reddish brown hair, and the Soft Focus Explore (soft brown) is dark enough as eyeliner. The soft peach tones perk up the eye area.

I am not a huge make-up person and found this kit extremely easy to use with satisfying results. However, I found that the colors are really dull and muted. I would have preferred something that made my eyes pop a little more.

I've heard great things about Bare Escentuals, and thought this would be a great kit to try out. I loved the brushes, but was not a fan of the powders or the shades that it came in. I thought being neutrals they would blend well on anyone, but it wasn't what i was expecting at all. It's such a great idea and helpful for anyone who is new at applying makeup or just wants to try out new techniques. But, overall, I'm sorry to say it was just money down the drain for me.

I followed the detailed instructions, it takes a while to get the angled brush technique down. I found "patting" it rather than a brush stroke worked best. I wasn't really happy with the peach color, as it made my eyes "red" looking, but other colors are available at Sephora, and I will try them. My mascara didn't 'bleed' under my eyes at all when using these shadows, and this has been a problem for me for years!

I am a COMPLETE be convert!! The eye shadows are silky and smooth and a little goes a LONG way. The powder mascara was tricky at first, because I had never used any like it before... but the brushes were great and the directions were nice. And It stayed on ALL night!!

I like that it gives you the tips for application that work well, however at the end of the day, the peach color looks too orangey and the eyeliner shade is too light for my liking. The shades aren't good for lighter skin. I'll save it for when I have more of a tan

the only thing i don't love about this set is the tiny eyeliner brush, i prefer the slanted ones. besides that, this is perfect, if you cant decide what to get, or you want that pretty natural eye look.
