Not so Gentle

Quick Take: irritating
I only used this cleanser one time. I have sensitive skin that has been too dry lately. I've been searching for a more gentle, but effective cleanser. This isn't it. After I washed with this my face did not look clean. (I did remove all makeup prior to using.) A short time later my face started to burn and itch. This lasted for hours. I won't be giving it another try.

I have sensitive skin with a whole host of issues - prone to oiliness but easily dried out, easily irritated by many products, roseacea, the works. This is a wonderful cleanser. Cleanses well without stripping or irritation. Yay!

Quick Take: foamy
It does a good job not over drying my skin or irritating it. It didn't really do anything for the acne that I've been recently developing. So, it's okay. It just didn't help me the way I wanted. I'm going to continue using it hoping it will eventually help.

my holy grail facewash

Since discovering this facewash 5 or 6 years ago, I have not used anything else. I have sensitive acne-prone skin. I had severe acne before using this and had tried hundreds of facewashes...but they all just kept irritating my skin more. i tried this facewash, and it's so thorough and gentle that i have been able to use it with or without acne medication and it has calmed my skin down tremendously. i no longer have acne! It's the only facewash I have found that feels both effective (makes my face feel clean, lathers up, gets rid of dirt and grime, doesn't leave residue on face) and gentle. LOVE this stuff!

I have truly super sensitive skin and this is a no! It burned on contact and caused me to break out. Shame cause I love the dew the the eye cream!

This is a great daily cleanser for my somewhat sensitive skin. It foams up but doesn't leave skin tight after rinsing. I remove makeup prior to using this.

Quick Take: exfoliating, moisturizing
i have tried so many different washes- murad, dermalogica ,cereve, mary kay, MAC and the list goes on. I love this stuff and my mom and 6 sisters and have all noticed a difference in how moisturized my face looks. I have the mask, and night and day moisturizers also.

I have been having the worst time with cleansers. I have maturing , sensitive and yet greasy and break out prone skin. Most cleansers either wrecked my skin or didnt clean it enough and I would break out anyway. This has a great balance between getting my skin clean and not iritating it.

My husband and I both use this product. Works VERY well if you are looking to clean out your pores and have nice clean feeling skin. I myself have very sensitive skin but have no problem with this product.

This is a great cleanser. I am never afraid to use it- it never irritates or dries out my face. It takes of all my makeup and leaves my skin feeling just like before- except clean. There are no harsh side effects and it really is the gentlest cleanser I have ever had. If I have to wash my face 3x a day, I always use this in the afternoon for the 2nd time. It doesn't make my skin all dry and red. It's perfect! I will definitely repurchase. It's a great value for the price and like all DDF washes, takes very very little product to work. I would recommend this to ANYONE.

I've been using this product since 10/16/2010 and I've been practically break-out free.I want to credit the small break-outs, and I do mean small break-outs ,to my skin getting adjusted to the product itself, but time will tell. One thing is for sure, my skin is not tight or irritated; my reason for the 4 stars.

I have been in the search for a good cleanser for my skin type which is dry and sensitive. Normally I got cleansers for dry skin and did not think much of the sensitivity factor. But recently my esthetician told me that I should consider purchasing a cleanser that was specific to my sensitive skin and so I decided to try this one. I have to say that I love this cleanser. It is extremely gentle and lightweight and it leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. Many cleanser tend to dry out my skin but this one did not. I would recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin.

It didn't feel like it was cleaning my skin as well as other cleansers. My pores were getting clogged even after using it with my Clarisonic. It also left that filmy feeling.
I am going to return it and try something else.
