GREAT PRODUCT- 11.17.09

This iron is absolutely amazing and worth every dime. I'm hispanic with somewhat thick curly hair, I always blow dry and then iron. After researching flat irons for a few days I decided to try the Sedu iron first since it was cheaper and had good reviews, it was awful. The Sedu would lose its heat before reaching my ends on every single try. Although I kept the temp below 340 on it I felt it was scorching my hair. The same day I ordered the GHD. It's amazing. It straightened my hair on the 1st or 2nd swipe at most. While, I was really worried that the GHD's lack of temp control would be a problem it was not. It adjusts its temp on its own and perfectly. My ends were left super smooth. While I've never had a problem achieving straight hair, I have never gotten as good results as I have with this iron. My hair is super soft and silkier than ever. All the reviews claiming that their hair would stay smooth and frizz free even in humidity are absolutely true. Normally the slightest amounts of humidity would get my hair poofy and frizzy. After I first straightened with the GHD I spent two days outside not only in humidity but also sprinkles of rain and my hair remained perfectly straight and frizz free. Not sure what technology in the GHD made that possible but it's definitely what makes it the superior product. I found it to be great quality, doesn't feel cheap or flimsy at all. I got the pink styler gift package, but if you don't need a case the angel set is cheaper and brings hair styling products for less than the styler alone. Although this brings no cd, you can find plenty of styling tips for it on youtube. I love this iron and totally recommend buying it. Truly worth the price- 11.14.09

I purchased this flatiron about four months ago and have been using it nearly every day since. At first, I was nervous about spending so much on one thing, (especially considering I used an entire summer's savings to buy it!) but I can now say it's THE best beauty purchase i've ever made. For the first time in YEARS, i'm able to wear my hair down every day instead of in a ponytail, and I have hair I can rely on to look good day-to-day. I'd never been the type of girl to get complimented on having pretty hair until I started using my ghd. Try this and give it a chance. After using it for a few weeks, you'll be wowed and wonder why you ever thought twice about buying it!

I bought the ghd at Sephora in January. A few weeks ago, it stopped working. I called ghd, and they told me there was nothing they could do because I did not save the receipt. Even though I had registered the flat iron when I bought it, they wouldn't help me out! Now, this iron is not cheap, but it is worth every penny. Using a cheap flat iron was not giving me the results I wanted, so I called the store to see if they could find the receipt for me......and they told me to just bring the iron in and they would replace it. I couldn't believe it! No receipt....no problem. I have my ghd back, my hair looks great again, and Sephora's customer service rocks!

This is hands down the best hair toll I have ever used. I have coarse, thick hair so with other irons it takes a couple runs to make my hair straight. With GHD, all I need one sweep and it does the work. I use thermal protectant, still I think it treats my hair better than others i think. I made curls for this as well and I could not believe it! It really achieves what it promises and the DVD inside is very helpful. It is expensive but I think it is worth it.

This styler is so much more than a basic flat tron. I have used a Chi and Paul Mitchell in the past, but felt like my hair wasbeing scorched in the process. THe GHD is easy to use and very quick to style my coarse thick hair. It is worth every penny without a doubt.

I LOVE this straightener! I have it in hot pink, and it always makes my layers look amazing! My bangs are flawless looking once I sweep them with this! My hair always feels so soft after I use it. It's worth the price!

I have naturally straight hair. The shampoos and conditioners sold in USA made my hair too soft and I hate to have prints easily after I band my hair for just one minute. I was hesitant to purchase it because I believe even a cheap one could make my naturally straight hair straight. I did bought one from Walgreen but it broke pretty soon. I was amazed to find out how efficient this ghd is. It might be too good for me because I am not skillful in shaping my hair. Whenever I made a small mistake on my hair such as twisting a small angle when I wanted to straighten it, it immediately showed on my hair. I tried to curl my hair using ghd. It worked and could prolong a long time but it was not easy to have a nice curl for a beginner using a flat iron. Before I use it, I had a concern about the inability to adjust the temperature. The temperature turned out to be great. The only shortcoming is the price and I am not sure about how sturdy it is since I just bought it for a week. Up to now, it works pretty well and it heats up very fast!

I was pretty hesitant to buy such an expensive product, but what the heck, if it didn't work, I could always return it. And when I first tried it, it works!!! I even tried it on my wet hair, took a few more strokes per strand, and it look like I had my hair straight permed. I am very glad I got this. It is worth it.

This is seriously the best straightener I have ever tried! It is a bit pricey, but if you add up all the money I've spent over the years on cheap con-air/drugstore/mall brand straighteners this is well worth the money!! Heats up super fast, straightens hair in one pass. I have thick, wavey hair and this straightens it in no time flat; leaving soft silky hair. A definite must buy for me- I have recommended it to all my family and friends!

This straightener heats up insanely quickly, and glides right through your hair. My hair is quite thick, long and curly, so I do have to do smaller sections at a time (because the instrument is a bit narrow), but you only have to run it through once; no repeats! I have the regular ghd IV because I have bangs, and I travel a lot, so I didn't go for the thicker one. My hairstylist also says that her CHI lets too much heat escape into the handle and the other side of the plates, which uses a lot of energy to keep at a high heat. I don't have that issue at all with this straightener. One caveat: I wish it came with a case.

i just bought this yesterday and its great. If they are selling the angel set that come wih the straightner and the 2 products and round brush and comb its alot better deal at 210. but it does an amazing job cuz my hair is so thick and frizzy. it calms it down so much. I LOVE IT!
