I hemmed and hawed over the makeup removers and eventually chose Clean & Sober for its mostly natural ingredients and cruelty-free status. I've tried it twice and it just doesn't work very well. The night I bought it I used it to remove the NARS mascara I'd tried at Sephora. It was the only makeup I had on and it just wouldn't come off. Next I used it to take off a full black smudgy eye look. The shadow took quite a few swipes, but still no luck with the mascara. Time for a return...sigh.
This product is great because it does not leave your skin feeling oily afterward. It can be used by itself or as a cleanser, by just adding water. The versatility is great!
I had read several of reviews on this product and decided to purchase yesterday along with UD mineral foundation (which i will be returning the foundation this weekend.) But this is a great product. I wear UD eyeshadow, eye primer potion, and 24/7 eyeliner and this took it all off without a problem. The smell was great, and no dark circles under my eyes. GREAT!!!!

Very underwhelming. Unless I am doing something impressively wrong, this product doesn't remove face make up very well, unless you use A BUNCH. It is great on eye make up and smells great (2 stars). Third star is because it actually seems to improve the condition of my skin more than removing with a cleanser alone AND it will not sting your eyes (unless you pump the stuff directly into your eye. then it burns.). Not sure if I will re-buy, which is sad, because I adore Urban Decay in almost every thing else.
I loved the packaging on this cleanser and that it smelled nice and was soothing. It had trouble taking off UD's own 24-7 pencils and sometimes foundation too if I used primer. I did expect it would have trouble with the lip stains but after I used up this bottle I switched to a different cleanser and I won't buy this one again.

All I can say is wow! First of all, I love the fact that you do not need to rinse it off. Just apply on your face in a gentle circular motion and either remove w/ cotton pads or a really soft towel and all the make just comes off! I had trouble removing the 24/7 eye liners w/ other removers and clean & sober removes the liner w/o any hesitation, no more racoon eyes when I go to bed! The smell is also divine, it's clean and fresh smelling and that hint of lavender is so calming and smoothing. Plus I just want to say that it has never stung my eyes.
I was getting so tired of scrubbing at my mascara-- and only succeeding in getting burning soap in my eyes. But this stuff is magic! Just a tiny little squirt on a cotton ball (really! u dont need much) and all your makeup is smoothed away. Doesnt burn. Doesnt itch. And never leaves your skin feeling dry or pulled. Awesome buy for the money.
I always take off my makeup before I go to bed, and this stuff really works. I have very sensitive skin, and I don't even feel this stuff. It smells so good, too. This product takes all my makeup off, and I never have racoon eyes when I step out of the shower. I've gotten my roomate and my mom hooked on this stuff. I really shouldn't be suprised with this product, with the high-quality standard I'm used to from Urban Decay, but I am.
This is easy to use and great for sensitive skin. I rarely wear makeup and have very sensitive skin this was great I simply squirted some in my hand rubbed on my face in a circular motion then took a soft makeup remover pad and wiped it off. No makeup left, no redness on my skin or anything. It even gets mascara off very easily without the teary eyes.
When I first used this makeup remover, it stung a little, but when I came back to it a month or so later after I stopped using a pretty intensive acne treatment, it was fine. This makeup remover removes all my heaviest eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, and basically anything on my face almost effortlessly I love the gel form because it's much easier to control how much you want to use. I find it to have a very soothing smell and it contains manuka honey which has been shown to help with acne or at least help this not break you out. One of the best parts is that this is oil-free. Also the bottle is very cute. Unfortunately the cap for mine broke so it's kind of hard to travel with it but it's easy to transfer a small amount to another container for a short trip. I highly recommend you try this.

I've tryed cheaper makeup remover before and they really stung my eyes. But when I tryed Urban Decay's make up remover it didnt sting at all, it smelled really nice ,and it came in a really cute bottle. I would recommend this product to people who have sensitive skin. I will buy this again when I run out.
I love this product. I wasn't even looking for makeup remover on my visit. Thr Urban Decay rep was at the store and showed it to me. It's very light weight and a little goes a long way! I would definitely recommend it!

I have tried brand after brand of makeup remover, from Neutrogena to Estee Lauder and no matter what, the stuff always stings. Not Urban Decay's Clean & Sober! You can even get this stuff in your eye and you wont have that funky film-over-lense sensation as with other removers! NO BURN, NO STING! Best part about it is the fact that you can use it as a mild cleanser and even wipe your face and leave it on. So on those nights when all you want to do is wash off your makeup and hit the sack, you can do just that. Definately the BEST makeup remover I have ever used. Also, it comes in a handy pump, so NO MORE SPILLED PRODUCT!
